We went to the swimming pool, the pool was clean and my child loved playing in the pool it wasn’t a busy day but pool was still full so kept bumping into people. There only showers are at the entrance to the pool and there are not enough for the amount of people in the pool.

Town centre located, clean and good size 2 swimming pools. A lot of classes for your choice.

If you ride a bike, you are not welcome here. Lazy people take parking spaces designated for bikes. Biggest offender parking there his Merc pick up truck on regular basis and staff turns blind eye on it. Shame on you.

Great place to get fit…loads of classes which is amazing

I use the swimming pool here on a weekly basis.
I’m sure they get to a certain time and make the water slightly cooler, whether that is to encourage more swimming to warm you up or to get out nobody knows.
The steam room is currently working but the sauna has been down for a while

Lacking a few machines but otherwise really good

We use the swimming lessons, would highly recommend as everything Is structured well and you can watch as your child progresses not only pool side in the viewing platforms but via an app which tells you how they are doing on a weekly basis.

They run many classes for fitness, are referbishing the gym. And have a very good swimming pool. Plenty of parking space. And I have found the instructors first class. I have been going to Waendel for many years,and it has not dropped it’s standards at all. Still 1st class.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Floors could be cleaner in changing rooms and pool quite busy. Disappointed that one third was taken by lifeguard lessons.

Website is very glitchy, unable to book family swim always fully booked and unable to book for the following week. When called the phone line was told only available through the website wasn’t much help at all. Massive shame as went last year before covid and it was a nice place to swim.

The swimming teacher is appalling to deal with, she is rude and horrible at communicating. I don’t even know her name. Either communication between the leadership is appalling or she is just an exceptional rude person, either way we will not be returning and I would advise others to avoid.

Gym and facilities great, (4*) but usage times for sauna and steam room very poor, (0*) especially in the evenings and having to pay extra to use them. Why can’t there be a gym, sauna and steam room package (without the pool) and why can’t the sauna and steam be open all day ?????? It’s so frustrating.

Excellent variety of classes and great instructors / personal trainers. Receptionists and other staff are also very friendly. The pool is very nice and great idea to ban shoes on poolside.

Clean well priced although even the training pool seemed very cold today

Is a good gym and nice swimming pool, at the moment they don’t have the kids pool open. Also they need to improve the App sometimes is very difficult book spinning/cycling etc etc but still good value for the money.

The staff are friendly within the gym, however there are lots of busy periods which means you will be waiting for certain equipment

Pool and swim instructors are generally great but the changing room floors are grim. Staff don’t challenge parents wearing outdoor shoes and the results show

Great 25m pool with sauna and steamroom facilities, the cleanest pool and changing rooms of all the pools I’ve visited in Northants (which is a fair few!). Fairly good prices. Gym facilities and various classes which I can’t comment on as I haven’t used.

I use the Waendel Leisure Centre most days. The staff are lovely and the newly refurbished gym is great. However, it feels like it’s being run on a shoestring budget since Places For People took over the running of the centre in 2015.

I enjoy coming here very much. The only reason i dont give it 5 stars is because sometimes people walk around in the changing rooms without putting feet covers on and no body says anything. This needs to be inforced

The swimming pool is very good for both teaching and gala competitions. The only downfall is there aren’t enough disabled parking spaces and there is nothing in place to enforce or challenge those who should not be parking in them.

The horrible customer service of the lady at the reception treats some people better, others worse. I do not know why this is the case. I met with this not the first time I am disappointed.

The Gym is kitted out with lots of excellent machines and free weights. My only gripe is there is not a leg curl machine but apart from that 5/5.

good exspericene they let me go for a week for free to try out the swimming pool. been many times always had great exsprience. There opening times are very good which is great for me due to my long working hours
