I bought a faulty turntable from the store and on returning it the staff were amazing and really helpful. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the manager and this is clearly mirrored by all the staff. Really good experience and loads of choice in store. We’ll definitely return!

Almost made my day to find my old record shop still going! First visited here more than 40 yrs ago. Moved away from Cardiff and thought I’d heard HMV had closed down so was chuffed to find some great bargains, even on recent releases, and I had to restrict myself on the number of items bought. Great choice.

Love HMV. The Republic of Ireland doesn’t have these stores anymore but they are what they are.

Fave shop. Always great especially the bluray sales and 2 books for £6. One star knocked off as 2 for £40 on vinyl is hardly a sale!

I mainly come here to browse and purchase vinyl records. If you are looking for new releases they have you covered. If you are looking for something older or more niche you are better off ordering through their website as their click and collect is quick and easy.

This place is amazing!! Has a wide range of different genres, helpful staff and awesome service. I will admit that sometimes you may not find the CD or album you hoped for but there are plenty of others there to choose from. The pricing is fair and understandable. Overall a fantastic shop.

A really good store to but DVDs, CDs, and vinyl recalls. It has two floors , but as I have to use a wheelchair I am not ably to go up there?? I might be wrong but I have not seen a lift in the store. It’s still a good place to go in and find what you are looking for.

The latest films and music at fair prices, HOWEVER prices almost never get reduced by a significant amount for older stock. Staff can be helpful but have a bad case of “chatting”. The till upstairs is almost never manned and upstairs itself is beginning to look a bit ghostly with the bulk of staff preferring to work downstairs.

The staff in Cardiff HMV OMG!!!!! I have never been in another shop in Cardiff where the staff are so helpfull and knowledgeable, and if they cant answere your question will find someone who can, and not to much trouble to find an alternative item, 10/10.

Since the company’s rebranding a couple of years ago, I’ve noticed the customer service has dramatically improved. Out with the “I am cooler than you” demeanour, in with customer service advisors who are engaging & helpful. The layout inside makes it easy to find desired items along with a great vinyl section to boot!

Staff are lovely but they sometimes hold bands upstairs to play which is very difficult for me as I have sensory issues and seizures from stress. If I wanted to go to a loud gig I would pay for one.

Yes, they have great deals on sale items, I bought a pair of Sony ear pods a real bargain and super quality 🙂

Service is great, as usual. They couldn’t get a couple of foreign movies I wanted. It would be impossible for them to get everything. Otherwise, all of the other box sets and movies I wanted were there and lee than ebay. Yay!

Good hmv. Massive selection of Blu-rays and dvds. Which is what I went for. Good deals to be had. They stock most of the better collections and labels. One of the best large music stores in Cardiff. At the moment they are pushing 50’s & 60’s music, which I love. It’s like all the big stores if you look around there are deals to be had.

Great selection at good prices and friendly helpful staff. Not quite up there with the best indies but an essential and reassuring presence on the high street with prices very close to Amazon which is remarkable given overheads etc.
