Write a ReviewVery nice gym and staff. I am new to the area and the staff gave me a 5 day free trial and I had an amazing session! Thank you guys 🫶 can’t wait to be back. …
Sadly didn’t have the best experience. Arrived at 10 to 4 and asked if I could pay and go for free swim as wanted to do some lengths. Lady at reception advised that the current session was only on until 4:30pm and was that OK if not I could …
Decent facilities. Pool is good, well maintained, locker rooms are very good.
Three stars because of the male changing rooms, way to small. Definitely need to …
Leisure pool is small, shallow and quite cool in temperature. Can’t access main pool on leisure pool ticket. No really happy medium between toddlers and bigger kids. Staff were very nice.
Love this place. The staff are amazing, the new gym is state-of-the art, and the classes are excellent. …
Only ever used the leisure pool but nice for little ones with slides and sprinklers, sometimes water can be a bit cold, the inflatable course looked good!
Went swimming today and it was freezing my child’s lips and skin were blue… when I asked the lifeguard if it gets any warmer he said it doesn’t and he doesn’t know anymore as it’s above his pay grade definitely will be finding somewhere else to swim in the near future. Parish Wharf used to be good but has gone downhill immensely
Nicely organised swim place but wven with onkine booking its very slow to get in so quite a queue, with little ones excited to go can be a challenge. Nice organisation of small area
They reduced the pool temperature to save energy bills now my children refuse to to into the pool for classes because it too freezing cold! It’s heart breaking seeing my children shivering in the pool then come out with purple lips and blue …
It was okay…my 2 and a half yr old daughter enjoyed the slide, but apart from that it’s pretty basic, could be improved massively for the little ones!…also wasn’t the warmest. …
As a local I have used this swimming pool for years. It just seems to be getting worse and worse recently. Ironically as you go in the changing rooms there are signs asking you to remove your shoes to ‘keep the changing rooms clean’ however …
Dislike the strict time slot system currently in place at the leisure centre. Swimming sessions are not long enough – between 45-60 minutes maximum. If you have young children you will now need to choose whether you book for the small …
Cold water in the fun pool. Overzealous jobsworth lifeguards threatening to throw kids out for the slightest transgressions. Not much fun for a fun pool!
Parking spaces are quite narrow, especially if trying to get kids in and out of cars. Family cubicles could do with being a bit wider and more of them too.
Staff are okay, some friendly and helpful others are a bit frosty.
Perfect location for leisure, specially for kayaking.
Large Swimming pool also around for families .
It has now become a seriously good gym…we went to the new Pure Gym for 3 weeks ..showers never hot…only 6 spin bikes…(although they were much better than the very old ones at Parish)…at £28 per month including classes, swimming, off peak badminton you can’t go wrong.
Coming here, you get the very real impression the people who run it cannot stand their customers and have devised a series of small but very irritating ways to get revenge on them. The pool is always slightly too cold, you have to bring …
An excellent facility and super friendly helpful receptionist. Free parking in its own car park
I a bit disappointed you can use swimming just for one hour -main all family or kids pool just kids .Sad😥 …
Good value for money, at walking distance, good quality equipment, and some amazing instructors and staff members.
The reason for the 3 stars is cleanliness.
The floor in the changing rooms need regular cleaning throughout the day as it …
Been swimming regularly here for over a year…gone a long way to improve ankle injury glad we have this local resource.
I see plans in hand to refurbush gym…pool changing rooms/showers do the job …
Rude and unfriendly customer service. I bought a swimming pool entry cards before Covid and i can not use it ever since. The booking system does not accept tem, so you have to call the reception. Be the lucky one, to be connected to the …
Tired. Needs an overhaul. Pool is ok but leisure pool is rubbish.Pool area dirty and bodged repairs etc. Changing area dated. Showers rubbish no water pressure.Stupid set swim times and cannot use hot tubs when in main pool anymore.Had to …
Took my 2 hear old for Some splashing in small pool, you need to book an hour slot in advance, (which does make it not to busy 👍) also lockers have no locks, it was over 10 yrs since I last went, the floor in the swim change area was still …
Friendly and helpful staff. Lane swimming available.
It is what is. Changing rooms/cubicles could be cleaned more frequently and the swimming pool slightly warmer but otherwise great dacilities.
Absolutely filthy. Toilets and basin didn’t look like it had been cleaned in months. Floors need a damn good clean. They are really slippery too. My child went flying and was walking holding my hand and nearly took me with them. Not funny …
Nice starter pool for young children, family love it
Staff were great and the pool was awesome for the kids! Little annoying about the padlock for the lockers but I guess we could have checked on the website as we just assumed the normal pound or wrist band key.
The recent new equipment & cosmetic improvements have lifted the place. Staff are helpful too.
Gym was good pre-pandemic. They have locked away too many of the machines and have the space to add more, the result is not everything you need is available. The pool is also now pointless, you change in front of everybody and is centered …
Really good staff great pools
Love this place. Such a great gym/ classes and pool with amazing value if you sign up monthly. I love the virtual 30 mins classes too…no fuss, you can just whip in for a burst of body balance or bodypump and keep your health mission on track. Very well organised since Covid too. Feel very reassured going there.
Thank you for facilitating my first indoor swim since March. Very polite, informed Staff, working with strict restrictions – well handled.
Top tip for new comers – bring a small padlock to make use of the lockers ( bigger than luggage size ) …
3.5-4* really. The pool is reasonable. Good size and temperature, not fantastically clean, changing rooms aren’t all that good, we popped into a cubicle then noticed blood on the floor… Staff are usually great but a few have been a bit a bit rude or unhelpful.
The leisure pool is nice for young children if and when it is open but as today shows. It is not open to 5.30pm even though it is for under 7s. …
I’ve been a member for three years and can tell you that, except for the PTs, nobody cares about you. They’re all jobsworths. Membership is a total rip off, with no options for gym-only usage. I don’t want to use the pool as the water is …
I find swimming is fantastic for me. I enjoy the gym, zumba class and spin cycling class as it helps me get fit and staff are very friendly and helpful from Suzy Cranney
Good leisure centre that isn’t too pricey. The classes are really good but this does unfortunately mean they are rather busy!! Sometimes there are issues with showers etc which is only reason for the lost star. Good facilities in the gym and all the staff are friendly!
Visited parish warf on Sunday afternoon was quite shocked how much it has changed . Dirty changing rooms showers mouldy . All bars and railings rusty hairdryers rusty or not working really does need a make over and cleaning up
Gym equipment is worn out and in need of replacing. There’s also young kids under 11 using the equipment with no idea what they are doing and highly likely to hurt themselves
Disapointed once again. Main pool freezing cold 3rd time in a row . You would like to think after having a new heating system put in it would actually be warm
The swimming pool is perfect for a morning swim. It too busy and time slots of 45 mins are great for me.
Nice pool for children, however it got to the stage they stopped people going in as it was “busy” and implemented a one in one out policy, possibly due to only having one lifeguard on. …
Went there yesterday after having gone there last in May. Complained of filthy changing rooms and toilets but found the same yesterday, so no change here. Was told that we had to buy padlocks for lockers at £5 each or leave our bags on the …
The most anti customer leisure center ive been in. Terrible, looping, broken website, insistence on registering before use, lockers are bring your own lock (but this isnt stated clearly anywhere before arriving), sessions are mega short, …
Lovely pool ,friendly staff but changing room floor is very dirty
Still awaiting a family swim refund after booking in June for a family swim beginning of July.. however due to un forseen circumstances and getting a call 20 mins before session they said centre was closed apologised and said I would get …
Good, clean gym with a great selection of free weights and machines. Plenty of space so you don’t get showered in sweat by the person next to you! Swimming pool is average though and is in desperate need of some tlc.
Spacious gym and good variety of classes that vary throughout the day and week. Always have good membership deals on, so always enquire. Free 5 day gym pass before joining. Free month membership for referal. Changing rooms are always clean. …
Reasonable swim and clean pool but way too over complicated padlock system for lockers that is not v disability accessible/friendly. In addition required to support additional wristband to prove you have paid.
Nice swimming pools and good hot tub. It’s often crowded and the place isn’t too big. For swimming, the open air pool is a better choice. I can’t comment on the gym but from what I can see they have everything from a gym that you’d want
Filthy floors in changing rooms despite attendants ‘wiping’ them, chewing gum stuck to cubicle wall, thick layer of dust along top of tiling- couldn’t find a private shower. Poolside seating rusting just adding to overall impressions that this place needs some tlc
We love it here. Great place to take the kids. Scenery outside is lovely. Free parking as well. Close to Portishead shoos.
Can’t comment on the Leisure Centre in general. I park there for a weekly Health Walk with the Portishead Strollers, and used to pop in to use the loo in prepandemic times. Seems to be getting busy again. They’re installing EV charging points which I may use.
Really annoyed at the disregard shown for your personal property. If your child leaves clothing on the premises they will dispose of them within 24 hours. The rationale is hygiene but this is the only leisure centre I have ever been to that …
The Staff are very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is fantastic and good for burning off the calories in your body, the legs, bums, tums is fantastic for good health and the Gym is really good to use weight. The cycling class is great with burning off calories. The zumba is fantastic as I really like it. From Suzy Cranney
Pleasant harbour side location with trees grass parking and disabled parking. Also appears to have electric car charging facilities.
Tired and in serious need of refurbishment. The paint is flaking, the two water slides are broken and the over we all appearance is quiet tatty. The water temperature is always too cold, especially for very young children.
What a lovely place to visit . Very clean and friendly with plenty of places to eat and have coffee and cake. Had best fish and chips in a long time can’t wait to go back . Well worth a visit.
Not a serious gym.
Weights are never in order or stacked appropriately. …
3hrs free parking makes this a good location to visit, park and make use of the local facilities. Also 4 electric car charging ports.
The pool is always very cold when it’s not closed because of some fault. Unfortunately it hasn’t been well looked after and could do with some significant investment. I recommend either Bradley Stoke or Clevedon as an alternative until proper repairs are made.
Staff very friendly can usually get a badminton court when I need one. Good size pool but tiles slippery, changing booths could be cleaner
Great to see it fully open now. Very friendly staff and good value.
Lovely warm swimming pool. The small kids pool is nice for the younger ones, but is a bit too small for kids younger than about 5 or 6. Need to take £5 as a deposit for a locker key.
Friendly staff great place to swim .and if you wanted to take a walk around the marina lovely place to be
The changing rooms and floors are really dirty. Dirty unbagged nappies under the benches and litter. The floor is always dirty. This has been reported to reception many times. It can be very unpleasant. I wish it was cleaner as otherwise it is a good facility.
Very poor communication between staff! Understandably busy on bank holiday but being told 30mins wait with a toddler to keep occupied was tolerable but not being communicated with and when asked as been waiting over the 30minutes told it …
My kids love going swimming here! The children’s swimming area is packed full of fun things including slides and little water fountains. Would recommend.
Pool and changing areas are dirty! Quite often facilities in the toddler pool are out of action for weeks at a time. I take my toddler there because there are no other local options.
Nice swim and friendly staff. Showing some signs of age but a good experience. Friendly staff. Good carparking. I will return.
Nice place swimming pool is good and the water is warm. Change rooms see unisex, The showers are very hot.
I went here for a hilarious fat-mans-paddle, and everything went SWIMMINGLY. I found some of the staff were a little DAMP, and one of the guys at the coffee counter was a real DRIP; but it’s okay because I can TRUNK through anything when …
All be it it has nice play equipment for little ones and has a nice pool for everyone else. But i am not a fan of unisex changing rooms and not being very hygienic.
Twice now I’ve been with my 2 year old and turned away because of other activities such as swimming clubs. When asked if there is anyway to check before I leave I simply got told no.
The pools are outstanding! The staff are friendly. The gym is great and has a abundance of equipment to use to improve fitness.
Great leisure centre but the swimming pool is way too cold especially for baby’s
