A good cinema, with a good and varied programme of options to entertain. There is a bar with light food options on the first floor with level access from the car-park. Cinema screens are accessible from the street level. Both levels are linked by internal stairs, but there is no lift.

Oh, how sweet the pleasure that I didst experience at the Exeter Picturehouse! A building of plays and pinto, verily, it was the best entertainment that mine eyes hath ever seen. Forsooth, at a mere cost of £45.99 per person, with a glass …

Lovely little cinema, with a great bar and cafe upstairs, serving delicious pizzas in a cosy informal atmosphere.
Even though there are only 3 types of pizza on the menu, they are definitely some of the best in Exeter, plus they have Estrella on tap…. enough said!

I always love visiting this Picturehouse. Great choice of films, mellow area to relax before or after a film, enjoy great coffee, a nibble or a glug or two of wine. The sun always seems to shine here!

Glad to see they’re reopened. Great venue for seeing films other than the mass market blockbusters. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Snacking & drinking choices are good, including alcohol. In comparison to other Exeter cinemas though, a ticket seems much more costly

Smaller cinema than the big multiplexes and all the better for it. Great if you want to watch a film in peace without teenagers talking all the time as they go to other venues. Seats are the best and refreshments are good quality.

I cannot praise the team, venue and experience more. The staff are exemplary. So helpful. We had pizza and a toasted sandwich in the lovely café/bar before the film, which were excellent. I’ve visited a number of Picturehouse’s around the UK, and they all deliver. Top marks!

A firm favourite when looking to watch either the newest blockbuster or a less well known art house film. Grab a glass of something cold and choose either a comfy single seat or even a sofa.

This is how a cinema is done. Comfy seats, no worrying about the person in from and welcome staff. A breath of fresh air after the usual Vue / Showcase cinemas.

Watched the Lion King here, and really enjoyed the film. Really good selection of drinks, and fully equipped bar. One thing that made the viewing experience slightly uncomfortable were the sofa seats. They are quite upright and hard to relax on. If they had a slight recline, it would be splendid. Otherwise, great cinema.

The cinema is fabulous, my favourite in Exeter by a country mile. The bar and pizza experience is also good… but not if you don’t eat meat or dairy. I’ve asked twice now and the management shows no interest in making non meat/dairy …

we prefer this to all other local screens. nice atmosphere. pleasant bar area. very comfortable seats. great value if you go the silver screen sessions. bit awkward to park if you can’t get into their small car park being the only drawback.

Great little cinema, much more like a traditional cinema experience. Only two screens, screen one has such comfy seats, and if you get a sofa seat, even better. Upstairs there is a bar and you can take your drinks into the screening. It’s very civilised indeed.

Customer centric ethos and passion for film that only the independents and small chain cinemas seem able to bring. If movie going dies it will be the fault of multiplexes, not cinemas like the Picturehouse. Lovely bar and great seats. Picture and audio up to scratch. Recommended over the other cinemas in Exeter.

We think this is the best cinema in the West Country. You can meet in the upstairs bar with friends, listen to jazz music (sometimes live acoustic music), take your drinks in their glasses (NOT plastic!) in to one of the art film screenings downstairs and settle into double seat sofa seats towards the back to enjoy the film.

Such a amazing experience going to this cinema, love the fact you can sit on sofa’s. The only reason I have given a 4 star review is because in screen 2 there is a fire exit sign which of course stays illuminated through out the movie, which stops you from focussing on the screen.

Smallish screen compared to some of the big multiplexes and the rows of seats don’t have enough angle to clear the person in fronts head so if they are taller than you it masks some of the screen. Good picture and sound and a nice cafe bar to use pre/post movie. Reasonable prices.

Love the Picturehouse in Exeter. It’s got a great upstairs seating area where you can have some food and something to drink.
