Write a ReviewAbsolutely dreadful. It’s one of the few DIY type shops in London which is a shame cos there’s never any staff around, it takes ages to get anything, and the staff aren’t very knowledgeable. The staff also are always like sixteen years old for some reason 🙁
I like coming to this store but do not always make a purchase because I think many items are not competitively priced. They offer an array of products from DIY goods, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, garden plants and accessories and more. Set up over two floors and easy to navigate through. Great place to get ideas.
If we could leave a 0 star review unfortunately we would. We got our paint mixed by one of the managers and he mixed it wrong, mistakes happen however his attitude was awful, no apology and accused us of being liars when we had hard …
This place is could be so much better but few things let it down.
Firstly, interaction with staff can be hit or miss. Staff are either happy to …
Came here to get some houseplants but was pretty much all half price and dead so didnt end up buying any but when exiting security shouted at me to come back as if i did something because i left without a purchase asked to see my bag so i …
I have been a regular customer at Homebase for quite some time, but I must express my disappointment with their stock management, particularly when it comes to placing online orders for in-store collection. On several occasions, I have …
Homebase harringay is in a very central location. As it has a free parking for 2 hours, you have the chance to see every department in the store. They have a wide range of products for home decoration. The garden section contains lots of …
Excellent store for home projects and a well stocked garden centre. Good customer service.
Very rude unhelpful staff. Very shortstagfed with no knowledge of the store products. Will never shop here again or any other homebase due to terrible experience at haringey branch from management. Will upload video of how they really treat customers. Absolutely shocking
Well last day was there don’t. Like it becouse me vendieron un calentador sin probarlo que funcionaba y AND THEY DID NOT WANT TO SELL ME THE ONE I ALREADY HAD SEEN; AND THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE FROM La STORE, when they are really to sell them:
It’s such a nice place but it’s not always easy to find what we’re looking for. I always need useful advice but it is difficult to find the salesman around the shop and when you do find him most of the time he doesn’t even know if and where to find the articles. He sends you a little here and a little there 😂. …
They usually have what you need, but it feels understaffed & it’s difficult to get decent service.
Also it’s totally bizarre that the entrance and exits are back to front.
Horrific experience. Do not get your paint mixed here. Paint was recently mixed wrong and when asked to rectify the mistakes the staff were rude beyond compare. Don’t waste your time.
That was the most dissatisfied experience ever.In this store people don’t know anything
I want to buy some lights and furniture.Ow that was impossible the staff is …
Waste of space, full of tat. Head to Wickes or B&Q. Honestly, this place is just full of random shelf fillers, if you genuinely need a tool, product for home this isn’t the place.
Advertised 95 christmas trees in stock drove for 1 hour to get one and ther response was they have been delivered yet there still at the warehouse bare in mind i called them 13 times trying to chesk for sure they had them on the website it saod 95 in stock absolute joke
Disorganised. This the second time I’ve driven specifically to this Homebase after the website has shown an item is in stock. Only to discover when I arrive that it is not. This time was particularly rubbish as apparently the bathroom …
They had run out of coal… but duty manager gave me an unsaleable open pack – their only one. Very grateful, thank you
Awful customer service is the least we can say. We ordered our new kitchen from Homebase back in January 2021. We finally received this in May 2021 with more than 1 month delay from what was originally promised but that was the least of the …
Very poor service these days. I have been trying to get paint from the Dulux paint mixing service – it was unavailable on Saturday despite being advertised as a service, with a very rude and officious manager who answered my enquiry. When …
Extremely rude lady at the collection point.
She had a very bad attitude towards the costumers.
Crazy how a person like that works as a cashier.
You can’t go wrong this Homebase. They always have products and the staffs are always helpful. Products are always available and there’s always an alternative option when it’s out of stock.
Bought a planter for over £30 and was basically made of plywood and was actually broken also, but I couldn’t be bothered to return and fixed and glued it myself and had to put brackets on as wouldn’t have survived the winter. I would make my own from now on. Staff pleasant enough
Absolutely terribly managed. The shelves are in chaos so I decided to click and collect. It was meant to be ready in an hour, but I went in the next day just to be sure. …
It’s enough big store to find some materials and kitchen units. Unfortunately items as garden sheds they don’t keep stocks, it’s only available to order online.
Homebase is always amazing, but most of Christmas Items is gone , there is still amazing prices on real Trees! 😀 …
Is one best store than there in harringay street lane or at least again don’t like becouse want heater and someon told me no is it for wat bought when there too much and then no working the heater bought.
I was a bit disappointed to go all the way there to find an item displayed on their website as in stock, couldn’t be found 🙁.
It took ages to get there – over an hour and 40 mins (one way by public transport). …
All other Homebase’s usually allow dogs and they have a no dog policy for no reason, or at least they said it’s managements discretion and when we asked they just didn’t want to tell us, we have a small one and came all the way not to be let in. A real shame
The prices are reasonable, and they have a decent amount of stock and variety. However, there’s is always a looong wait at the checkout. …
I got what I wanted and the staff were very friendly and helpful .
I went for bonsai tree, Jo selections, just 3 unhealthy bonsai at the price of 18 £. Customers care, anonymously present.
Rude unhelpful staff who are patronising and verbally abusive when you ask for help. The woman in particular was the worst. Told me she didnt know where the items I wanted were despite not knowing what I was looking for. Refused to give her name so I could complain about her. Be careful shoppers. She seems eager for a physical fight.
Shelves are largely bare and lots of things you’d expect to find just aren’t in stock. What is in stock is frequently security tagged so you can’t remove it from the shelf (often including items selling for less than £8!), and very …
This review is based on going here twice a week for 6 months. Honestly do not waste your time at this Homebase. I am a professional painter and decorator and all tradesman have stopped going here for even the basic supplies. It’s so bad. …
Absolutely understaffed and with poor customer service. Impossible to get a quote for a kitchen, let alone buy anything. We had a video call for the kitchen after following up with them many times on the phone, and then the person in charge …
Not much staff around to help, but has a lot of stock
Not a bad place to shop and the staff are very helpful. Good value for money
Ordered items for collection (in stock) and called 2 days later to say they weren’t available. …
Great homebase, large and has most of what you need. Not many staff helping around the store though.
Really good choice on all DIY needs, we needed a really rare drill bit, the assistant helped us find the area but then couldn’t find the bit we needed. He then went out back and handed us the but for free. Would go again
Enjoyed browsing around and found what I was looking for. Very friendly staff
I can give it 0 .
Customer service soo bad all workers rude they made me cry by saying that I asked them questions about product I was trying to buy .I ask why they being rude …
Great place for gardening and lots of beautiful furniture. Definitely worth it!
In the last few years( 2016) , since the sell off to the Australian company, which failed, it hasn’t quite got back to where it used to be before . Deals used to be very good, tills were always manned, now your lucky to have one person on …
Great, I love popping in to see what lovely flowers they have especially when they are discounted. Always a good experience.
No staff to help find products, and in garden section I had to ask customer for help, who kindly assisted. Long queue 1 person serving, asked for another tell to be open for people that were behind me as elderly people also in queue said no …
The staff in this homebase store could not care any less, literally zero customer service and rude staff. I was queuing for a long time with only one check out open then when it was my turn I was told they are closing the checkout and had …
Had an absolute pleasure dealing with the person in charge of paint mixing – he went an extra mile to match a very vague colour, without sparing detail on how paint mixing works, how to match a colour and what to look out for in this …
There is a generous section of the shop given up to gardening plants and flowers.
There is a good diy section but it took a long time to find staff available to help us. The staff is helpful but their knowledge is limited.
We ordered an air conditioner off the website – it was in stock. In an hours time got a call from the shop that they don’t have it! Then ordered another one – also in stock. I’m also – a call an hour later “we don’t have them in stock, it was a mistake”. Lost time and now waiting for a large refund.
The absolute worst customer experience I have ever had the misfortune to experience. A ghastly manager was very demeaning and outright rude. I will never go back again.
Very rude staff at the Haringey branch. Especially the man that goes by the name of Prince (was on a personal call whislt on the shop floor) didn’t want to acknowledge me. He was very rude to me and my wife on two separate occasions. The …
Might awell be a self service shop hard to find staff.
Large DIY store although it can be hard to find items or help and the checkouts can be a little chaotic. But there is parking and a click and collect option.
Ordered 12 pieces of trellis off their website only to be rung up on the day I am meant to collect them for a job that they don’t have any in stock – when I asked why the website is not updated the manager told me that people steal from …
I found pretty useful things to organize my space.
Mostly whatever you need for home basic DIY job but quite poor staffed
Sorry, someone from the store literally called me around 1825 Tuesday 5 July to tell me he sourced my missing fixings for my Freya sofa bed, just wanted to say a huge thank you for your help whoever you are, didn’t expect anyone to call back!! Store manager PLEASE READ THIS :))
Relaxing, great atmosphere and easy to find the items
Few online issues put right without hassle in store
That was the worst shopping experience I ever had. Staff nowhere to be seen, when someone from the staff arrived I was informed that they can’t help me with any information about the products as they have other things to do. Shop dirty and rundown. Shocking. Don’t go there, waste of time.
It was well stocked
It’s got everything that you need
I’m going to be honest, this has to be the worse run homebase I have ever encountered. Short staffed is an understatement. Tons of misplaced products with wrong prices, untidy, low stock, awful customer service, in polite staff as they are overwork. A classic example of a badly run business.
No bedding that actually matched. Needs more stock of items
Really nice shop! I went to buy some stuff to do gardening in my house and it was helpful I found everything I needed in just 20 minutes I was looking for.
Here you can really get everything you need for the house, tools, garden things, living room, bathroom design, and the products are at a good price, I like them.
Most of the items are priced fairly, the staff are pretty clueless about specifics though, yet the store has a vast range of furniture and plants, paint exc… The experience here was good for the most part.
Great attention to detail and customer needs.
Good choice of decorating&building staples in a such central location.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They are collective slow and have intuition to help. I placed an order for collection they cancelled order with no explanation. Ordered again a few days later as I thought it was a stock …
I visit this Homebase quite regularly to buy plants. They have a lot of discounted plants which are definitely worth buying. Pretty satisfied every time I visit the garden section, always leave with something. Staff are friendly and helpful, no issues at all.
Nice place. Site on a multi store complex.
Easy parking and places to eat. Found the range of their bathstore very small for choice.
Great place to buy cheap goods
I have used the click and collect facility many times. Items ready and waiting usually within an hour. Friendly staff, plenty of free parking right outside the store. Super convenient – highly recommended! 🙏🏻👍🏻 …
I’m only leaving one star because I’m not allowed to leave 0 stars. I came here today for a simple gas refill service. After being told by the customer services lady that my bottle is coming I sat and waited for 10 minutes. When I asked her …
I bought 2 x 3 cube storage with legs after quite a long wait for stock to come in. I’m 72 with arthritic hands and was able to put this together singlehanded. Very pleased with it. Looks great with coloured boxes and gives great …
Not often I go to Homebase but they always have good deals on wall & floor tiles better than B&Q and Wickes
Manager of this store was extremely rude when they clearly made a mistake with my online order. I used to love going there, until this incident happen a couple of weeks ago. The thing is they would not even acknowledge that the mistake was …
Not a great deal of products a lot of plants
Great for DIY enthusiastics, also not to bad for tradesmen, but mainly caters for the homemakers amongst you.
A barren place where you could hear a pin drop! Loads of stock and it’s well laid out but the place is deserted and you can hardly find any staff. You need to go through a maze to get out! They have some nice plants in the outside area and …
Perfect store for houseplants and DIY projects. Great location with spacious outdoor parking area. There is a garden at the back of the store and you can find many different types of products in there. Great prices for multi buys.
Got some great cons – lots of space, so can walk easily in isles. Lots of signs so it’s easy to navigate and find what your looking for. The team are friendly and helpful. It needs a refurb – it looks dated and tired. Things like there are …
We came here just to buy a plastic plant pot and left with new plants and other ceramic pots. Homebase is massive and pretty cool to get anything you need for the house, from gardening to painting, decorating, flooring or storage. Prices are also really good.
Staff are normally very helpful and friendly. However today there was a rude of member of staff I’m guessing new. For the first time was put off using this store. Terrible attitude. Customer service and a smile goes along way!
Unbelievably bad. Waited in the queue, one person in front, many behind. After 10 mins. of no one serving, i kicked up a fuss until someone finally decided to serve the customers. It’s no wonder this company is going down the pan. You …
Plants section is the best part of this store hardware and the like is lightweight homeowner type things which I guess you would expect but beware if you buy something there are a lot of thieves around most of the packages have been opened …
I went to get some paint from Homebase Finchley Road. Young lady called Margret served me.
I write to appreciate the outstanding service from Margret. …
For such a large space they have a surprisingly small range. Forget about services like key cutting — there’s not enough staff to keep even one checkout reliably running, so anything that requires staff attention is a total loss going in. …
Just popped over to get some decorating materials
Quite a large selection of DIY and their paint section is quite good
Car parking free for up to one hour get your parking ticket stamped over at the …
I will give it a 3 because it’s a strange set up. If you drive in you stop at a barrier and press a button to get a permit which I thought was a bit weird because there are literally like 4 businesses, so I parked had a look around …
Number one for houseplants in the local area. Beautiful plants. Did I mention the outdoor plants. Best in the local area & at great prices and multi buys
Great store with most of the common things you might need at home. Not much staff though so could be tricky to find things.
It was very nice. I bought exactly what I’d like. Gazania I like it very much.
Totally deserted with employees that do not care. I wanted to buy flowers and did not have any cash on me to get a trolley. One of the employees in a totally apathetic way told me that it was not her problem how I could get one. …
PURE INSANITY AT THIS STORE. EVERY SINGLE CLICK AND COLLECT ORDER MESSED UP. TOLD THINGS REFUNDED WHEN THEY HAVEN’T BEEN. ITEM SOLD FROM MY ORDER WHILE IT AWAITING COLLECTION, WRONG ITEMS GIVEN. NIGHTMARE STRESS OF RETURNING TO STORE AND/OR …
Decent place for DIY bits and pieces
Good selection available
You can even take dogs along …
A great shop with lots of stock at good prices. However there didn’t seem to be nearly enough staff to cover all the customers needs. We were helped by Krishna, who was great, and you could see they were all trying their best, but …
We purchased an expensive kitchen through Homebase. It ended up being a disaster. Multiple agreed configurations were wrong after the long wait, simple calculations like the adequate worktop size were wrong, we were not advised on …
This is the best plants provider for my garden so far!! Inside, there’s a larger open door space with hundreds of plants. The prices are higher than what I expected. Most of the objects are cheaper elsewhere.
Seemed short staffed. Dealt with about 4 employees and only one seemed knowledgeable to trust. Many items out of stock. Got over charged for a item and after 7 attempts (still haven’t gotten thru) can’t get off hold to speak to an employee about this. Will never go back. Definitely the worst hardware store I’ve ever been to
Great selection of products but always incredibly understaffed. I don’t really know how this place runs at all. There is only ever one cashier and yet there are 8 tills. Also never anyone in the shop floor for assistance
Friendly and supportive staff despite gettimg there at closing time for an Online Order Pickup. There is free parking for up to 1 Hour which doesn’t require ticket validation at the store.
I went to the store today, with a very bored 5 year old, to get some paint samples for my flat that I’m about to paint. I had no real idea what I wanted (I totally thought I’d just know when I got there) and I was helped by a very lovely …
Hi
I have been Home Base customer (Finchley road)for more than 15 years
I never had any issue I have to say the other manager was so helpful polite and …

I love shopping at this place ,especially buying flowers and plants for my home .
Of you buy click and collect when you go to pick up your product is broke or something missing
I bought some tiles and the package have to have 15 tiles and when I ope the package have 14 and 4 or 5 broken all packages
Excellent customer service from Bindu at the Finchley branch .

Extremely helpful, attentive staff; four dealing with my purchases at different points and all brilliant. Solid range of outdoor plants, really decent prices. Never usually the kind of thing I’d think about let alone bother to review, but …
This time we went to buy plants and Teresa was super friendly and extremely helpful at the garden centre. She knew the answer straight away to all of our questions and helped us to find the right plants to our new garden. Staff is always helpful and friendly, there are good offers whenever we visit the store. Thumbs up!
Great service! I wish it could have more assortment, but the help of the staff is outstanding!
Had what I needed, and staff are friendly and helpful.
If you’re buying timber, be aware, they don’t cut anymore.
The worst store, absolutely horrible.
When ever I come in this store they never have anything I need. So elementary things like screw appropriate or hinges or mdf Green. …
I would just like to say FAB staff, always friendly and smiling, even at end of day!
Everyone is friendly and helpful, one of the reasons l think this particular …
Homebase is a CRIMINAL organisation! Stealing money from customers that have returned their product! …
I arrived and my product was not in the store. They said that in 3 days it would be on my account. Today is the 5th day… I sent an email before this one and nothing is resolved… I try to call the costume service, the phone is …
Love this shop for what it offers. During lockdown they were so good in keeping the store open by respecting social distancing and keep everything tidy and organized. I visit mostly for plants and flowers, they have quite a big garden at …
Good hardware store. Comes in handy when you need lights etc for your home.
Friendly staff especially the Manager. He doesn’t know me but I have seen with my own eyes…He literally greets everyone with eye contact when he sees them around the store. He always remembers me. Something that is rare these days.
Not really impressed with The Manager or Staff at this Store. I had a problem with a product & it was only after I contacted Head Office that something was done. I went back to The Shop & felt that I was an inconvenience in returning a faulty product.!
Order my purchase online on 26/5/21 to pick my delivery of choice which was 2/6/21. Taken a day of work which sofa never turned up and I had to call and chase ever since. Customer services are useless, 3 days later I’m no better off!!! Dont …
This store is the worst. The staff don’t care less. If you can go elsewhere, then you should
Terrible customer service. Super unhelpful. Especially the supervisor! Bought a mop 1 month ago. After 1 wash in washing machine completely fell apart. They wouldn’t have replacement nor would they exchange for a new one. Didn’t have a …
I strongly suggest to not use the click+collect service.
I am very disappointed with the service at Home-base. The staff were polite and friendly but it seems that homebase has a massive issue with their ordering …
I went there from North Finchley for BBQ Fervor 2.1 Range cover. After arrived home I found the inside product was not right although the outside package showed it for Fervor 2.1. I went back to exchange for correct product. Since it …
Well laid out store. Pricing could be better displayed. But there was a member of staff always an aisle away to help. I was approached by a gentleman named Shah. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I walked in with a £30 gift card and left …
Sadly, been trying to get a Refund for four months from this store. They will not answer the phone and their Customer Service Team are no use, as they keep say that they will get the Store to phone me. Which they haven’t done in the four …
Shocking customer service ethic: went to purchase a replacement BBQ gas cannister, only to be brusquely told they ‘no longer stock that type.’ Odd, given that three in stock were showing on their website only 30 minutes earlier. Reluctantly …
The staff member I approached for plastic flower pots didn’t understand what I was looking for. The things I eventually found were in three different sections although they all related to indoor plants and the store had no potting soil. …
Love this homebase as close to home always plenty of reduced items I love a bargain
Just returned from a trip, can’t speak highly enough of the staff. I called earlier in the day as I couldn’t check stock online. Even in these challenging times phone was answered in 4 rings, and the chap who answered was extremely helpful, …
I get super excited when I go to a DIY superstore and this place is a super store.
Fantastic shopping and customer experience – I came to buy a large fan and there were loads available on display (despite it being one of the hottest days of the year) and you can park directly outside the entrance so it’s super convenient. …
Staff are reasonably friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I went to get some clearance items that showed 8 in stock but only 2 on the shelves. Reluctant staff didn’t want to make even a little effort to check in the back quickly but oh well. …
Great selection if you need any home repair items. There are multiple types, brand, and sizes of anything you could need. Staff is helpful, but unfortunately the tills take a long time to get through. Each time I’ve visited the till wait time has been more than 5 minutes. Otherwise great.
A common problem for me at this branch and most other Homebase locationsis that there are so few people serving at the tills. Lots of stock, great prices, enough staff in store to answer questions, but in a huge shop only one till open.
Time wasters. I phoned the Finchley Rd store to ask if they had an item in stock. After a long useless message a robot asked me to stay on the line, 10 minutes of bad music followed, then the line cut off. Shame on this useless company.
They have a decent selection of everything (particularly plants and garden) but even on a slow day it was impossible to find anyone to assist you. They also don’t have a very good delivery service. It’s fairly rigid in scope and they charge £20. It served its purpose but compared to other stores, it’s not a great experience.
Don’t bother to phone for any query…it will ring for 5-10 minutes then they cut you off…every time! Won’t be shopping there again any time soon..rubbish service! 😤 …
Generally good. I went there to buy a specific cut size furniture board. However their board cutter is not working. So I went there to get nothing. I suggest calling them first before visit to make sure they have exactly what u need. Same …
Member of staff Chris helped by measuring and carrying heavy wood for me when their wood cutter was broken. They let me cut the wood out front which was appreciated because I urgently needed it. Thanks so much
I had a great experience here, there are lots of good quality plants. A great place for everything garden, and for your home. DIY happy place
This is my local store which ive used for the past 10 years. We normally purchase our Christmas tree here as they do stock a large range, But I was reminded yesterday why we didn’t visit often. When asking for help in this store they look …
I have waited in all day for my order. i paid £6 for delivery and i have no way of knowing if it is on its way, been delivered to wrong address or just been forgotten. It is 8pm so doubt it is coming now.
Extremely busy large store but only 2 staff available in the whole place. Fobbed off by 1 employee and the manager ignored calls from checkout desks to help because was busy having a coffee. Another employee told me this was very common for the manager to ignore waiting customers as always on coffee breaks…
I had a humiliating and awful experience on Saturday the 6th of June at 13:15pm when shopping for paint and decorations for my new home. I had a voucher given to me by my housing association with the sum worth £200! I did all my shopping …
The fact that there were no other large stores within my range of activity wasn’t the only reason I was a regular shopper there. I enjoyed going there, not only because they had so many choices of seeds, plants, composts and various …
I liked this shop. Especially the colour matching and mixing service. However, am not happy with their prices.
The staff are really great and helpful.
Wow what’s a fantastic customer services from not only several staff members especially Carmine, Mary and the Store Manager Selg . I had forgotten to collect my mix paints last week when I went it to purchase a few items. I panicked …
Had all the pebbles i needed for my plants plus a ton of things that you will have to make an effort not to buy if you like gardening and home decor. It gave me the feeling of normality in such adverse times while keeping up with all the safety measures so thumbs up
Everytime i go into a Homebase the staff make finding and buying what I need a chore. They all seem to resent working there. It’s usually too much effort to look anything up but their stock inventory is just the website so they don’t know …
Went to buy a toilet seat. In principle a good range and good prices, but most were out of stock. Staff at checkout more interested in shouting at eachother than assisting customers.
Very well stocked store. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. I wish I knew the names of those who have served me as they’ve left a lasting impression. Well done and thank you!
Great selection of garden and home decor items. Would be better if you’d have more staff available to assist with questions and queries though, took quite some time to find someone that was available to help me!
This has unfortunately been the local homebase for me for over 7 years and I’ve yet to have a positive experience when I’ve needed advice, assistance or guidance from the staff. …
This place absolutely sucks. Looked online for some sanding inserts and said the store had 16 of them but they weren’t available for delivery. Went into the store and they are nowhere to be found. Also came here around a month ago with …
Don’t waste your time calling the number, spent over 2hrs in 2 day trying call for a simple enquiry, that would save me the long useless journey like previously to Harringay store. Instead of do get through a lovely Portuguese or Brazilian …
Well stocked shelves. Garden centre is on the small side but plants were in great condition. Didn’t see many staff to help out with my questions. Under the circumstances it was one of the better stores i have visited. 👍 …
Visited this branch several times recently including today to buy bedding plants, always served with a smile. I think the lady who has served me on all occasions is Sonia, she is friendly and makes you feel welcome and usually has something funny to say. Now that’s what you call customer service! 😊 …
This is a much better store than it used to be. The fresh coat of paint on the outside has done wonders for the place. It was starting to look like nobody cared. There has also been work done on the inside. Maybe this is what has made the …
Poor customer service and non-availability of trained staff to cover departments. Wanted some stones for the garden and according to their website there were plenty in stock It was therefore a waste of our time to drive to the store only …
They have an amazing new collection of fitted kitchen furniture. The displays are really high quality and the prices are very reasonable. So much better than it used to be. They have seriously raised their game!
I have recently bought a full kitchen, appliances and wooden floor. Really fantastic experience – Dansan, who we dealt with, is unbelievably good. Expert knowledge, charming manner and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.
Decent value for money and a handy place to grab your DIY needs.. found a fab Christmas tree today
In the past Homebase has let me down badly. This time I had a super experience thanks to Nicole. She made the whole thing easy, was helpful and great customer service. Thanks for the help.
made a special trip to discover the key cutting machine is out of order. The response was a boilerplate statement. …
Good value. bought 2 things that l didn’t intend to buy, but they were on discounted prices so couldn’t miss out
There was no toilet available for public (Customer) us as if thet were not proper human beings. I had to find a corner and have a pee. Horrible to admit but where was the alternative?????????
Located in ‘Poole Retail Park’ great place to visit to get all your home improvement requirements. Also has garden Centre & car park for visters. Prices are very competitive and reasonable.
A good place to buy stuff for home. Easy to find what we need.
Did click and collect so didn’t go into the main store. To a while to serve me. Short on staff?
Good size store with lots if stock. Dog friendly too!
Wide range of products on display and staff were helpful. However, many displays are poorly stocked and the place always has that grubby feeling about it. Needs a good tidy up and more proactive approach to displaying stock.
A little bit low on a selection and stock, but who is not at this time, therefore can not take a star off them for it, especially when they have such wonderfully nice staff
What a gorgeous array of plants this place has to offer. Be careful though as the cacti section can be dangerous! A buddy of mine once tripped up into a cacti I’ll attach a photo it’s funny!
Lovely stuff, many options
Good selection of orchids and 20% off till Tuesday off all garden stuff! Really helpful chap working in the indoor plant section. I didn’t explore the rest but its a standard homebase, smaller than a b&q but a fair selection of things you may need. Lots of paint!
We find everything we need in here for our garden so happy with it
Quick visit for 1 item, store clean and accessible and staff friendly.
We visited here to buy hanging baskets .paint.an found a towel rail as well.!!
Found it had a good layout. But had to ask someone where to find things !! Maybe more signs please!! …
Like most big stores there really is not enough staff. However, I did go later In the day and the shop wasn’t busy.
I would also like to say that all the staff I met were very helpful and polite …
Cant believe that a shop of this size doesn’t have customer toilets. I have been to smaller Homebase stores where they do have loos. The staff here tell you to use the one in John Lewis,…. wonder what JL would think of that.
This place seems to have gone downhill
Went to the outside garden section, but could not move around freely as work was ‘being done’, and the sections were blocked off by the materials being used. …
Cool, spacious store
lots of stock of home items but unfortunately did not have the colour we are looking for. …
Looked for a price for timber for a project. Knew I’d need other stuff so ended up going elsewhere. Not a bad place to shop, as close to home. Quite a good garden dept, and offers around the store if you find them and they’re relavent to you
Excellent value bedding plants and a plastic, wood effect shed/man cave, plus have to give a huge shout out to the staff member who took a very long time in ensuring that we got the absolutely right information on a rather unusual painting …
Good location and well stocked shop
Perfect location, good selection of products, furniture and bath store.
Fantastic Displays and really helpful staff. Well priced.
This is a review of the staff! And what they have to work with. I have worked in my fare share of run down shops. So I feel for them in there. And No AC! how they keep smiles on is beyond me. Homebase need to really invest to bring there …
Great for outdoor furniture,BBQ etc
Popped in to grab some lawn feed. It was easy to find with a good selection from about five pounds upwards. There was only one cashier though making the queue long and customers were confused about where to queue, causing it to divide. Not …
We wanted some ceramic pots for the garden. A wonderful selection, every size, shape and colour. Well recommended.
Visited today, looks like Spring, Spring plants in abundance and every kind of compost and garden gloves in every size. Staff friendly and helpful ☺️
Only went in to look at their cushions, but ended wandering around for over 45 mins – so many ideas for my house! Also, the staff are really nice and friendly – I went to another store afterwards and it was OK, but the difference between their good customer service and Homebase’s great customer service was marked.
Staff as usual very helpful, they will help you take items to your vehicle. We’ll laid out.
my husband purchased a kitchen from Poole branch of Homebase in 2012. We needed to replace a cupboard and were informed by a helpful lady in the kitchen department that Homebase no longer stocked our style of kitchen . She said she would …
Great indoor and outdoor plants.
Good home section.
Shame the female staff are not more friendly and customer service focused on rhe tills and service desk. Very poor.
I only really go here when I’m being lazy less stuff than b and q and higher prices staff only ever on tills not realy a staff presents in the shop to ask for advice. Needs TLC to compete
The security guard was mainly distracted by his phone, so if your a shop lifter good place to go today. There was a distinct lack of nibbles and snacks available. …
Seemed a bit of ramble shambles set up. Found it really hard to shop your paint as non of it was faced up. Gave up and bought the paint from B And Q as I could not find a member of staff on a Saturday afternoon to help me. Even though your …
This store has more than you think. They also mix Dulux paint. Furniture can be a reasonable price. Staff are very helpful too. Free parking.
Branksome store is awaiting another delivery of xmas trees last week of nov20 so selection is not great at the moment. Today had a small queue to get in but was always moving. Store seemed well stocked. Staff helpful
Limited selection of homeware items but great deals on offer. Found heaps of reduced lamp shades and a bin and power points in there. …
I cannot rate Dansan Wickneswaran any higher he completely sorted my kitchen design for me he was honest about what would work and patient making sure I got the exact kitchen I wanted. Anyone needing a kitchen designed should go to him. Incredible service.
Popped in to get some paints asked three members of staff if the paints could be mixed matched on different brands in the buy one get one half price two said yes one said no! One even said the deal wasn’t on even though it’s has about 20 …
Wanted some ant repellent. There was a choice and the price was reasonable. The one I chose is called Ant Stop Bait Station. It worked very well.
Terrible shop always try to charge you twice as much as it should be then when you question it staff don’t believe you. I had to accompany the manager to see the price of a pot then when I got there she had ripped off the sticker so we …
Very expensive and lack of clear location. Suggest a it system to tell your aisle and bin. Spent ages looking for product as no staff available. Look at some USA DIY stores. You look on line and it tells you location and stock and price. Common homebase move in to the 21st century.
Dealt with David Colon whilst wanting a simple exchange as my new lawn mower was broken and just wanted to swap it with a new one and he wouldn’t exchange it unless I paid more money! I couldn’t believe it and was extremely upset. .. He was …
Small but well stocked. Garden centre has a good selection of plants and planters. Staff are friendly and helpful.
I ordered online as they had stock in store. Very helpful man at the door that told me where to collect my order. Very friendly lady at service desk where I collected my order. Couldn’t have been better customer service and signs to point you in the right direction
Looked online for some deals on kitchen tiles, and saw homebase offering a BOGOF deal. It was a no brainer, the tiles are great.
So expensive here, really I popped in to kill time mask on of course wondered around the whole store aimlessly marvelling at how expensive everything is, though there was a clearance aisle nothing there for me it was nice rummaging through …
Poor customer service from the manager on duty called Sarah. Very rude and not apologetic
We used to love coming here, but unfortunately the store seems to have gone massively downhill. We moved house at the weekend and desperately needed a small part for our washing machine. Online it said there were 5 in store, which we …
Everything u need for DIY , garden , garden furniture, painting, lighting, kitchen …all in a giant space. Staff on hand to assist in locating product and knowledgeable too. The selection of goods is enormous !. It has car parking in front of store and is wheelchair friendly.
I checked online to see if Homebase had stock of the wood I wanted but I couldn’t find it in store. I asked at the Help Desk and a male assistant went to see if he could find the particular wood, but no luck. He wasn’t really interested and …
I went to Branksome Home base about 6 weeks ago and was most grateful to a number of staff there. I asked if anyone could help me replace a blade on my lawnmower and unscrew the line feed on a strimmer, that seemed to be stuck. Zak, Jay, …
Very poor customer services. Their product broke, ruining our plug and when I complained they suggested the goods were not faulty and that it was my fault. They flat out refused to help in any way without a receipt, but who keeps a receipt …
Shocking customer service experience. As I exited their building with my trolley of paint two of my tubs rolled off spilling everywhere. Apparently this happens quite often – two customers entering said they had seen the exact same thing …
Couldn’t find what I was looking for on this visit.
We went hunting for paint. Homebase has got a lot of paint. Their own brand is good value. …
Loved it there are enough spaces to park and lock up over 40 bicycles they have over 400 car parking spaces and they are very good very cheap very polite well mannered they eager to help I’ll try and find you the best prices that’s what I …
Good range of products – homeware, gardening, lighting, DIY (paint, flooring, tools, tiles etc). However, check prices as these guys (despite deals) are not always the cheapest! The staff are friendly and the store is kept clean. There is free parking outside, with disabled spaces, and the store is fully wheelchair accessible.
One till not working .20 minutes to payfor 1 plant because wouldn’t accept barcode.pleasant staff otherwise .very poor systems.and a pretty rough looking store. Shame!
Very helpful at the desk.
But why does some of the scarifier have a 2 year guarantee and others 3 year?
I booked a kitchen design appointment. It was excellent. The designer took his time and was very patient with my indecision. At no time was I pressured and came out extremely happy with my choices.
Went here for an electric socket. Would rexommend for any one outside UK to get socket adaptor.
Kitchen nightmare… extremely poor customer service and total luck of care. Design has been changed by a member of staff, Mr David Colon took wrong measurements and then was trying to blame me for it ! Wrong and damaged parts received… …
I bought a display bbq, when i came to fit it in my car it wouldnt fit, a very nice member of staff who’s name was Andy helped take it a part until it was able to fit in my car, great service, very frendly and helped a lady in need
If you’re after a DIY store then the location may be the only positive thing about this store. Poor stock selection, expensive and totally chaotic pricing and labelling make for a frustrating visit 9 times out of 10.
Traveled a distance to pick up there 7 gray brick slips.
Didn’t buy them in the end cheap looking tile that’s nothing ike a brick slip
Not a lot of stock. Only wanted Araldite. And special type of bathroom sealant which they didn’t have. Also place is hardly labelled over the aisles so you don’t know which aisle has which kind of product a.g. paint etc.
Very disapointing whent to buy paint didrnt have much went to buy decorators chaulk they had thst but not the gun to put it in staff not helpfull at all will not use again .found a bnq and they had evrrything I needed
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Ample parking and quite a good range.
Good stock levels and I have always found what I wanted here. Staff are helpful and keen to help you. Not quite the breadth of stock the larger B&Q stores have, but it makes up for it with helpful staff.
Delivered there today and very good quick. Very welcoming back door staff wish all of them were like this
Usually messy shop, lots of kids sitting around the access corridors. But we did find what we wanted, so that is a plus. Parking is good, but then the Poole road is congested most of the day so just popping in to buy odd and sods for DIY or home is not really attractive.
