Very disappointed with our experience dealing with Marquis Motorhomes & Caravans Ltd.
My brother suffered a life-changing stroke and permanent disability after entering into agreements relating to caravan/motorhome purchases. Following cancellation of an original order, Marquis retained a £3,000 sum as company credit rather than refunding it in cash.
My brother and sister-in-law later placed a further £1,500 cash deposit on a different motorhome in the hope that they would still eventually be able to proceed. Unfortunately, due to the serious deterioration in my brother’s health, that purchase also had to be cancelled.
Marquis eventually agreed to return the separate £1,500 cash deposit, but maintained their position regarding the original £3,000 credit despite the exceptional circumstances involved.
The overall experience left our family feeling extremely distressed and unsupported at a very difficult time. What disappointed us most was the lack of flexibility and compassion shown throughout the process, particularly given there appeared to be little evidence of significant financial loss to the company.
Others entering into agreements of this nature should make sure they fully understand the cancellation terms and practical consequences before signing anything.

Hung around for 45 minutes. No sales people to help
If you go here for any sort of work on your motorhome be prepared to be ripped off. I was quoted £600+ (which included 5 hours labour at £78 an hour) for a job which another local Swift service centre did for just £230 in 2 hours!!!!
Disinterested dismissive and rude. Walked in with 60k burning a hole in my pocket and they treated us like we were an inconvenience on their day.
If you are taking your motorhomes or caravan in for service sometimes the parking can be a bit difficult. The staff in the sales and service are very polite and helpful and if you have problems with your unit they get it sorted out reasonably quick, depending on the time of the year, during spring and summer the seem very busy.
