Moorfields A&E department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are based in Moorfields Eye Hospital in City Road, central London. Please note that we are not a general A&E and can only help with eye conditions.

If it's an emergency, no just walk in accident and emergency

If you have a problem with your eyes, go asap to A&E at Moorfields. You will be seen by a Triage nurse and then directed through into 1 of 2 sitting areas. Yes, it maybe quite a wait if they are busy but their professionalism and the quality of the care they give you is second t none. Brilliant hospital. Amazing staff. I know.. I'm a patient there having walked in with a sore eye 4 years ago. If you have an urgent need to see an eye doctor you do not need to be referred. Go asap to A&E. It may take some time but you will receive help.no you don't , you go to the Moorfields a&e dept. They will assess what is wrong & you will then have a follow up appointment.

According to them no. It's no for second opinions. You'll have to get your GP to send a referral through for outpatients

Go back to the hospital, either see your original consultant, or go to their A+E department.

There is no parking at thr hospitsl (unless youre a Blue Badge holfer). The hospital is just within the Congestion Zone, which is also the Ultra Low Emission Zone. There is a daily charge for both of these, but you need to be aware or you could get a Penalty Charge Notice for entering the Zone. Also, if your car is not compliant to emission standards (eg, a diesel car that is not Euro 6) you have to pay an hourly diesel surcharge. It really is bonkers but if you sre on City Road outside the hospital and don't enter the hospital by car, you'll be fine to quickly drop off the patient. There is a car park on the other side but it is not free.

Depends on problem i got appointment next day then nearly 3hours before being seen after appointment time
