Anyone know if l can claim back parking expenses as had to support someone attending court recently? Thank you
Depends on the case .. yes if it was a tribunal appeal (write to the Court for a form) If it was a criminal, civil or family case you can only claim back expenses if your charges are added to the costs of the case and even then a Judge will have to approve them at the end of the case. If it was only a couple of quid then I'd call yourself a good friend and shoulder the cost .. expenses are at taxpayers cost and usually cover things like time off work for expert witnesses or interpreters .. up to you!
