The food was really nice and big portions. Very cheap too. The fizzy drink self service wasn’t working well the last couple of times I have been. Usually very busy in any given Sunday, but 28 May very quiet. Food on floor, not cleaned up around the tables. Staff are friendly, food is acceptable. When busy, the atmosphere is a little hectic, and noisy. Lots of children usually. More

Was busy and lacked staff on the clearing up front as the return section where near where we sat was overflowing. No great shakes…still.had room for a hotdog and an ice-cream on the way out ,🤣 …

We ate in the bistro area by the tills. The food was fine as you would expect but the tables were disgusting. Bags of other people’s food all over them, spilt drinks and sauce. Had to clear it all and find a spray to clean the table. Spray was next to an over flowing bin. Another patron had to do the same. More

Fantastic place as always, but the service crew behind the food bar could be more customer service focused. They were just monotonous and robotic asking ur food, then just dishing them on the plate carelessly. The gravy in my boy’s children’s meal was dripping from his dish. Went to IKEA for lunch and had Meatballs, with garden peas and mash with gravy and a bottle of mineral water.

Today’s visit under covid rules was extremely disappointing. Side salads were shocking, with wilted leaves which looked out of date. Food manager was tackled who blamed a failed delivery. Counter service for hot food was disjointed and very slow. I have visited previously and it has always been good. More

Never got to try the food as the serious attitude problem of one of the members of staff was enough to cancel my order. Absolutely shocking, if the lady hates her job that much maybe she should work elsewhere.

Big place to get around if someone finds It hard to walk. Its a very popular place as it has lots to buy from furniture to DIY so be prepared for big queues. There is a lovely cafe which sells things such as Swedish meatballs. More

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE should visit the IKEA food restaurant when the go to IKEA. Heck, even just to go there. The food is reasonably priced and delicious, the staff are helpful and friendly and it’s in IKEA, what more could you want?

Absoluty crazy, two huge queues and only 1 person on the till. Took ages getting around to counter. The skin on chips are geasy and very small portion. By the time you pay and sit down the food was tepid. I know it was half term but it wasn’t a good experience. More

We had a bacon roll, a breakfast, toast & 2 specialist coffees
The bacon and both coffees were cold coming out of the machine
Asked about it and was given 1 token to replace 1 coffee which also came out of the machine cold More

Never able to offer a complete breakfast, last time no hash brown so dishing out chips, this time no toast as someone forgot to defrost it the night before! They also need to re-open the little coffee shop, now they are using the main entrance again!

Well only one half of food hall open so long queue into collect food then longer queue to pay for food whilst it was going cold. If you like cold meatballs this is the place to go. More

No free refills any more, long queue into the restaurant, poorly managed queue for food, no enforcing of the one person per table to order rule. Free baby food was a good shout. Disappointed overall – bring back the free refills especially when we’re all having to wear masks in an already poorly ventilated store.

Had a road trip, 269 miles from Skipton to pick up a bookcase. Arrived 9.30 breakfast was well worth it and great value for money, staff really helpful.

Only our second time in IKEA Cardiff, normally we go to Warrington or Birmingham which are great. Took over an hour to get food despite a short queue and arriving deliberately early. No idea why, but it won’t do, not with a three hour drive ahead of us. Last time the restaurant was a shambles too; we probably won’t come here again.

Meatballs were excellent. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I will return to try the breakfast as thay were recommended by a group of walkers. Well done IKEA. More

Huge range of homewear, some items were low on stock but thats just due to the current circumstances, went for the restaurant mainly and was very happy 8 meatballs, mash and peas for £4. Lovely meal.

Packed – never go on a Sunday! Limited check out staff, queues for food & coffee too long & coffee not pleasant. The staff who were there very nice & willing to help.
