It’s one of the best Universities in England with huge population of International Staff and Students. Have cutting edge equipments for R and D. Easily accessible for admission and high ratio of its students graduating successfully. …
Good for studying, working, and networking. It has good support for student, staff and community as well.
Great university campus and well maintained and planned university buildings. Fortunate to be a part of this campus.
lots of promises made to get you to join, very very few actually kept, total lack of support, mountains of bureaucracy, 9K a year for a single day in person and the rest online. All complaints are ignored, total lack of respect from upper …
Do not work for this organisation, they are so badly organised and inept its unreal! I worked for them for a year and half and they cannot organise anything properly, there are supposed to be schemes to help staff improve but it leads to …
Probably the worst academic experience of my life. Do not recommend this university to anyone. You will have much better chances of graduating and landing yourself a solid career by studying at another university. Communication is …
This University is a totally fraud. After receiving my unconditional offer letter, I paid 3000 GBP as initial deposit to secure my place in the MSc course and requested for CAS in September 2022 for Jan 2023 intake. Post that, I had not …
An awesome place of higher learning, module leaders are superb in their doings and the academic environment is topnotch. Awesome architectural structures to stimulate your artistic curiosity and the likes. The modules are designed to help …
Confusing layout with linked buildings that aren’t really that separate architecturally…. And let’s not get started on the lifts. Seems that their conference offering could and should be better contained, catering disappears at odd times, so unable to use purchased drinks vouchers…
This University is Awesome and is situated at the heart of the great city of Sheffield. Literally, 2mins walk from the Sheffield Train Station. …
Do NOT study Nursing at this University, you will spend years being lied to, bullied and extorted. There is 0 communication from any of the staff here, you’ll be waiting weeks for a reply to a simple question and probably won’t ever get a …
One of the best universities in UK. They have more facilities in lecture rooms, labs and library. Highly recommended.

Fantastic faculty and student facilities. Made amazing friends and have great memories with this university.
Im not too sure how it compares to other unis but it is super confusing to get around but there are a lot of study spaces.
“ZERO rating” but I can’t see the options lol..They want to decide the admission on criteria like experience 😂🤣 lol…and don’t want to really provide growth to people . keep going people don’t miss opportunity coming to you but you surely …

I am also studying at Sheffield Hallam University too and which is one of the best universities in the UK in terms of teaching and courses. As I have completed my foundations in Business And Management and it was a wonderful environment. …
Hallam university is big business in Sheffield not a education centre. It’s a money making and cashing up from poor students. Give priority to international students as they pay double the fee. Study level and material is old age. Not …
I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2011 with my BSc Degree. I studied here and lived in Sheffield for 4 years. It will be 4 years of my life i will never forget. Some great memories and the atmosphere was great. The University …
Renegaded on my brother’s university offer (illegally – UCAS confirmed this) and haven’t replied to his appeal within the time limit given (which is, again, illegal).
Very student friendly University with great lecturers. The University is racially balanced as there a large number of students from Africa, India and Pakistan. Wonderful place to study
A place where racism runs untethered. More attention is given to personal background of the students and staff than their education or professional qualifications
I did my Bachelor’s degree there. Having worked as a university professor for a decade (a different one), I can say that the level of education is just above average. It is overshadowed by the University of Sheffield. …
Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) is a large, public university located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. …
That was my university where I spent only 2 months for studying and then, unfortunately, I must go back to my home country for evacuating from the covid19 pandemic, I hope UK will overcome this obstacle and then I can be back ASAP.
Took my msc program after top up degree in year 2010. Lot of memories and experiences along with friends and lecturers which will never forget in my whole life. Will visit city of Sheffield and SHU again in future for sure. Thank you SHU.
Great atmosphere around the campus. Inclusiveness and diversity across people is admirable and worthy of note.
Sheffield Hallam University has a beautiful reputation in terms of teaching quality, student friendliness and academic support. The staff members are always eager to support the students in the best possible ways to excell in their …
Great location and university students are really helping here
Just was looking round the Uni and the lecture rooms are really big. I was in the main business building and there was a place to get something to eat on the second floor which was quite big. The staff where nice and helpful.
Pros:
– Very good university in terms of education quality. Lots of active …

Love the school’s modern structures and very easy access to Sheffield city Centre.
If is possible someone to help me with the application for the university and what documents I need. I live in Sheffield in the moment from short time and I don’t have friends yet. This is my email [email protected]
I will be happy to meet new people.
Sheffield is a beautiful place, they have good environment and nature makes it look better.
Why are you sending diplomas out second class mail then refusing to re-send replacements? …
Nice place quite compact. No much space on campus.
This wonderful school that hands out degrees like hot cakes!
If your not good in school, more interested in partying, or your generally lazy to do school work, but you still are needing to get a degree to get your parents …
Have been attending for several face to face session at Charles Street.
lots of covid measures in place, friendly and helpful staff, small cafe that’s usually well stocked.
I am an International student of Sheffield Hallam University. It is a student friendly university.
Avoid the business school if you can. Terrible learning experience. Staff have little knowledge about the latest academic literature or research methods.
As University campuses go sheffield is ahead in some respects and behind in others. A lot of old school architecture and thankfully not too much 1970s brutalist design. Surrounded by the hospital and two parks there isn’t really that much to do on campus.
June 12th 1978 The Human League has their first ever gig here, although at the time it was known as ‘Psalter Lane Art College’. So this makes the current university über-cool. 😁 With their reliance on technology and tape machines, the band …
A crappy university. Bad lectures. Faculty staff couldn’t really care less about the quality of education you’re getting. No motivation whatsoever and you feel like they’re only there to take your money and let you be off. Terrible two years.
Great to have a physical open day. Really important when your course has a practical element. COVID safe. Well done Hallam
A new campus is under construction on Paternoster Row, Sheffield, S2. The former Sheffield Science Park has been demolished to make way for new university facilities.

One word : Knowledge Applied
Anybody considering nursing at this university. Give your head a wobble. Absolute joke. Waste of time and money.
Went for my interview and audition for ‘Performance for Stage and Screen’. The staff are great, facilities are very good and I’m really looking forward to starting in September.
The teaching team is fair. However, non-academic support for students are really scarce. The student well-being team is hightly understaffed.
The university seriously devalues the students that attend, I fully regret rushing into my degree and signing on for this uni
Good university with lots of opportunities. Sadly I will not be attending again. Great facilities and near to beautiful contryside with lots of interesting wildlife and geographical features.
Amazing campus, all you need in one place, with easy access to shops like tesco and asda. Great useful library!
They cancelled my course in June due to a low number of applicants. They did not get around to telling me until September, and only after I emailed them.
It’s a citadel of learning with state of the art teaching equipment.
Sheffield as a city, is lovely.
Student noise absolutely of the scale from student houses on ecclesall rd. opposite Champs bar! All through lockdown and still continuing.SHU should be ashamed of them
Absolutely rubbish, I wouldn’t even call this a University. The students are immature small minded morons and the staff are as good as substitute teachers at a high school.
Lovely campus and the faculty is very experienced.. I had beautiful time and earned precious memories.
The lack of communication at this university is ridiculous, emailed multiple times and rang to get information about a course I was interested in and they didn’t get back to me. Appalling.
Great university, amazing teachers!
Great uni. Really good course options with placements to help find work after university.
Is this place good to complete automation, control and robotics for MSc ???
And will we get placed after masters???
Pls someone answer to my questions 😊

Needs to be more responsive and timely in correcting any deviation from route through a voice or tone to notify wrong turn or wrong direction. Thanks
Admin services are all utterly useless and negligent. Teaching is generally very good.
STRIVE FOR PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION!
AND PROGRESS ANYONE CAN GET BY STUDYING IN @SHEFFIELD HALLAM UNIVERSITY@
A nice and welcoming environment…..Great people as well
I’m here for the summer top up program. It’s a thousand times better than our college back in Malaysia.
Cantor building has a great gallery full of students work that’s switched around every so often
Fantastic university, the buildings look modern and are an fit perfectly into the Sheffield landscape.
Very Nice University. I really enjoy my degree there
Great university. Really impressed by the facilities and area.
