London Borough of Hackney Housing Services reviews

A continuously dreadful ‘service’. Absolutely staggering how much incorrect information they have given out over the years, and how much of my time they have wasted. Amazingly bad.

I paid my CT at the Christopher Addison House. An officer help me at the machine on the wall which was helpful. I will go there in the first week of every month incl Jan 2023 to complete my CT payment. There was not many people in the line …

Hackney Homes are thieves, Leave you in mouldy housing and out the price up for parking at extortionate rates. Thought under labour it would be okay but oh how I was wrong. Luxury buildings going up all around the borough while the working people line up for the food bank just next to it.

There is no accountability in Hackney Council.

Those huge shiny buildings are a huge waste of taxpayer’s money. Largely understaffed and overworked, crowded with people they cannot help and needless paperwork. Getting there and differentiating between the different subtypes of buildings …

Need to be housed and just sent an application form? Then wait at least 12 months to have it processed to get on the housing register and start bidding. It’s funny how that, in turn, keep the queues of people on the housing register relatively shorter. It looks good on statistics.

Unfortunately there’s no choice but you’re seriously unlucky if Hackney Council is your freeholder. Don’t know the meaning of the word urgent. Little or no organisation or accountability.

Gas services team. They do not come to appointments and tell lies that nobody was at home !!! Staf is rude! This team is a failure.
