Write a ReviewI’ve only been here to take my son for swimming lessons but I would recommend. The lessons are fairly priced and the changing rooms are so much more clean than other pools we have used. Also the soft play is a good addition, although I would say the infants section is more for babies so there isn’t much for 2 and 3 years olds.
We took the grandsons in here for an hour to play in the soft play area. They made friends with other children, everyone got on OK and it filled an hour of the day. The soft area was small but not overly busy, not too boisterous, overall the boys enjoyed themselves.
Took my kids here swimming, and what a lovely place this is, Changing rooms were clean and tidy, pools were lovely and warm. Not overbooked either so plenty of space for children to have fun.
Excellent changing facilities for babies/family. Nice little cafe overlooking the pool so other family members can watch if they do not want to swim.
Went to watch the grandson during his swimming lesson only to find that they had installed a soft play area that has reduced the viewing to a few side windows that you can not get a proper view of the lessons in progress
Not happy with it now. The way they have put a play area in , there is a lot less room for parents / Grandparents to be able to watch their children swim , especially down in the big pool .
Safe, clean and well organised. Just enjoyed a family fun session with my daughter and grandsons.
I am a regular user of the gym facilities here and it caters for all types of workout. My only criticism is they could do with 2 more benches (as could any gym lol!!) But it would make sense given the amount of users of this equipment. Very friendly staff and great facilities. Can be busy at peak hours.
I swim here regularly and always find the pool and changing areas clean and accessible. …
My first time visiting the leisure center.
I went for an hours swim, ( wich incedently you need to book in advance by logging onto their website. …
Good size pools and gym. Staff nice, but shame the new check in system is hard to use the first time, as well as overcrowded swimming lessons til 6 on weekdays.
This was our first visit to Tewkesbury leisure centre and although no grotto or slide we were left very satisfied with how friendly and helpful the staff were.
The disabled facilities are excellent and all being well we will be frequenting on a regular basis.
Been a few times for family swimming on a morning and it’s always pretty efficient and clean.
Great value for money not too busy . Bright and clean . Kids loved it
It’s fine, but cascades had a slide and lots of cool features. This place is a bit bland by comparison.
Love it here. We come every week and use the training pool for my 3 year old. It’s lovely and clean
45 minutes for a session that cost almost £5pp. Small changing rooms. Cold showers and FREEZING pool not suitable for young children. Will not be returning. Miss the old centre with the slide. This one is just no good.
FREEZING! Bought my 3 year old and we couldn’t bare more than 10 minutes in there it was so cold. Blue lipped kids everywhere. Not great when you’re trying to encourage your child to learn to swim. I complained and was told because of the …
My first visit to this gym today.
Reception staff were polite and helpful. …
First visit to the centre. Family changing room we used was very dirty with mud all over the floor. A very strong smell of urine by the lockers which is not nice. Pool was ok, not as warm (smaller pool) as we hoped for a young baby to be in
Just wanted to say thanks to all the staff at Tewkesbury leisure centre in their support and attention to detail in making everything where possible safe for us to enjoy the leisure centre in this covid situation. The booking in system is …
Friendly staff, nice clean environment but often feels like the smaller pool is very cold.
Nice modern centre , two good sized pools , both warm , plus steam room and sauna
Very friendly gym can’t recommend highly enough
This is a great Leisure Centre. The staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities are excellent, with 2 lovely pools, gym and studio rooms for classes. Everything is clean and there is a warm seating area overlooking the pool, with a coffee shop serving good coffee and snacks. I can highly recommend it!
Good place for your children to learn to swim. Swimming instructor’s are very good.
There is a little canteen that dose not serve hot food but good for hot drinks …
Lovely friendly staff always at hand for help and advice. Nice clean facilities hot showers clean toilets what more can you ask for.
Just two little things that irritate me the public do not use the over shoes …
The facilities are very good. Lacks a swimming costume driver in changing rooms. Pool water is exception, very well looked after. Reception staff need some retraining and engagement work. I visited for swim and was told the pool was …
Pool is a nice size although a bit cold for my 2 year old. Shame only the 1 pool was open when we visited as I’m told the other one is warmer.
Staff always very helpful in all departments (the gym swimming pool area and reception) .Gym has ample space and good selection of equipment. Swimming pool plenty of changing rooms and great pool . Gym and swimming area kept very clean
On the face of it a lovely place, clean and professional. However how can a children’s training pool have no shallow end?! And worse it’s 0.9m . Sorry but it’s completely unsuitable for an advertised family or learning pool if Children are never able to stand or put their feet down.
Good for swimming and have a descent quality gym.
Shame they don’t have badminton, tennis or squash courts!
So welcoming. I go to the gym there & unlike a lot of other gyms you’re likely to be greeted by others as opposed to headphones on & head down.
Awful customer service by reception team. never acknowledge you, never seem to know what they are doing and look a complete mess . My daughter couldn’t make the 16:30 swimming lesson and asked if she could attend the 17:00 as spaces …
The pool was decent enough. The staff on the other hand were not helpful in the slightest. The ‘manager’ on duty was rude, had a power trip, unhelpful and it seemed like her approach had rubbed off on the rest of the team. Would not return and purely down to the terrible manager… Who couldn’t manage anything.
Was not impressed with our last visit!! We have been going to Tewkesbury Leisure for a family swim for about the past 12-18months. When we started going we went on a Saturday afternoon not realising that they had inflatables in the main …
Bright, clean and lots to offer.
First visit, both pools good size. Nice and clean.
Returning to swimming after a Covid break.
Well done to Tewkesbury Leisure Centre for the superb way in which they are organising bookings…such a good system….and keeping us safe as we come in to …
Travelled to Tewkesbury (approx 25 miles) at the weekend with my two children (6 & 3) planning to use the old Cascades pool. Upon arriving, found it had closed and been replaced with a new complex. …
Its good but the joining fee is a ripoff, just a way to get an extra £25 for absolutely nothing
Absolutely unprofessional
I changed my booking and when I get there, they have some swimming competitions And I was unable to use the pool Nobody informs me so a waste my time and …
Great place to swim, shame there’s not a lot for kids. Also they don’t have any healthy food in cafe, fruit, vegan, ect.
Great sauna and steam room. Would’ve been 5 stars but cold shower isn’t very old and is a walk away. Dear manager; Put a good cold shower next to the sauna and it’s 5 stars!
Take the little one swimming here. It’s the better option for babies (under 6 months) as the pool is usually reasonably warm. …
We visited for the first time on the weekend just gone and I must say it is a very clean welcoming place staff was very polite and Lovely to talk to and the facilities were all very good plus the swimming pools were also a very good size …
Really nice leisure centre. Great pool and gym. Very modern. Would love to go more. Really helpful staff that make the time for their customers. Thank you very much
Good pool to take young children. Never seems overly busy. Clean and attentive staff. A little fun area and some water jets, pretty basic though.
Looks good but a bit messy to book to use swimming pool can’t see why you can’t just have walk in the to use pool
Visitor to area, went to gym only, £6.50 entry, staff friendly, range of equipment good, member of team in gym was very engaging. Changing facilities good. All in all a good choice for a visitor. There is a swimming pool too.
Pools are good, decent staff, but I think one of those playskim thingies made out of too much plastic. Could make you bleed or make the skin off.
Also in fact there should be plug cover as there’s the free 1g plug socket near …
Always enjoyable coming over to Tewkesbury to swim.
I swam at Cascades for nearly 20 years & the new centre has excellent facilities, except for the loss of one lane which exacerbates the lane swimming problem. The medium lane is not organised, with very slow swimmers holding up medium lane …
Half of the time you cannot get in as machines will not let you swipe. More training needed for staff and computers. One of the swimming teachers shouts too much at kids.
The swimming pool had wet water in it, brilliant!
i wealy lik going swiming 🏊🏊🏊 …
Very small pools, no room for family swim. Both very shallow. Also very limited time in pool if its busy, as little as 30 minutes.
Some of the older staff are rude on the front desk (try to avoid them). Facilities are adequate. Swimming pool can get very busy.
Good leisure centre, great variety of classes, great teachers and the pool is nice and clean.
Brilliant afternoon swimming with my granddaughter. Covid friendly. Clean. Good value for money.
One hour will be great cos 45 minutes is not enough other ways I would definitely recommend 👌 …
Nice place to go and so much better than Cascades. If you’re going to the pool bring your own water on poolside, there’s no drinking water.
Good facilities and staff are always nice. Shame the instructors change so frequently. It spoils continuity of service.
Great little pool. Lovely warm and clean.
New swimming pool and gym. Facilities are good but one needs to study time tables for activities. Play times and activities for children over 5 limited unless doing Lane swimming.
Pleasantly surprised- facilities nice and clean, baby pool nice and warm, has a couple of Showers/taps and water spouts at side of baby pool for little ones to play with
It’s ok. Could be a little better organized but given the current situation (Covid) we shall see how things progress.
Great facilities, friendly staff have always been able to park. Kids under 8 swim free of change and adults are only £4 so great value
Very clean ,good sized pool. Helpful staff.
Nice leisure centre with two pools, mums, dad’s and babies pool, plenty of lifeguards on standby, coffee shop and many other exercise options to try
Nice pool, it’s just a shame the membership isn’t a little cheaper as I only wanted to swim once a week but it isn’t worth being a member to go that often.
Modern leisure centre and friendly staff – attended the naturist swim run by Severn Vale Swimming Club.
Staff always willing to help and accommodate. Facilities always clean, great variety of classes on offer
Nice and clean swimming pool, a very nice place that is also organised properly to support customers in their daily activity at the center
Great leisure centre , good social distancing and sanitizing feel very safe there, and fantastic staff
Wonderful relaxing atmosphere great swim
Lovely clean gym with great classes
Nice and clean with helpfull staff
Only swim. This part of the facility is good but not brilliant. It gets very busy during lane sessions which is frustrating.
Nice gym on the outside but you pay more for what you get. Swimming pools are cold and staff can look disinterested.
