Most people I know pay their council tax by direct debit and they've received their money around mid May, I don't have a direct debit with them so I am still to receive it. Will give them another week or so and then try to contact them. Hope this helps.

There are some properties that the tenant needs written permission to have a dog or cat, but generally the limit is pretty much set by your particular housing officer so if he/she is not willing for 2 dogs and a cat to occupy the property you'll have an up hill struggle getting past them. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news....

So far as u know how the property is used provided you "quietly enjoy" the property "should" be legal However different housing officers have different ideas on what that means and there is less oversight than there used to be basically right now it depends on what your housing officer accepts. If you tie a liner to the handle of the food bin when you put it out for collection, the bin men should leave you a roll. Failing that, most supermarkets sell them.
