Wow! What an experience. My husband broke his hand. I took him down there. The staff from start to finish were so pleasant and friendly. And quick to be seen. In and out in less than 2 hours. Thank you all so much for your care.
Arrived at 09.00 was quickly seen by the triage nurse who was very good and friendly, said i needed to have an X-ray this was done within 15 minutes. After X-ray back to the triage nurse for results and left by 09.45, excellent service and nice staff.
Just want to say thank you to the nurses and staff at the Cumberland Centre. Went in yesterday with a suspected fracture after a fall and the staff could not have looked after us better. Yes, we were in there a long time but were triaged …
Turned up on a Saturday morning anticipating a long wait. Couldn’t be further from the truth. On arrival I was efficiently checked in by reception, then triaged, and finally seen in the same room by the clinician. This whole process took around 15 minutes total. Centre is an absolute credit to the NHS.
Very friendly ,professional staff from start to finish. I expected a long wait , but not as bad as I thought it would be A big thank you to an overstretched service 😊 …
Arrived early and was promptly assessed and treated with friendly ,professional and super quick surgery. Thankyou staff of Cumberland!
I cannot praise this place enough they are kind and helpful. The nurse I saw Louise was such a lovely person I felt really listened to unfortunately if my dr had taken the care she did last week my illness would have been cleared up and wouldn’t have any need to go to Cumberland what a pity there is not more Louise’s about
We visited today and received exceptional service. The staff were friendly, professional and supportive. If only this model could be applied to all Medical Centres person centred care would actually mean something.
I have just had forty surgical clips and two sutures removed at the Cumberland Center. Excellent service, very little waiting and very pleasant, helpful and supportive staff. They definitely deserve 5 stars.
I visited the Cumberland Centre today and cannot fault the service provided. The staff were very efficient throughout. In particular the two young ladies who assessed me were friendly and professional putting me at ease and explaining …

I have been treated with silver nitrate in one of my nostrils and the doctor did it so badly that also the skin between the nostril and the upper lip is now burned (black). It is so ugly and embarrassing! I spoke with a dermatologist and probably it will stay like that for 10 days or so… I am so disappointed.
I got good treatment with my leg. Such a kind doctor!!!
Ridiculous covid restrictions. Waiting outside with my 20 month old for over 3 hours whilst my 12 year old waits to be seen for a knee injury. The receptionist shouting she can’t hear me because of mask when talking to her then barks to put …
Couldn’t have been more impressed with the staff and overall cleanliness and efficiency. I was so apprehensive about going in and packed enough books and food to see me through a good 12 hours. …
Rude midwife support worker Hayley doing baby checks. Really needs more training.. How to deal with new parents and how to be more professional in her role.
Been there last week. i have painful infected toes and that clinical person told me that I don’t have infection and won’t give me antibiotics to treat it. Yesterday I have seen doctor and he told me I have infection and maybe the toe will be amputated. Don’t recommended Cumberland at all.

Polite, quick and professional, thanks to a great staff.
Went back twice because I was in agony and was told I didn’t meet the criteria for an xray. 6 weeks later my doctor makes them give me an xray and it turns out I have a fracture. Absolute joke of a place.
Thank you ,thankyou. My wife and I fetched up on your door 27 12 21. She had burned her leg with hot oil, we had not even sat down the nurse called her name. Many questions later the bandages were off and we were seen by the nurse, photos …

Attended yesterday evening, all staff were polite, helpful and professional, treatment was explained carefully. Although busy, the wait was not too bad at all. So many thanks.
After being sat with my partner a brash small tubby chap came in and bullhorned all non patients to leave ( after having a look around there was plenty of room and after looking at there guidelines they hadn’t breached any safety protocols) …
I received an excellent, professional and friendly service from the Cumberland Minor Injuries Department. Staff gave all of us in the waiting area frequent, detailed updates on delays caused by a computer system problem. This good …

This is Sunday.I googled the centre at 7pm..The website says open until 9pm. I drove from Efford with my daughter who has been bitten by a dog.And it is closed at 6pm!!!! Update your website .Disgraceful.
Visited with broken ribs. Quick initial viewing. Overall service 1.5 hours.
Kind friendly nurses and staff. How surgeries should all be run.
Could have been a little quicker but still very acceptable.
Son had a head injury, split his head open, still bleeding when we got there, they refused to see him. (He’s 12) I would give it zero stars if I could.

Due to current circumstances my appointment was delayed for almost a year. The professional and caring attention given to me today from the greeting on the entrance system to the my leaving after the Microsuction was professional as well as being human. Thanks to all concerned.
Had a lovely nurse jo looking after me. Waited only 20 minutes to be seen. Everyone was friendly and professional. Care was of the highest level. What was an unpleasant experience sorted in under an hour. I am very greatful. Keep up the good work!
Don’t know who the receptionist was this evening, but what a rude, non people skilled person.
Thought that you (NHS) would send someone as incompetent at people skills, would send on more than one training course. Or maybe an anger management course.
1 hour wait was over 3 hours.
Kept being told they are seeing quick easy patients with small cuts etc as they can get them out quickly and this is pushing my back in the que. …
I am staggered by the incompetence of the administration staff at this centre. I have been left for the 3rd time with no medication after requesting my repeat prescription through them because they sent the prescription to the wrong …

No wait times available online due to technical issues, so took a chance. Arrived only to be told it’ll be a 4 hour wait, but the person ahead of me and the person behind it’ll be about an hour or so. Advised not to wait that long due to …
Receptionist on arrival was brilliant, checked what was best for me. I saw a lovely nurse called Wendy who couldn’t have been more understanding and helpful. Thanks to everyone I saw on Saturday.
The nurses and other staff are very friendly. The Cumberland Centre is suitable for minor injuries which would otherwise increase the waiting times at Derriford. It’s a calmer atmosphere than Derriford. You can also have routine X-Rays scheduled here so that you don’t have to brave parking at Derriford.
Where outside the cumberland centre when my daughter got cought short. The cumberland centre would not let us in saying they were not a public toilet. My daughter had an accident in the carpark as i was taking her to the next building who …
Nurse laughed when telling my problems, left immediately
Went through the queue just to learn that they cannot consult on the issue (minor bump). Then got threats from staff. Better to go straight to Derriford Hospital a&e

Come in at 9.50am sign says 3 hour wait, it’s now been over 3 hours just ask reception why other people are being seen before me when they walked in after me, reception rude as hell kept my mouth shut as my foot needs seeing to be told another hour to be seen so over 4 and half hours waiting props need an xray, hate this place.

I’m sure they provide a good service but they had no doctors or nurses who could provide a prescription, just told us to call 111.
Very helpful and friendly staff and with little wait, was xray’d within half hour of being there where as derriford just told me they wont do it and sent me home (had a hematoma in my leg)
Treated with great care and respect. I cannot thank the staff enough for their thoroughness
