Write a ReviewI’ve really enjoyed my weekend stay in Kingston hospital. The staff are very nice and helpful, the food is not too bad as well. The morphine is amazing (Especially on the IV). I’d break my collarbone again to enjoy the luxury treatment. Thanks again NHS 🙂
Two stars because I was seen to within 3 hours, which is pretty good timing. However, I have never experienced such lack of empathy, compassion or basic bedside manner, ever, than I did from the Kingston A&E department. Yes, the doctors are …
Good sized hospital, well maintained and a pleasure to be served by wonderful medical staff. Plenty of waiting areas and catering outlets. OK, the waiting times can be a pain, even for pre-booked appointments, but they were bearable – once …
Wonderful team of nurse and doctors at sunshine and dolphin wards, I had my daughter mahima looked after with great care. The dinnner lady is such a gem lovely person , great seeing her after a year and half since maternity. Keep up the …
I’m not surprised to see the numerous bad reviews about A&E as I just had a bad experience yesterday. I was taken to this hospital in an ambulance service late night because of pulse reaching 195. After reaching there, I was asked to wait …
My partner was sent to this hospital A&E twice because of mental issue and suicide indication. On both occasion, my partner managed to come back home without any treatment. They left people with a high risk of self-harm unattended and they …
Excellent hospital. I’ve never had to wait long for two different x rays and check ups. This hospital is a breath of fresh air compared to others in the UK. …
Very friendly team of doctors and nurses at Kingston Hospital. The only issue is the limited parking and I would recommend clearer instructions on letters because the postcode takes you to a staff-only car park. You then need to come back out and drive 2-3mins down the road to find the customer car park.
The most …….. hospital i have ever seen. I can not find any worse word to use it. The most rubbish service at the A&E. waited for 4:30hrs minutes in one departments with my child and than they have transferred us to another one. And told us …
My over experience with Kinston hospital is very good. The nursing staff are amazing and really look after you well. I must say I did have almost a 5 hour wait for my outpatient procedure, but it was very busy and I just happened to be the …
Arrived tonight about 7.40pm straight from rugby training with my son with a suspected broken collar bone! Ouch!
We had to wait a short time to check in 5 -10 mins but after was sent straight …
I never thought I’d be writing a review about a hospital. I’ve had three encounters with Kingston Hospital now, once in Dermatology, once in A&E for a friend, and the latest in Cardiology. Everyone is aware of how incredibly (and …
A lot of people with unrealistic expectations, complaining about the wait times especially in A&E for pain and other non-life threatening conditions, clearly have no idea how triage works what is a real emergency. The care I have received …
I just wanted to say I had excellent service 21st January 23 having my mole removed. I was so impressed with the Doctor and Nurses and couldn’t be more grateful and happy. I feel very lucky to have that experience.
Superb experience in the Endoscopy department in the Esher Wing, which is modern and well maintained. The staff were all really friendly and the Michael Grimes was very likeable and I can see outs patients at ease. All very well organised.
Came to Kingston hospital for my son on 4 Jan 2023. While my son was in trumendous pain, I just kept hearing lots of meaningless conversations by the staff who kept talking about either non work matters or water cooler chitchat about TV …
Great experience from start to finish with my same day Myosure procedure (uterus polyps removal) at the new Willow Building at Kingston Hospital last 12th January 2023. Checked in was quick. Miss Al Shabibi the Gynecologist Consultant …
The pharmacy service at the hospital is absolutely atrocious , not only did I have to wait 30 minutes to be served but I was then given a ticket and told to wait to collect my medication which took another 30 minutes. So my quick …
Absolutely fab staff in at Main Reception, UTC and X-Ray, all were stars and made you feel at ease, the initial wait in UTC was longer than expected though considering the amount of people they are taking care of it wasn’t an issue. I was …
I have just spoken to two of your admin staff in Urogynae & Gynae . I think they were named Katrina & Helen . It is so lovely and refreshing to speak to staff who sound happy, are very helpful and pleasant . They should be congratulated as they are an asset to the hospital . Thanks ladies 😍 …
I will never use this hospital again
The nurses in accident and emergency ward are rude and have no empathy or kindness in them at all. I would rather goto west Middlesex than here and in fact I …
I visited my mother at the CDU ward today. The nurse could not find even a few seconds to give me an update about my mother. The nurse went for a break and just left me waiting. I hope this is not the way the staff always treat visitors. I was appalled.
My son had tonsillitis and a high temperature three days in to the new year. We called and kept trying through the NHS app surgery for an appointment but no luck. We had to take him to Kingston hospital A&E. …
Worse hospital ever. My son broke his wrist and came in pain and waiting for 2 hours already.
When I asked if anyone is going to see my child, they said 2 hours. …
I would give 0 if the option would be there, 15 hours wait and no diagnosis, sure they did some tests in between, however, after someone missreported on a scan, everyone started forgeting about the patient, who was having acute severe pain. …
This isnt the best hospital to be at some doctors dont care about the patients i have been to A&E emergency department a few times with my mum and they make us wait a ridiculos amout of time just to tell us there is nothing for us to worry …
I give 1 for the lack of parking. Wasted an hour circling around cos god forbid we brought a car. Please create more parking spaces. …
Called kingston early pregnancy unit and spoke to Cathy. She is so professional and im very happy that i spoke to her because some Receptionist are very rude. But cathy was amazing.
The fracture clinic has been great. My wait times were very short, everyone was friendly and professional. I was passed around a couple of different areas – fractures, x-ray, back to fractures but the directions were clear and I was never left wondering what was happening. All good.
Fantastic hospital. Had an appointment with dermatology this morning – the whole process was very smooth (an online system to book, text updates), which kept things simple and easy to follow. I got lost a couple of times in the building – …
Let’s face it, NHS is not functioning anymore! And we had the worst experience in this hospital A&E, we waited more than 7 hours to just see the doctor, this is beyond acceptable! You could have died in 7 hours!
There is a doctor working at Kingston hospital A&E who seems to think that throwing a box of medication at someone is acceptable. I have read at least one other review who also experienced this. He also sent home an 89 year old female who …
Saved my life. I’m an Australian and was living and working in London in 2005. I had pneumonia but couldn’t get time off work to see a doctor (the NHS makes you see someone local to where you live and I lived in Bayswater). So sick at work …
Unfortunately, I had a stressful experience in Outpatients Diabetes Unit with my nurse – Ms. Murray. Hopefully, on my next visit, I’ll be treated more respectfully by another member of the team.
Exceptional service from all staff I had contact with. While the waiting time was (expectedly) long at the A&E, I was still seen within 3 hours of arrival, my concerns were taken seriously and all doctors and nurses were very attentive even …
My friend had to come to A&E today. While I was waiting I went to the reataurant for a bite to eat

Attended a&e after falling down stairs. Was really pleased to be seen relatively quickly (was triaged, seen by doctor and had X-ray and results within 2hrs 45) which by nhs standards is quick. …
The Boots pharmacy at Kingston Hospital is the worst ever! Today I queued to hand in my prescription for one single medicine. I was given a number for collection and told to wait in the waiting area and watch the screen until my number …
Julie and Sinead in Kingston Hospital’s CDU did a great job of looking after my 88 year-old father today. They communicated really well with him and also by phone with me so that we were all on the same page. …
Horrible 8 hour waiting with a toddler through the night, 8 hour without even seeing a doctor. No whatsoever information about the waiting time, it’s the worst experience I’ve ever had.
Called 111 to ask for advice as I tore a post-op stitch. They gave me an appointment slot 30 mins later (10 pm on a Thursday) so i grabbed my keys and ran out the door to make it on time. I get to the hospital and the receptionist tells me …

I attended Endoscopy on their new unit on the 7th floor. I couldnt praise them enough. Firstly the unit is really nice and well run, the staff were unbelievably good. Nursing staff, the porter and the Consultant himself made a very …
The doctors in A&E department is good, but the nurses are ridiculous. My back was hurt so seriously, that I was not able to seat to wait for the doctor. It’s so painful, that the pain killer didn’t work on me. I told them that I was not …
Worst A&E ever.

ZERO STARS (but you cant put that so I have had to give 1 star) Utterly appauling service. Cant get through to anyone on the phone. They missed my telephone appointment when it was an emergency. An utter disgrace STAY AWAY

Poor services by staff members. I once visited to see my sister who I could not get hold of as she didn’t have enough charge on her phone. One of nurses took me to find out, and came to know she was already discharged. After searching for …

We are truly privileged to have the service of a care system at our disposal. I have encountered great service from some of the nicest staff members. I was, however, asked to come in early and was left waiting for such a long time, I wonder …
Disgusted drove from the midlands to take dad to Kingston hospital they phoned dad whose got dementia to tell him cancelled 2 days ago he forgot letter not arrived yet, they have repeatedly been told do not to phone him phone one of the sons
This is ridiculous, first of I have been waiting 7 hours in complete chest pain in the waiting room, then still no one provided a proper diagnosis about my health condition. They are unorganised, nurses calling patients on the same time …
3 or 4 hours wait – plastic chair in a waiting room – before being seen by anyone, even a triage nurse. I was too ill to sit up, so had to take a taxi home without being seen. Private health care is the only option.
Went to the day surgery, and the staff was nothing short of fantastic. We have a great system. They looked after me, took the time to speak to me and made sure I was OK (and gave me a tea and biscuits to get a sugar kick) before I left.
This happened some time ago.
Had to go to the A&E and a nurse was taking my blood. I wasn’t moving or saying …
I went in with extreme abdomen pain and couldn’t breathe properly and was in so much agony. I first approached the receptionist CAROLINE with a letter from my GP, she looked so unbothered and didn’t even check my documents and put my issue …
A serious lack of compassion and professionalism in the ward with geriatrics. A nurse basically threw a pillow at an old person who requested one. Another person was stuck for an hour who partially slipped. No care and disrespectful …
This isn’t necessarily a reflection of Kingston hospital’s core work but I rang them on the 24th of march to let them know that I couldn’t attend a phone appointment. There wasn’t really any attempt to conceal her contempt when she …
Just want to say a massive thank you to the two lovely nurses I saw today for my colposcopy procedure. I came to the appointment scared and left on a high and positive note. Never had such a positive experience in a hospital setting. Everything was explained so well. Highly recommend this hospital. You’re in safe hands 🙏 …
Slow but it is the NHS. Parked here coming to A&E after having a mental injury – mental meaning crazy bad. They literally saw me in pain but left me hanging for 5 hours. Also forgot to say that parking was not free. Infact it was like 8 pounds an hour! Shouldnt be taking advantage of people like that
Where do I even start. Came here as a student nurse, immediately felt welcomed. The care and love from the staff, the atmosphere within the actual hospital, especially DSU, is wonderful. Having had an insight of how everything happens, if I …
I was taken to A&E by ambulance on Saturday night. Paramedics were brilliant, warm and friendly, they had done first examination carefully before we went to hospital. Reduced my stress level, even I had too much pain and worry felt in safe …
For a start you have to pay for parking and it is limited availability which I could see being an issue during busy period. Temperature checks on the door, seat dividers and masks used throughout. …
Brilliant experience with the staff here, each taking the opportunity to take personal responsibility before passing to the next department. Knowledgable and helpful, witty too ! …
I have been under the excellent care of the rheumatology department for the past five years. Their responsiveness, diagnosis and medical prescription changed my life radically. …

We had a good experience here over the easter weekend after our 8 year old son badly broke his arm. A&E were very efficient and the staff on the Sunshine ward were fantastic (as were the orthopaedic & anaesthesiology teams). Our only …

I can’t praise enough the staff doctors and nurses who attended me over a period …
The communication between the jasmine unit and other departments around anything to do with pregnancy is an utter joke for a start. On top of that you get given an appointment to turn up to and end up waiting sometimes an hour or more after …
Incredibly lovely, caring staff that helped deliver my baby in the smoothest possible way. Beyond grateful to every single medical professional involved in the process! Thank you from the bottom of my heart KH Staff!

Racism is prevalent in the Maternity unit. It is very sad. I stood at the entrance and watch the reception white staff allow all the white people without questioning them and then watch Black and Brown people come to the same reception goes …
