What a great pub. Very traditional- cosy, relaxed and we were made to feel very welcome. Some of the best pub food. A great selection of choices with vegetarian and vegan options. Excellent value for money a real gem in the heart of Westminster. Highly recommend the vegan cheese bake, steak and ale pie and sticky toffee pudding!

“The best chips and peas I’ve ever had!” said my husband! I REALLY enjoyed the turkey meatballs with the Cranberry Gravy and the cheese sauce that came with the soft German pretzel! A great place to relax with lunch and a bevvy!

Popped in for dinner in a British pub. Had the Banger and Mash with a side of chips. The food was really good, the atmosphere was warm and comfortable, and the staff was really kind, welcoming, and attentive. I would recommend stopping in.

Great pub, in the true style of a London pub. Can get very busy, especially after work. Some great ales and lovely pub grub served here. Very enjoyable.

Nice pub with original features and olde worlds feel but not dark and small. Food was nice and well presented. Staff helpful. In summer has a large beer garden so will be giving it a visit when it gets warmer.

Visited here for some post-work beers. Great pub with a great atmosphere and decent sized beer garden. It has a nice, cozy ‘local’ feel despite being in the city.

Came in on good Friday 2023 for lunch but staff were streched thin, run ragged and visibly stressed to the point they stopped taking orders. We left and ate around the corner instead. Greene King should take note to help their pubs plan ahead.

Worst pub in London. Dirty and stinky inside. Warm beer. Toilets are not cleaned. Rude staff and also terrible slow service. The worst Green King pub I’ve been to.

Nice spacious wee pub. Comfortable and in a nice street setting. Perhaps lacking in some of the quirks or history of other pubs in the area but serves its purpose well. Wide selection of real ales, craft beers and gins. My pint of Greene King IPA was well poured and tasty. Would visit again.

Great pub and ambiance – I love to come here. However peeking behind the curtain you can feel the pressure from management on the staff and it’s not pleasant for anyone. It’d be nice to see that change.

I am very well versed in the pubs of Westminster and Victoria, and tbh they’re all a bit meh, but will never have a problem getting people in so don’t have to try hard. This place isn’t any cheaper than those nearby, but unusually for this part of town does have a beer garden – of the concrete variety.

Went in on Thursday evening. Two pumps weren’t in use and there was a table of really drunk loud lads at a table who the staff had to speak to. Not a pub I would regularly drink in.

Haven’t been here for about 20 years and remembered why when I tried to get served. It took so long that I left the bar to return to my friends for 10 minutes before venturing back again. Not sure if the bar staff were slow or if it was because of the cocktails they offer which take longer to prepare. Won’t rush back.

Decent little pub tucked away in St James. Very traditional London pub – on the small side with a unique layout. Small rear area for outside drinks. Drinks are a expensive compared to other options in the area but if you want to have a quiet, uninterrupted drink this is the place.
