Urology/ urodynamics
Truly an awful department from my experience, even a complaint – with the explicite aim of improving patient experience was essentially ignored. Any system that does not listen to complaints and comments – both good and bad, simply cannot learn from them and nothing can improve. Medical staff ought to know that they are not treating condions, but patients with conditions. My expereince of urology is that they are doing both very badly -( apologies to the staff who do not fall into this category, but they will never know, if there is not proper quality control), or the conscious attempt by PALS to cover up incompetence. Every organisation needs quality control, Southmead Urology appears to disputute this. Defintely a zero star rating. so much harm can be done by disrespectful medical behaviour. Once again apologies to the staff who do respect patients – they will know who they are and they will also know who I am talking about.
This is the worst hospital I’ve ever been in if I could give a zero I would mess up with meds bell ringing for up to 45 minites if rung lied to continually errors with all aspects of care awful place odd one or two staff ok the rest need …

Ward 33A astoundingly great service. My huge thanks to all of the team in my hour of need.
Having visited a considerable number of NHS locations whilst being immensely impressed by the vast majority, I must say that Southmead Hospital truly defines the most distinguished echelon of medical expertise and architectural prestige. …
I am currently a patient on ward 7b after major abdominal surgery last Friday. If you come here after your surgery you have nothing to fear regarding your care. The care here has been beyond exceptional at every level. Happy, friendly …
Modern well laid out hospital. Facilities include 2 coffee shops and Costcutter store.
Plenty of volunteers on hand to give people directions.
