A solicitor told us to not even bother applying for a deputyship order as this organisation treats deputies and vulnerable people so appallingly. Their disgraceful mishandling of child trust fund cases also demonstrates that the system is unfit for purpose.

I can only mirror the reviews here. This body can protect nobody effectively at all. It is clearly massively underfunded and should not be allowed to preside over important family decisions. There is no ability to contact anyone by phone …

Don’t bother phoning or sending an email to the Court. I’ve tried phoning the helpline dozens of times and each time it rings for 20 minutes before cutting off. I don’t believe it’s manned. My last email got a cut and paste reply after about 5 months.

Almost 3 years (and still counting) waiting for this failed organization to grant a deputyship. Truly shocking – they need rebuilding from the ground up because this just isn’t a functional institution.

Shocking service! I applied over a year ago to be deputy for my disabled brother. Never had a call answered in this time, have just recieved a letter telling me that I was appointed deputy on 15th September 2022. Only gave 1 star as i couldn’t post this without any!

What an absolutely shambolic service if you can even call it that! Complete and utter disregard for families in difficult situations. Maybe it’s time for Panorama to pay the COP a visit and expose the truth and incompetencies! How can a government service be this bad😔 …

I would give no stars if I could. My sister and I applied for deputyship for my dad in NOVEMBER 2020! We are named in his will so should be a very straightforward case. Zero communication from them. Unable to get through to anyone on the …

I cannot understand how a government body of this nature is able to continue providing a service in such a poor manner. Any other service provider would not get away with providing such a poor level of service to their service users. They …

Extremely poor Service. I am aware that its incumbent on persons to ensure they have sorted out their affairs whilst still alive. However, you would still expect to be able to reach a satisfactory conclusion with the courts within 6 months …

If possible this organisation would be in negative stars. After making the application, following the long long process to the letter and completing huge number of forms, we received the the stamped COT1 within the timescale. Since then …
