I can’t express my confusion when this shop was referred to me to buy a Barbeque. Due to the similarity in both the name of the product I wanted and the shop itself, it took a good 15 minutes for the point to sink in. …
Honestly had the WORST experience with this place. AVOID buying anything big like a kitchen or a bathroom as they just mess everything up and you end up out of pocket & without the items you think you have purchased. Never again will I shop at B&Q, particularly Harlow.
I think B&Q’s actually got better the staff are extremely helpful and they’ve made some nice improvements in there it’s definitely a shed worth of visit
Daniel is absolutely fantastic, deigned my kitchen knowing I’m on a budget, he was super helpful and very patient with me when I couldn’t decide on door handles lol he came up with exactly what I had pictured in my head, he does his job but …
Small store, not great selection of goods. Alarm tags on products with staff hard to find to get to the alarmed items. Went to a different store out of frustration
Purchase a kitchen. No fixings. Got sent the wrong pieces. Wrong sizes. Now I can’t get through to them on the phone. 0 out of 10. Never use these people to buy a kitchen. Very unhappy customer
Nice and easy trip during the Corona! Staff seemed a bit clueless however they were attentive and did try their best to help, and as usual good service and good quality paint in B&Q. I’ll give a 5 star!
I had an excellent experience in store today. Being very untechnical I needed help with ordering and pricing room dividers. Hussain was extremely helpful and patient with me also suggesting other options. The staff gave me a seat as I had a bad leg it was an all round positive experience.
I have visited several B&Q stores but the Harlow staff give the best customer service by a long shot. Nothing is too much trouble even when the store is busy.
The whole team is friendly , helpful and informed. They have excellent product …
Do not come here if you need pluming. I have waited for more then 10 minutes for someone to advise me and left. Go to City plumbing just behind the b&q.
Great selection of building supplies and tools. Satisfied.
Ordered on click and collect. Didn’t have to wait long till text received to collect it. Had to queue for a shirt time to get into store. Well organised and efficient. A lovely guy named Nick went to collect our item. He was so polite and very quick. Great service and my bun storage cupboard is fab 👏🏼 …
After being sent on a wild goose chase and from shop to shop we finally came across customer service lady Bex at the paint station in Harlow who could see we had been given the run around and went out of her way to accommodate us. I can not …
Very good service and so helpful got just want i was looking for
Average sized B&Q store. Good selection of products but some products are considerably more expensive than at some of the discounters. Staff seemed friendly, though didn’t have the paint I was looking for at a reasonable price.
I use this store alot ,but to be totally honest it is not the best ,on the other hand it is so much better value than wickes. This store has one major flaw , the staff ? There never seems to be any one girl on the checkout is …
This is a well stocked shop and we found everything we needed, however, the retail staff there were rude, we queued for ages to pay for 3 items even though there were 3 tills open and a customer service desk open and only 6 customers …
A medium sized b&q with ample parking. Generally, very helpful staff.
My only problem was that the item I wanted had not been re stocked on the shelves and the stock was 3m up within the bay…
First time I have experienced this issue at this store.
I went into this B&Q to buy some paint, some white spirit and a polythene dust sheet. Surprisingly for B&Q I managed to find everything easily and the stock levels were good. The store was almost empty but that was probably because I …
I’m giving a 5 Star rating too “Jake” who served me today..Mixing the paint l wanted.
He’s very efficiant at his job with a likable personality..!!
I’ve always had a good shopping experience here. Usually got exactly what I need for home DIY projects. My only gripe is not with B&Q, but the awful car park and the time it takes to get out of it. Harlow council need to sort that bit out.
Big enough store but not their biggest so does not stock everything you can think of however got the essentials and more. Staff are friendly and helpful, good parking straight outside entrance.
Parking bit of a nightmare do not park outside b&q if you want to get out because the McDonald’s queue goes all the way around park on the middle bit and it’s easier to get out so one way system round
We visited there for two things, we found only one. Staff was completely unable to guide us and advise on the second thing we were looking to purchase. Finally we talked with a manager that advised we should visit a larger B&Q store since …
I’ve been doing some DIY and they have the stuff I need at a good price.
Couldn’t have got more help or advice from the kitchen designer . She took her time to explain everything and helped change our design to meet our needs. She listened to what we wanted not like other kitchen suppliers.
Another really good result in B&Q today. Was a little worried it was going to be a wasted journey, but the parking was good, managed to get what i needed no problem..and didn’t have to wait to be served! Good times!!👍 …
Lovely staff in this store. Good product availability
Amazing service from Will! Got the paint I needed to do up my daughter bedroom!! Give him a raise!
Big store, nice and tidy but didn’t have the type of compost I wanted
It’s not too bad. Enough car parking space. 2 hr limit. Pretty much all the things you would expect from a B&B store. The staff have always been friendly.
well organised with plenty of staff to help, all masked up. signs for 2 metre distancing and floor spacing. large store with a busy car park.
Not too busy inside. Pleasant place to shop was after 6pm so no queues to get in. Got what I needed and out in about 5 minutes would definitely shop there again.
Visited Harlow branch of B&Q today about 3pm. I bought compost and bark and 3plants.Before I entered a member of staff offered and pulled out the bigger trolly which was stiff to get out. Inside a young man lifted the bark and compost onto …
I was looking to buy a cordless Mountfield mower but only petrol ones on sale
So another sale lost
Store manager (Ian got his name off his name badge recently) is a very rude person the way he treats his staff is disgusting witnessed him more than once in the past few weeks acting all high and mighty need to get him gone and maybe the staff will be happier to go to work
Found almost everything. Just didnt like the gu on bathroom, he is useless after asking him about anything he advise me to go and buy online so what is he doing over there? Anyway apart from that a very nice place.
Poorly stocked. Staff lack enthusiasm. Taking our collection reference number and bringing our order out was too much effort!
Click and collect item ordered, arrived and the item wasn’t in stock. Staff helpful and apologetic. Always call and check stock actually exists before your journey.
Click and collect works well, and with a smile
Very disappointing customer service!!! They don’t have basic knowledge of what they are selling in store! They’re absolutely pointless, unskilled, rude and they are spending more time on mobiles texting and talking to colleagues at work!!! …
Thank you to Jamie for all her help on getting the parts for the lay-z spa dome which were missing in the original box and sorting it fast, great job
Can easily find what you’re looking for for a reasonable price. All you really need to reach 5 stars is get some air conditioning, on warm days you can’t spend more than 10 minutes in there.
Bought some paint etc. Most people social distancing, mask wearing strictly encouraged. Store quite busy but fast check out.
Good range of stock. Staff are helpful. Parking there is not good as there is always a big queue for McDonald’s.
1 person an the till and she wasnt even awake by the look of it,ive seen grass grow quicker than she moved!
Great team working in there very helpful and friendly always seems to have a good stock keep up the good work guy’s
Not so great the store was so dirty and all the till staff seemed to disappear at the same time. One young man was left on his own with quite a long queue and no till roll.
Queues at tills, no staff to ask for advice, woman on till was abrupt, loud and rude! So went homebase instead, much better service!
Great place to shop but one till opened and about 12 people waiting to be seen and I was at he back wasnt till I got to the till and they opened another till other than that great store
Drove 20 miles to purchase an item that showed online being in stock to find they didn’t have any. Very frustrating.
extremely poor service and conflicting answers, to be told “tuff you cant have 2 copies of the receipt out there” by the manager when i requested a copy of a receipt only to be told by there head office not a problem is unacceptable and …
Extra special thanks to Nikki, and thanks to Geoff. Nothing was to difficult for her to sort out (not that there was too much). A quality kitchen was designed and delivered by the Harlow team.
To put it briefly: the range is pretty fantastic, you can find pretty much anything for DIY. However, the prices are just about at a point where it makes you do a double take.
I always regret using this particular branch of B&Q they never seem to carry what I need. Also the car park is always clogged with people too lazy to walk in to McDonalds
Just want to thank staff member Anna who was most helpful. She definitely went the xtra mile. A credit to your store. Thank you 😊 …
Although aisles are clearly marked, it is not simple to find the little bits you might need.. The person I need to talk to was on a lunchbreak t 11.30, so I went across the road to wickes
Never any staff on the tills whether this is during the week or weekends, resulting in long queue at the one checkout being manned.
Used their click and collect service so was in and out promptly. Had to queue to get in due to covid restrictions but that is to be expected
Needed some cabinets handles.. found the location in the shop, however its not been sorted out in the boxes re handles. Spent 20 minutes going through each box. Not organized….. left disappointed 😞 …
Please stock up little items more frequently. Make you wash your hands with sanitizer before entry. Everyone wore mask.
Long Q to get out- not enough staff to man the tills- only one till open. After waiting about 4 minutes – a request for another til was put out. After 10 minutes in a Q i eventually got out!
Very polite I asked what’s the best way to get rid of a body they recommended some of their own brand B&Q rubble bags and some useful cleaning chemicals 👍 10/10 …
Never enough staff to help you here anymore their customer service is zilch compared to Homedepot USA which they based it on! Really disappointed how it looks inside
A large home and garden supplier. From paint, timber, tools, plants, landscaping, fencing and protective clothing. Well laid out ,plenty of check outs and friendly, helpful staff.🦜 …
Void this store!!! Customer service very rude! Too busy to deal with customers because they chatting with other colleagues. Unskilled, 0 knowledge just pointless!!!
The hygiene was well organised and the shelves were well stocked. The plants were all healthy and well watered.
Normal stock for a large B&Q. Reasonable priced.
Never enough staff on the tills only seems to be 1 checkout open . Very annoying if your in a hurry .
The staff themselves are helpful and polite just not enough of them .b&q could be better.
Not fit for plasterers really. For one, the exit is a tight squeeze for a few 8×4 plasterboards and good luck finding a plasterboard trolley to use
Generally good, well organised and helpful staff, just rarely enough tills open. Please get the toilets open!
I would give it 0 stars if that was an option..B & Q management ceriasly have to rethink how they train there staff.. and what is expected from them. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone!!!
It’s a bit small, the one way system was confusing, too many customers not wearing masks, and social distancing was difficult.
Girl at door on entry very helpful, also gave me face mask.as mine had torn.
Like B&Q generally but this branch nightmare low stocks worst of all no trollies cant carry 15 plasterboard and timber without so lost sales went across road to wickes
I went into the b and w to get couple things for my bathroom and I approach one of the staff member called kelly sibley who was a star and helped me out pick out the best parts, much thanks to kelly best staff ever
Well stocked considering country wide shortages, very friendly staff at checkout and most helpful
Not very busy. Well stocked. Need to open more checkout counters.
Till staff really helpful but not all shop floor workers
