Write a ReviewThis centre located on the high road it has underground parking to the side of the building.
It quite moden and spacious. On the premises we have a swimming pool, gym dance …
The soft play area is not too bad BUT pretty small and unfortunately not open space like other Better centres. Although it’s pretty clean I have to say that lots of small balls are broken. Would be great if area for not walking children …
Good morning, the comment about this gym is bad, starting with the lack of organization, every Saturday I went with my children to the pools where they did a test and received a wristband to use the entire pool, however the last Saturday …
Loved it. Staff were great.
Nice size rink replenished often enough. So very pleased. …
Used better gym facility, good equipment not too busy at 10 am. Changing facilities fine, but showers could use some improvement water not draining water properly sometimes. Make sure to get qr code before leaving parking area. Parking is located next to tesco car park look for the signs.
After the negative experience turn into a better one.
Marva from the complaints team give me a call and in a very professional manner handled my problem. The company refunded my money and give me the same amount of …
Wow.. what an experience.. been using center for a month now ..staff seemed nice and friendly till I met manager. Went for public ice skating. I pay monthly membership- so there was no bookings available and lots of ice users also one of …
Desperately in need of 1. Better training for the front desk staffs. To think outside the box, you can deal with your sticky issues and unsatisfied customer which mainly due to your incompetence, while you multitask as a gate keeper to let …
Great place with lots to offer but awful front desk staffs. Words to the staffs: if you hate your job, quit. Don’t stay and give bad customer service. Ever since Better taken over by Lambeth Active, the services has gone down hill.
Courts finally resurfaced. To be honest they are definitely repolished, they claimed to have laid a new floor, but I’ve played there for years to know it’s the same. The polish that they’ve done will only probably last a couple weeks and …
Painful SOP for children to attend every lesson, lining up at busy counters that’s dealing with all sort of matters, while those who had signed up for lessons waiting forever to just get in. Inefficiency at it’s worst, when we are on-going …
It was good center before but now it is getting worse and worse. Today (15/01/23), the water was cold in the swimming pool in the morning class. Teachers were arguing amongst themselves who will take the class. Kids were shivering and they turned off the showers. This is outrageous as kids could get severely ill.
I would leave 0 stars if I can. Paid for a student membership and uploaded my ID, then suspended my account saying no ID uploaded. No way for me to upload another ID, multiple email unanswered, phone unanswered, now still charge me for my membership!
They need to create a separate website for ice skating because the system they’ve got in place now isn’t working. Can’t get a booking or find any of the info I need. It just keeps prompting me to join and start a membership. They don’t …
Really enjoy the venue. Two minor niggles: I) front desk really slow to let you in, and ii) crack down by new management on wearing earphones.
Unfortunately Active Lambeth took over recently and made a right pig’s ear of the transfer over the weekend.
One really felt for the brilliant reception (but hard pressed) staff were having …
This is a great fun night out with your kids. We had a birthday party here, you can burn of loads of energy and have the best time here. Staff were great, atmosphere is so uplifting and high octane energy. Brilliant night.
I really like this place, especially the ice skating, but the lady at reception was really nice, very sweet and helpful, i think her name was spelt yeraldine, she helped me with my membership, I’ll definitely be coming back
An employee near closing time tried to direct me off of the ice, but didn’t realise I was a beginner so didn’t know how to brake quickly, so they knocked me over and I broke my nose.
I love to ice skate. Lovely team. Just prices raising all the time. Double in a year 😬 …
I used the swimming pool yesterday for the first time, and was rather disappointed with it. It is underground, with no natural lighting, the changing cubicles have very narrow benches, almost impossible to sit on, and in the pool itself, Lane discipline is neither enforced nor observed. I find I prefer Clapham!
I played ice hockey there. Its really good, but the rental skates are not good and uncomfortable. I now have my own skates but i would recommend buying your own unless its a one time thing… Good rink, really nice.
very disappointed with the soft play🤮 no staff was present to enforce basic rules set out for both parents and children. The hygiene levels is well below acceptable this place needs a good overhaul. …
SWIMMING (with school)
I attended swimming lessons with my school, which was extremely disappointing. …
Over crowded for lane swimming and lane direction etc is not enforced so they turn into a free for all or people stood chatting in the middle of the slow lane. Good facility poorly managed pool
It was ok I arrived 10 minutes and only had 40 mins as we had to pay for the skates at the desk, usually you could pay online. Prices are a bit more expensive.
Went and played ice hockey there on a Saturday evening. Parking was extortionate and wasn’t reduced even though it wasnt in the non peak time like described on the hourly rate. Just over 3 hours = £9.
Fantastic time watching Streatham play Ice Hockey. Only let down is the Car Park. Stayed just over 6 hours and got absolutely shafted with an £80 fee…
Loved it. We had so much fun on the ice rink. Professional service. Thank you
I’ve been coming here for more than two years now and there been many days when you had to wait at the desk for 15min often not welcome, luckily now an automatic entry save the day! Some stuff are nice others grumpy, no consistent in …
Too pricey, I used to pay £18 for a whole family ice skating experience. Now I end up paying £35 for the only 3 of us. Overall, the experience was fun and I enjoyed it.
Very disappointing… there was no clear sign at the entrance nor the website that the lifts were out of service.
The lady let me pay then came to me and explained the lift is not working. …
Great rink but never any public skate spots available to book at the weekend. Sell out seemingly before they’re posted…
A great facility which has become run down. Filthy toilets, many staff disengaged, no enthusiasm to go above and beyond. Wouldn’t take much to bring it back up to the facility it once was.
Trying to find out basic details about ice skating sessions (e.g., what is an “ice patch” session?) is impossible on the website, and if you phone, nobody picks up. What a waste of time.
…this was the first time and it was nice and big (our session was 2.15pm on a saturday and by time we left at 3.15 it seemed considerably more crowded in there) …our only complaint (1 star lost for it) is that the website doesn’t let …
Love this place, great for beginners, only downside is it gets really crowded during the summer.
Outrageous price increases since the take over. They claim it is in line with inflation but some activities are 25% more expensive. This is a rip-off!
I’ve never ice skatted before but gave it a go with my family. Really nice atmosphere. Price is excellent and the staff are so friendly and pleasant. Definitely would take the children back.
One of the better NIHL 1S rinks. PA difficult to hear though.
Always have an enjoyable swim here with modern facilities. The ice rink is a bonus too – I think it’s one of the few still left in South London.
Went skating there for the first time in about 30 years. They have done an amazing job of the place. The staff are all exceptionally nice and helpful. Easy to park and get into the place. Whole family had a wonderfull time. Kudos to the staff 👏. …
Recently moved my membership from the gym group to here so I could use the swimming facilities and I’m extremely disappointed. …
Not worth the effort going through the registration part and giving out all of my personal information so they could keep it and use it for whatever they want….
Olympic-size rink which is great, toilets are mostly well sign-posted and even after a hockey game they were still well stocked with toilet roll and soap (which is often not the case in some arenas). Place is well lit, with lifts and stairs …
I don’t usually like to complain about places.
You would think after booking a session it would be on there sistom. It …
They skate lessons always start ten minutes late and only last for 30 minutes. It is appallingly run, totally inefficient and a complete rip off.
Very nice place! Big with so many facilities for wellbeing including gym , swimming!, ice skating ⛸ etc
Kids love it, had a birthday party and all the kids love it. Not very busy as well.
Such poor customer service! Really shocking. Hours on the phone waiting to get through. Got so bored I actually walked there before someone answered my call. Then was told no booking was required for softplay and just to come back after 10. …
Reception staff are mostly absolutely awful. Intimidating not helpful at all and almost act like you are interrupting their day. Literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If there’s an incident they have no clue what to …
The leisure centre is good but the booking platform that I used which is better is not so good. We booked a badminton session for 7.40 am while the centre only opens at 8.00 am on bank holidays. And there was another slot at 7.00 am which …
I use the centre for swimming at the weekends. Lovely pool but they really need to sort out their bookings. Some people come here to sit and stand at one end of the pool to have social chats, getting in everyone’s way and taking up space …
Wasn’t very impressed by the ice rink today, I came towards the end of the day and the ice was almost impossible to skate on as it was so dirty! Should be cleaned more frequently
pleased with swimming pool unfortunately waited 15 minutes no one on reception rang bell six times
I visit for the ice rink as this is my home turf when it comes to the ice. I can’t vouch for the other facilities as I have not experienced them myself. But they seem to hold a good standard from other people’s experiances. The only thing …
Having not been ice-skating for many years, it was nostalgic to go with one of my children; my daughter hadn’t been for years either. …
Streatham Leisure Centre which reopened in 2013 has an amazing 60 by 30 metre ice rink, 25 metre pool, gym and studios and offer all sorts of fitness classes. I really like it there. It is true that it can get a bit busy late afternoon at reception but I guess once you are signed up and have your card that won’t bother you.
The ice rink aspect is great, it’s big and modern and watching ice hockey games is tremendous fun, highly recommended.
I’ve been putting off reviewing the gym for ages though, hoping it would be …
Really clean and tidy. Only thing was no where to get hot drink when watching ice hockey games.
Only used gym as down visiting but impressed by the facility
Great fun. Staff are super helpful.
The quality of the ice rink facility is good – nice and modern – however the hire out ice skates were a misunderstanding! I was given blunt ice skates which had no grip on the ice, and when I asked the guy at the rental desk if he can give …
The gym facility is really dirty. I went there a few times and every time was the same.
* The floor looks like it was never cleaned especially next to all machines …
Great rink. Amazing hockey team. Always worth paying. Bar near the ice. Amazing atmosphere.
Great ice rink, car park machines out of service when I tried to pay
Swim for ALL – With a few caveats…
Booked swim for all at 12:20.
As opposed to swim for fitness, which I assume is for more serious swimmers. …
Last time I visited thete was no hot water and the previous time they cancelled my swimming.
One of the only places in the uk to watch or play ice hockey. However Rental skates here were very knackered and made my feet hurt
Nice pool. Didn’t skate. Toilets & changing good.
Went here for a birthday party. It was great they sectioned a portion of the rink off while a coach taught them a few basic techniques for those who hadn’t been on the ice before. Party room was basic but ok. It had a sink and microwave if needed.
Disappointing to report that the venue appears to have undergone some changes, not, in my opinion, for the better. …
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Ice is maintained fairly well. Hire skates are not great… sometimes blunt sometimes OK – They don’t get them sharpened regularly enough.
Not usually late since starting my little one there to learning to swim, the one time we were 2 mins late, the manager denied entry to my little one, she was very rude and cold with her response , my little one was crying at the thought of …
It’s cheap to go, bought the ice ticket for public and it’s really nice there
Do not book swim lessons here! They are a complete waste of money
– The classes do not progress with swim skills. There is absolutely no …
I am a member of the gym since 6 years. The place was done up before Covid with new equipment and a separate HIT studio
I gave it only 3 stars as there are some issues . …
Had a great time. Parked in the massive supermarket next door. Kids had an hour on the ice (initially fairly empty and then became quite crowded but still safe). At the end did a quick shop and went home. All good.
Rude girl on the phone. I had to wait 13 minutes to get through. Not many businesses would keep you waiting that long. She didn’t like it when I made a quip about the phone being extremely far away from her. I was calling about parking …
Very poor experience just trying to get the correct information. Online information isn’t very clear. So I tried to call the Ice rink and because it is now part of a leisure centre I was transferred to a central call centre. Having been on …
