Write a ReviewLovely hall with good acoustics. Seats in the stalls are just folding chairs and not comfortable, definitely need to be upgraded.
Great building with impressive features but poorly organised bar area with many people queue jumping and staff serving randomly which didn’t help also very small toilet facilities with queues into the hallways. Not really suitable for large events.
Went here for a late night event and had a great time. The drinks were expensive and there were long queues for the toilets but it was a really nice venue and we had a great time.
Had our Rock choir concert here. Was very impressed. Beautiful place.
Great acoustics, wonderful architecture, not very comfortable seating.
Stunning and more!
A lovely venue. Seats can be a bit uncomfortable. There often seem to be queues for the toilets and it can be a bit of a crush to get out – annoying if you’re trying to catch a particular bus! Acoustics are good but you can often hear the central heating / ventilation during quiet passages of music.
I echo a previous reviewers comments about the accoustics – they were good 😉 However, we sat in the balcony which has great views with banked seating. But boy were those seats hard. I can still feel the bruises the next day!
Very nice building, but toilets close to the hall closed and you need to wait in the cue for loo on the second floor. Two cabins for whole female audience is too little. Concert George Michael tribute Freedom’19 performed by Wayne Dilks was a treat! ❤
No reflection upon the building, attended a disappointing jobs fair looking to get quality people for minimum wages. When will organisations learn to value people appropriately? Paying a living wage, with prospects for development, will help ensure your people are loyal and working toward the future prosperity of the business.
Amazing venue and fantastic tech team! Thank you for having us!
A beautiful building with wonderful acoustics, but such uncomfortable seats.
I attended Reading Job Fair 2019. There are often job fairs in Reading either here or at the Hexagon. This place is much smaller than the Hexagon but still has some kind of atmosphere to the place, I am a little curious what typically goes on here and how often as it certainly isn’t plain.
What a shambles!! Arrived at 7 for a 7:30 show. Security searching bags at one si gle entrance eay. Foyer packed with people because the sound check revealed that the sound system was not working, revealed by an announcement after 20 …
Ornate venue, good accoustics, Reading Arts providing some good performers on the bill
Attended for the Rum and Reggae festival, loved the room, and the ornate ceiling
Enjoyed the EUCO concert, wonderful musicians. Lovely atmosphere.
Great venue…..probably better for music than stand up comedy though 😊 …
