I genuinely don’t have an issue with most people at HDC, they’re usually great. However, a letter was sent to my address with the wording “Did you know HDC only receive 8p for every pound of council tax?” …
Parking Services don’t seem to answer emails. I tried to re new my residents parking permit over the phone and was told I had to email them to which I had no response! I chased and chased, and in the interim my permit expired and I received …
Council taken over by Lib Dems so will enquire about accomodation in Rwanda
I called to speak to someone regarding an elderly relative who is moving into new accommodation in the area. I was put through to a lady named Kendra who was so rude and condescending that I couldn’t continue the call. I strongly advise a course in customer care or a role in which you don’t speak to the public.
If for whatever reason you decide to obtain summons for the magistrates court over council tax arrears (maybe some paperwork in the office to corrispond address and person is correct aside); could you actually turn up please. …
Street cleaning dept. Came when requested and did a brilliant job.
Ordered bins and paid £60 roughly 2 months ago still no sign of them, called the council 4 times and 3 times promised a call back but nothing. …
Very unfair with council tax (which is far overpriced for the standard of the area)!!! I moved from a rented place to another rented place around Horsham, had a month overlap in tenancies and have to pay a month of council tax for a place I …
Very disappointed that I was charged for a smaller recycling bin having found the larger one too difficult to get down my side access. My last council did not charge for any sized recycling bins! Also I have to dispose of the old bin myself …
We have waited over 6 weeks for a larger bin to be delivered. We called up HDC 2 weeks ago to be advised that it would be delivered within a few days and blamed COVID delays (like many seem to do opposed to adapting in the past 12 months). …
You get charged for council tax if your property is empty. Whilst I understand that this is discourage properties being left empty but if a relative has passed away and you are trying to sell the property or some other unfortunate …
Had assisted bin collection for years, due to health reasons.
My bins are now full to brim as haven’t been emptied again today or last collection. I thought was just catching up from Xmas. …
Always been great to me. And im talking about the council NOT Horsham like some stupid comments. I don’t think the council can help how a town looks. All these reviews have nothing to do with the actual building and people there. Idiots. …
I wish I could give more but having lived in the centre of Horsham for over 3 years now am unable to get a 2nd parking permit for zone A. My son gets parking tickets while he simply tries to get his 18 month old in from the car and find a …
Residents of Springfield Park will have to suffer 10 hours of rock music again this June as Horsham Council has no care for elderly residents who live opposite the park. Despite contacting local councillor its still going ahead and was told “the noise depends on which way the wind is blowing”
An awful Town to live in. Parking a nightmare. Roads atrocious. Council tax ridiculously high. And worst of all trying to speak to the Council themselves is a joke. Non of the departments you speak to has a clue about what you are talking about and all wants to pass your message on. Shame on you HDC
Changed office hours to focus on emails. Emailed 3 months ago and still have no reply. Shocking turnaround time.
Failure to protect vulnerable adults to the point where their incompetency and negligence becomes abuse of vulneravle adults and abuse of a position of trust.
A relative of mine was afforded no dignity or any respect and during a psychotic …
Extremely prejudice. Very conservative.
Council services plagued with power abusing staff that have little to no knowledge of their role or the government guidelines involved.
Helpful freindly voice on the end of the phone at the front desk. Emailed the people I needed to speak to who called me back and resolved my issue. Thank you
As with most of Horsham, rife with discrimination and prejudice. In this day and age it’s simply not acceptable.
Well run, organised council. One of the lowest council taxes in Sussex and lowest 25% nationally.
very poor services. I went to the council to have my issues fixed wanted to have a 1 to 1 conversion, instead I just got given a phone to call.
Always had a good experience dealing with Mr Skipper and the team at the licensing department. Good, reliable service.
I guess they’re all right it just depends which section of the council as some are more responsive than others.
Lovely town ruined by the parking in town centre car parks. expensive parking and they charge the disabled the same rates too.
Spoke to HDC today and they were very helpful and informative.
Waste & Refuge always very responsive and helpful. Saved me on many of occasions!
Not the best. Look elsewhere for customer service.
Never been able to speak to anyone on the phone, had to wait so long gave up trying. Will try emailing.
Long time waiting for decisions.
Takes generally an hour to get through to anyone, if you get through at all.
Fix the pot holes intead of pointless roadworks at broadbrige heath
Waited an eternity for someone to pick up the phone ….9.25 am , are they all late for work?
Have always been so helpful!
