Budget in name, budget in nature. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a terrible experience with an energy company. Who designed the website? Family member? Student offering to do it at a discount price? Stock imagery not sized correctly, inconsistent layout, poor top-up experience. And that’s when it works!
They are only a company you pay a bill to. If you have been given a rate and it increases then they have broken their terms and are allowed to move to another company. All companies put their prices up but they are still cheaper. They send electronic bills to save on paper. What’s not to like.

Very competetive fixed rate per unit that wont go up on me without me knowing unlike my last electricty supplier.The switch over was done in minutes with a very helpful and polite rep that works for Budget who called to my house… 5*
Months and months it took for them to arrange monthly direct debit. I cannot yet see a bill or any usage data. The app is almost a waste of time. Not good.
Never had a problem, always was able to top up online. The app can be hit and miss sometimes.

I haven’t had an issue since I joined back in 2014. The app is a lifesaver though, that ‘lend me a fiver’ idea is genius, if only PowerNI (my previous supplier) was as smart 🙂
