When First Buses announced it would be closing its Clacton depot and ceasing a number of local services, we raised concerns and met with First to discuss these. We also met with senior staff at Hedingham Omnibuses after it announced it would be taking on many of the routes, again to address concerns about quality and quantity of services. Our council tax team are aiming to issue payments within the next 2 weeks. Those customers who pay their council tax by direct debit will receive their payments automatically into their bank account. Customer who do not pay by direct debit and qualify for the mandatory scheme will receive an on-line form. Keep an eye out on our social media pages for any updates.

Residents are only allowed to burn garden waste in Tendring and we advise against burning anything in the garden at the moment whilst Covid controls are in place. No, there are no limits on the amount of bags that can be placed in the food waste caddy. It may well be that when the collector tips the caddy, the food bag has leaked and is stuck to the caddy itself. The collectors don't scrape around any stuck items, so we suggest that residents keep the caddy clean so its easily able to be emptied. It may be advisable to put some newspaper or shredded paper at the bottom of the caddy to help with any leakages. If this is all being done and you are still having problems, then please contact us directly with your address so we can investigate further.
