Unfriendly and unhelpful staff who have no interest in making things better.
Having recently given up the tenancy on our mothers’ home we are very grateful to the Tenancy and Rent departments at SDC for their help and guidance throughout. The process was very straightforward. Special thanks to Maria for all her help in arranging for a refund of overpaid rent and for her very good communication and kindness.

Took away my local indoor skatepark. This place ment so much to so many people. We now have nowhere to ride during winter or other cold and rainy days. And what for…this skatepark was people’s lives as theyve just taken it away.
Phone up about a repair, got through straight away. Told repairs being brought back into house. Bit of a backlog due to this and recent storms but I can wait. Just glad repairs are back with the council so much better when they have their own workers. I am a Very happy tennant.

I’ve never had any cause for complaint with Stroud District Council, they’ve always handled my enquiries well. Their budgets are always being cut and nobody ever wants to pay any more council tax. Having lived in other areas in the county under other other councils, there is much worse out there.

Here with a baby. Due a feed and I ask for hot water. I was pointed in direction of the restaurant who said the water was not boiled. Back to the reception and they also refused to give water for a baby’s bottle!!!! Well what a bunch of stuck up unfriendly baby so called community public funded centre. Terrible service, I’ve made countless phone calls regarding the same issue, only to be told there is a back log. I completely understand that and have been very patient, but after months of waiting for the issue to be resolved and a payment to be made, they couldn’t even get that right!
Two maintenance men came out to fix my window, very friendly, I had to leave due to school run and they kindly waited for me to come back to make sure I was happy with it, very much appreciated

Absolutely terrible, by far the worst council in the country, has to be! Poor service on every occasion unprofessional staff who aren’t equipped with the knowledge to help you or answer your questions properly long story short SDC are an absolute lost cause and a waste of your time, do it yourself!
I have to admire your recent attempt at trying to gridlock the whole Stroud district with roadworks. I do think if you tried a bit harder you could bring the whole area to a complete standstill.

Not good. Having loads of issues with rubbish and refuse collection. Someone is sqeezing their balls to curtail collections etc. Doing my own tip runs now. Waste of time and i paying them for service i dont get

Shame you cant get a zero rating choice….terrible service all round…ask 1 person get right answer or so you like to think …then get someone else who tells you totally different thing….incompetence at it’s best!
Kept waiting over 10 minutes minutes for the call to be answered before being transferred to an extension with an answerphone stating “Leave a message”

Fell at the first fence – dialled their main number and waited and waited and nobody answers. If you can’t get this right then what chance have you got!!
