It is impossible to speak to ANYONE when contacting these people. They quite wrongly suppose their extremely annoying automated telephone system covers all requirements-it dosen’t! I thought it was impossible to contact these people by phone their website is even worse. Trying to find out what the council tax bands are and all their website tells me is the value of house not what they charge. Not exactly the most useful information.

There’s not much to say about this council. The decision making by the council on multiple subjects is disgraceful and out of touch with the people who are unlucky enough to be under them.

Would give no stars. Not possible to get through to them – nobody answering the phones, no response to emails. Council tax raised every year by 5% or more for no tangible improvement in services.

Review of VOWHDC Building Control: we lost the Completion Certificate for some building work we did. We emailed Building Control, and received a replacement within 24hrs (we had to pay for this, but it was worth every penny for the excellent service).
Can’t get through to anyone about my query on phone for 15 minutes pressing numbers trying to find the right department gave up wrote this I am now going to write an old fashioned letter it will probably be quicker! Very disappointed!
