I’m extremely disappointed with the way Moray Council has treated individuals with Type 1 diabetes. My experience has left me feeling that there is a serious lack of understanding, empathy, and fairness when it comes to supporting people living with this lifelong medical condition.

Despite clear medical evidence that Type 1 diabetes is not a lifestyle choice and requires constant management, the council’s approach and decisions have shown little consideration for these realities. Rather than offering reasonable adjustments or understanding the daily challenges faced by those with this condition, their actions have instead come across as dismissive and discriminatory.

It’s incredibly disheartening to see a public body that should be promoting equality and inclusion failing to meet basic standards of fairness. I hope Moray Council takes this feedback seriously, reviews its policies and staff training, and makes the necessary changes to ensure that people with chronic health conditions like Type 1 diabetes are treated with respect and compassion.

Until that happens, I cannot recommend Moray Council or have confidence in their commitment to equality.

My heating would not work . Phoned the emergency number and got the lovely guy who put me on to a lady who was lovely and so helpful . Within in an hour the guy came out and a real jolly nice guy . Stupid me just needed batteries for my thermostat . Delighted with all the people I spoke to 11/10
