Nearly 2 months ago I reported my garden waste bin had been so damaged by the …
Renewed my bus pass at the Ripley Office. My email enquiry was answered in a very friendly and helpful way and I decided to go to the Council Offices. It couldn’t have been easier. Reception staff were great and took my photograph for the pass. It all worked out well. Thanks to Amber Valley Borough Council staff in Ripley
Asked for 2 broken wheelie bins to be removed in April. Still here in July despite multiple chases. Bored of ringing to now. Going over someones fence this afternoon I think. No delay taking my council tax payments though let me tell you.
Spoke to planning today (Mr Thompson), he gave me excellent advise, his knowledge is exceptional. Thank you.
I had a collection of glass from the house refused and left next to our recycling bin with a sign “Unsafe to lift”. There were possibly 6 bottles over the top of the bin which I carried quite easily and safely. On talking to the Council, I …
I have just rung Amber Valley Council to amend my banking details for my Direct Debit to pay my council tax. I was put through to the correct department straight away and was met with a very cheerful and polite young lady who quickly did as …
I have to agree with some of the other reviewers; I have contacted this council on two important matters in the past couple of years. They simply found it all too difficult to take action – even requesting that I do their work for them on …
They don’t care about local safety of children, emergency vehicle access to residence and estates.
Don’t care about people’s objections even when overwhelming. …
Am not sure who I just spoke to on the phone this morning of 25th May regarding a bin replacement but they need to seriously reconsider how they speak to people. We pay our council tax and make a simple request to be spoken to in a snappy, rude and condescending manner? Very disappointed.
Very poor customer service and support.
I purchased a license for green waste which was then “paused”.
10 weeks later I am still awaiting my refund even though i have had the bin taken away and the license has been personally delivered back to them!
I moved into the area in December 2018. Since then I have been passed around various councils and utility companies, about the flooding and damage to my property. …
This is a difficult one for me, because I have had good and bad with them. But, the bad is generally the people they subcontract out to, futures being the main culprit for the heaviest of critical votes I will give 3/10. Mainly because they …
Website down again. Pay your bills! lol
Absolutely awful. When requesting disability services, I was told my disability was a lifestyle choice (I was in an accident that wasn’t my fault, so I had no choice in the matter) and that I should stop playing the disability card.
My enquiry was dealt with by A Worthington and it was pleasant, quick and exactly what I needed, which is rare these days! Thank you!
Disgusting service from the housing team, promised a call back from management, never received, I’m now homeless with no support from them.
Totally dislike Amber valley Borough Council, everytime there is a issue or with my bin not being emptied properly, it’s all too much hassle for them. Disgusting service how they get away with it is anyone’s guess!!
If you have any land and are thinking about enquirying for building land definitely worth applying to amber valley as they pass everything.
Not good at all. Nobody cares about poor people at all. Streets are dirty and nobody cleans them although everybody has to pay a council tax
One third of Amber Valley Borough Council in Derbyshire, England is elected each year, followed by one year without election. Since the last boundary changes in 2000, 45 councillors have been elected from 23 wards.
Amazing people here, helped me when no one else would. Wheelchair accessible and accommodate your needs and privacy.
Absolutely ridiculous service and rude staff, waste of time and the worst council I have ever dealt with.
The lady I spoke to today couldn’t have been more helpful and has to be one of the most pleasant people I have spoken to on the telephone for a while!
I think it’s time for everyone to come back to work or back to normal and that includes doctors
I have always found the council helpful and do their best to resolve matters
cant even get leaves sweeped up in somercotes outside church i slipped on them !!!
