Their Phone lines never work and they always are engaged. They keep blundering and sending me huge council tax bills and still try to make me pay them and then finally realise they have it wrong and cancel it. Bunch of Thieves. would give a lower rating if possible, they dont deserve 1 star

Not quite sure why but this council is the worst I have experienced, lots of mistakes. Probably understaffed and not implementing effective practices. Quite ashamed to have to now live in an area under this, for lack of a better word, useless council.

Just phoned the recycling department to ask what to do with a tub of slug pellets (poison) that I found at the back of the shed. The council told me to put the tub in a black bag to go to landfill. Seriously? …

It’s not very helpful, and the staff seem to be untrained or purposely ignorant

Useless. Doesn’t take into account peoples mental wellbeing. They don’t listen and they tell you all the things they can’t help you with rather than helping you find a solution. A council is supposed to help and support their locals, not abandon them. Shocking.

If you’re homeless they can’t help. If you want to have a conversation with rationale, they are useless, if you stop paying your council tax they’ll ring you. Probably quicker than being on hold for 45 mins anyway

If you need help with housing then forget it. Your on your own Tiverton housing department don’t wont to know. Very patronizing and belittling with little or no comparison.

This is now a faceless organisation impossible to contact, the phone line is only available for half a day, four days a week and when you do phone the number it is always engaged. Emails do not work either as you do not get a reply.

Absolutely terrible, “Sorry I’m not not trained in that department” … only wanted to know if the email I had was genuine!

Couldn’t have been more helpful and kind when having to deal with them after my father died.

Never before have I had the displeasure of dealing with a bunch of inept and unorganized shower of people . The planning department fail to keep to any timescales impossible to get hold of and when you do they fail to return your calls . Disastrous every which way

Dont take half off the recycling useless
