Babergh Council is an incredibly unprofessional entity. Those in senior positions especially within the business rates department are inexperienced and poorly trained in customer service. Looking at other reviews validates a huge cause for concern.

Pay taxes through my a**e and you can’t collect a bin because its a little heavy or the lid isn’t quite shut. Pathetic.

Shet. They sent round plumbers to update bathroom and instead they left the job half completed and plumber put his foot through the kitchen ceiling. Now the new toilet has overflown soaking towels, laundry bins and toiletries. Kitchen …

I have a blocked sink, was told I would have to get a plumber out myself, it’s my responsibility. Plumber has told me he will have to cut out all the pipe work to see where the blockage is….thought repairs would be covered by the rent I pay?!

I had to call up to stop my council tax payments as my situation does not make it easy to do this online. I got through to somebody within 10 minutes and they were very helpful and polite.

Waste collection nothing short of hopeless as I have to phone in once a month for missed collection and e mail form never works.
