Write a ReviewA walk around the campus is a lovely way to while a few hours. Some of the architecture is gorgeous and there’s a lovely little park in the middle of the main campus. Very close to the city centre yet very relaxed.
Cardiff City… oh oh , what an amazing place to be in😍😍… I have been in first time in 2015, I visited many other cities, but I decided to live in Cardiff and do my PhD at Cardiff University. People are so friendly, the atmosphere is …
The bioscience department are so lovely and accommodating to students. The university has so many different groups like student connect, student support set up to help with any query or problem you might have. Amazing experience!
Started my masters here in September and having a great time so far. Cardiff is a great city and the staff here are very nice and helpful. I’m excited for the year to continue
My partner did his Engineering degree here and loved it. Cardiff is cold and windy, but has many nice areas and great shopping. The university itself was good (according to him) but the awards ceremony long!
This is just my personal study experience may not comply to all current students or future students. The uni will never care about international students, especially the most headache visa issues, “zero sympathy”! I am still a registered …
Great place to study and research as a PhD student! It’ll be better to lift the entry requirement so that the ranking will be higher.
Go here if you want Scabies. Talygarn campus to be exact. Money back and apology needed but not yet achieved.
Used the council chamber for a work function. The room was too hot, the chairs were uncomfortable. But the surroundings were pleasant and the staff were nice.
Apart from being very grubby, particularly the main building. I found the campus and it’s students very friendly and positive. The Student Union is an excellent area with bar, function space and study pods.
International student don’t choose this university because here most of the teachers are racists and also they don’t care about us. Once you paid the full fees that’s all everything is over. All they need is our money so international students please don’t join Cardiff University it’s my humble request 🙏. …
Best experience I ever had. I studied MSc Business strategy and entrepreneurship course in 2018.
It is very rich in culture
Cardiff feels like home. There’s so much to do here and you’re part of the community. The university offers loads of help and support too
Teachers spend lots of time on strike then covid came so there was another excuse not to teach. And the graduation ceremonies were an absolute mismanaged joke. Theyre very happy to take your money but show no commitment to student welfare (check out the first year dorms) A disgrace – like the state of the city.
Very cool and calm place!
Great university with variety of campus areas located in the Cathayd area.
Meaning close to town with good public transport links within Cardiff and up the vallies
Great building, many facilities and nice atmosphere. Amazing library.
Love Cardiff uni great supply of places to get lunch and great lecture halls, could do with more outside seating for students and more parking as the parking onsite is limited.
The best university, offered me so much flexibility, very good supervisors, I would not be able to get these opportunities/experiences in London universities, Where I also had admission, but decided to go to Cardiff University and my study there changed my life for good.
Having lived and worked in/around Brighton for most of my life I moved to Cardiff to work at the university and don’t regret the move for a second. The university harbours world leading research in neurological disorders now partnered with …
As a parent I am so disapointed that my eldest who attends Cardiff University has almost all lectures and seminars online and is only entitled to something like one 45min face to face session once a fortnight and even some of these are …
Terrible and pathetic university, cannot moderate the tone of communication with students… Because of this lowlife shameless University’s blunder a young student lost her precious life …. All students current and future should stay away …
Well organised opening day . Plenty of students & staff to direct you to the right places
This is a notable University with distinction. Availability of sufficient physical infrastructures with human resources is enough to speak volume about this citadel of learning. I live at a stone throw distance at Cathays Terrace to this University. A good heritage to Wales.
As an international student (paying international fees) I feel like I was totally ripped off. What a terrible value for your money. The classes are poorly organized and poorly run by teachers who don’t care about educating students. The …
Superb Russell Group University….world class research and facilities. Lecturers are phenomenal and friendly too .Great city centre location…excellent social scene around the university with a wide range of societies and clubs. Plus Phillip Schofield himself was a student here too back in the day!!!
I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience provided from Cardiff University. Enrolled for 2015-2016 programme and I am very satisfied with the overall experience. Good facilities, cultural diversity, as well as a rich academic environment. Strongly recommended.
The Chemistry course that I enrolled on was made more difficult by the egos of lecturers working there. Friends that I had on other courses didn’t seem to have this problem. Many staff working in the Chemistry building were at times …
Amazing university which has very helpful lecturers and staff, while providing multiple opportunities outside the classroom such as the Skills Development Service and the Doctoral Academy Programme. It also has one of the best and most active Student Unions in the UK!
My experience was positive, but it seems to have gone downhill and let students down since covid hit. Nice University, is it worth £9k a year? No, but tbf none of them are
Dropped off my daughter today at Tallybont North accommodation, didn’t let her know but….oh dear…..dire accommodation….filthy dirty….tiny room which was dirty too….campus should be ashamed
Massive place spread over large area
absolute disappointment. if I had the chance to go back on time . any university on earth would be a great alternative to Cardiff university. why is that?
1- very disengaged staff who gives no shit about you whatsoever …
Cardiff University seems to be a good citadel of learning for undergraduates and postgraduates courses. There seems to be a lot of restructuring both in terms of infrastructural and innovation going on and am sure the University will …
Love it enough to go back in september to study for my master’s here, after graduating with my BA in 2020. The one thing that really holds the University back is that the provision of student support, particularly for mental health, is far …
Not my favourite venue in Cardiff!
I studied here and it was, on the whole, a good university. Students were into drinking and partying more than studying but that’s pay for the course in the UK.
Great uni, had a really fun time looking around. The student who toured us around was really friendly and energetic. Staff seemed friendly and there are some awesome facilities available there!
Nightmare you need to allow at least 2hrs to find a parking space. Beware concourse complete disregard to covid with dirty tables and searching for gel. Best to wait outside
Students were asked to come in an collect ID cards, they were ready made up. They could have been mailed and avoided large numbers of students coming together when it wasn’t needed.
THINK COVID-19 and use the post, duh.
I studied here for two years and it was the worst experience of my life. Stay away from the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences. The lecturers are extremely unhelpful. They purposefully fail students and give students low marks with no …
Great uni for undergrad and postgrad studies, they are very supportive of your learning and have excellent courses both taught and research
In this moment is a bit empty because of covi but sometimes they have students there and can say is very attractive place for good picture of old buildings
Magnificent structure.
Do not ever have lunch at the canteen in the Main Building. It’s a rip-off!! Even if you work at uni, they charge you £4.50 for two small glamorgan sausages with a few chips and carrots. It’s unbelievable!! When I moved here 3 years ago, I thought the canteen was bad…but since the last year changes, it’s even worse…
Great location in the city centre. Nice atmosphere. Beautiful historic buildings
Cardiff University is a public research university in Cardiff, Wales. Founded in 1883 as the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire, it became one of the founding colleges of the University of Wales in 1893, and in 1997 …
Halestorm is the best band live that I have ever seen . The venue was very good.
Cardiff is a great place. I had my best research experience herr
Staff and security were great, The Stranglers and Ruts DC Were brilliant. Always a good place to go
Seen so many great bands here. New bar spaces are welcome addition 🙂
Hi I am Raj from Bangladesh (Asia). I want to apply for masters in this University. Can anyone tell me would I get part time jobs while reading in this university and will I get jobs after completing my studies?
I attended an academic conference. The conference was great but the location was not.
Cardiff University is a very good institution. I have learned a lot during my PhD here and have grown as an individual.
Nice venue but sadly too many rude ignorant people there.
Really great science labs and kind staff, it’s a shame students can’t have full access to then due to covid.
Great experience, unmatched facilities. Very proud to have studied at Cardiff University, one of the world’s best.
I can’t speak for the quality of the tuition but Cardiff itself is a great place and that’s all that really matters when you’re at uni.
This was in the park opposite. Lovely place 👍 …
Fantastic Open Day, really enjoyable experience!
can anybody share which one is best and cooperative teacher in Cardiff School of Engineering especially in ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time at university and so grateful to be able to work in the Students’ Union now and further the student experience.
Spent 5 years of my life studying at Cardiff. Great university in a great city.
Friendly, open atmosphere. Lots of parks and beautiful buildings.
A nice place to visit.
Love it❤…I want to study here..But I can’t afford it💔😔 …
Best University in UK because of their Environment and Staff
Not the quality of teaching I’d expected from a Russell group university
Loved Cardiff. Best year of my life. MBA batch of 2009.
Great educational establishment . Loads of courses with brilliant faculties and facilities!
As a mature student facilities and staff second to none my kind of town Cardiff is
Good Campus, all amenities.
I love Cardiff University and my heart touched Educations.
Confusing building with the several corridors and staircases but good facilities nonetheless
