Enjoy delicious meals in our communal dining room. The fantastic onsite house manager ensures that the house is warm, comfortable and safe and that the daily meals provided are varied, nutritious and enjoyable.
What's in the local area?
We are situated in a perfect location on the Elizabethan Walls surrounding the town, offering easy direct access to the town centre and truly stunning views of the River Tweed. We are just a short walk from plenty of cafes, bars and restuarants for you to enjoy as well as having many stunning historical landmarks right on the doorstep.
What age do I need to be to live in an Abbeyfield retirement home?
We welcome any person aged 55 years and over to live at Abbeyfield - whether you want to downsize, simply want to live in companionship with others, or no longer feel able to continue living in your own home.
What will my room be like?
The house accommodates nine residential studio style rooms including one with a separate sitting room. Three rooms sit on the ground floor, with the others upstairs which can be accessed by stair lifts if needed. Most rooms are en-suite and all rooms come unfurnished, allowing you to bring your own furniture and make the space a real home from home.
