Yea you can if the driver is over 21 and accompanied by another driver also over 21 and held there licence over 3 years. Ring them there a friendly bunch and don't bite.
Can an insured driver use the car if the disabled person isn't with them

If he's offered to fix it I'd say he wasn't insured...

Can we put our son on insurance as a second driver.

If you have an online Motability account, then this gives you access to a RSAM online account where you can make driver changes. (*For more information on setting up an account visit https://www.motability.co.uk/my-account/)
Alternatively, you can speak to our Customer Service Team over the phone when your son is with you. They have to speak to the proposed driver as well you see to go through a statement and submit a licence check. The customer service team are currently available on 0300 037 3737 Mon-Fr 8am-7pm & sat 8am-4pm.

To register a new claim, please call us on 0300 037 3737 Mon-Fri 8am-5pm & Sat 8am-4pm currently. Alternatively you can fill in our online claim form in the "Make a claim" section on our website and a member of the claims team will aim to contact you within 48 working hours.

If rsa refusded my insurance on motability in the past can I reaply again to them again
Hello Geoff, as it has been mentioned already, it would depend on why you were refused. For example, we would consider certain things for a period of 4 or 5 years. Though due to the wide range of reasons it could be, the best answer I could give is that we would consider it on a case by case basis. How long after gastric sleeve surgery before I can drive

I hope the surgery has gone/goes well for you!
Our policy is that we are happy for you to drive as long as you have been advised by a medical practitioner that you are OK to drive and your licence has not been revoked by the DVLA. We don't note or amend the policy, we only need to do this if your licence has been revoked. It is your responsibility to follow advice from a medical practitioner or the DVLA regarding driving. If you drive the car against medical advice this may invalidate your insurance.

I would like to put my daughter on my insurance
If you need to add a permanent driver you will need to speak to our customer service team over the phone when the proposed driver is with you. They have to speak to the proposed driver as well you see to go through a statement and submit a licence check. The customer service team are currently available on 0300 037 3737 Mon-Fr 8am-7pm & sat 8am-4pm.
If you just require temporary cover for up to a maximum of 30 days, we can look into this either over the phone or via Live Chat which is available on our website Mon-Fri 9am-5pm currently. You will need all of the proposed drivers details for including full details of any accidents, claims or bans they have had (if any) within the last 5 years, and know if they have any restrictions on their licence.

My wife is thinking of getting a car that is 160 bhp , insurance group 16, she is a learner driver and 39 years old is this allowed
As long as motobility have approved your wife's application the underwriters rsa will issue insurance probably with som restrictions and upfront costs but that will not stop you having the car you have applied for

Unfortunately we are not a private insurer here at RSA Motability. We just come as part of the Motability Scheme package so wouldn't be able to assist with providing insurance or advice on insurance for your vehicle. You would need to look into private insurance
What does it cost to change your car early..??
You can cancel your lease if you have a valid reason. You would have to contact customer services to find out what the fees and options are.
