Write a ReviewVisited T20. Bag search on entry was very quick. Sat in the sharks stand in row which was in the shade and became very cold. Asked a steward if we could move the other side of the grounds where we sat in the sun. The view was perfect and …
Great location for a concert, lots of amenities on site. Did not try parking just walked down. Easy to navigate to find toilets.
Easy to leave once concert was over. Well staffed who where helpful and friendly. Food and drink prices were the usual hugely high £12 for a gin.
It feels a bit like a halfway house between the ramshackleness of Grace Road and the over-developed Oval. I sat in the Pavilion and was the youngest person in the room by about 25 years. I’m 53. …
My first visit. Sat in the Sharks Stand for a while. Good views. Then sat opposite on the grassed area where the atmosphere was better with lots of friend groups. Staff were friendly too.
Really nice ground, staff were welcoming and watching the game from a grass bank on a bench was bliss , just one thing Sussex CCC can you put more signs from the station to the ground please, cheers
Awesome place great atmosphere and lovely to watch the Cricket
It’s not Lords or the MCG but the crowd are a sporting lot and the facilities are more than adequate for County Cricket. They even have sun cream dispensers dotted around the ground. I paid a bit extra to sit in the pavilion in the shade. …
A great way to enjoy a Spring morning in the Sussex sunshine. If you want a relaxing day by the seaside, this should be on your list.
Was here to watch T20 cricket. Had a great evening. Not packed out but still a good crowd.
Great cricket stadium, Up the Sharks! 🦈 …
The ground is located in the beautiful see side town called Hove. It is the Sussex county ground with multiple entrances and surrounded by residential areas. So from outside, it is hard to say that there is a cricket ground inside. …
Great afternoon watching the Sussex vs Worcestershire County cricket match on Hospitality Day 2023 from Cow Corner
Absolutely great day, weather was fab and the cricket was even better.
Really nice stadium, well maintained and even got to play a little game on the pitch ourselves after the pros had finished!
Lovely ground seating is ok staff very friendly the only downside is except for county matches can’t take food drink in ground and prices are extortionate not family friendly but still a great experience
Great evening of cricket from the CTS corporate box!
We attended the Rod Stewart concert last Friday. Excellent organisation and Rod as good as usual. Lovely evening regards weather but the show had to end at 9pm….no doubt some Hove council directive.
Good afternoon in the sun watching a bit of cricket, clean toilets, food and drink options ok.
Great venue in Brighton/Hove. Beautiful day, and great place to see a show or of course watch a cricket match.
Sussex won their opening county game for the first time since 2015 so it was great
Intimate cricket ground with more than enough facilities to ensure you have a good experience.
Nice ground easy access and nice choice of beers and food
Great venue for a concert, very well managed
Great place for watching cricket. Good views all around the ground, good bars (though a little expensive) & good food options. The staff have always been very friendly when we go & it’s always a good day out
Went for Rod Stewart concert. It was very well organized and I really enjoyed the music. Lucky people living around.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching county cricket (T20) here, with workmates!
Had a blast here on a stag do, nice little ground with good atmosphere mainly due to us!
I’ve attended a number of corporate events here and the food and service has always been fab.
A great evening, went to see Michael Bublé. Very well organised, plenty of space inside the ground. I’d seen capacity stated as 6000, guessing that’s for cricket as he said it was 15600 for his show! Food was very expensive for very greasy …
Fantastic arena with great facilities and atmosphere. Pricey for food and drink. Who doesn’t enjoy sitting in the sun watching cricket with a pint of Harvey’s. Very easy to get to by public transport
Good stadium, with great family atmosphere. Lots of litter bins, and good cleaning team, but no recycling bins. Very naughty in this Green age. Please sort this Sussex CCC.
Came here for a Vitality Blast game Sussex Vs Gloucs. We had tickets in Cow Corner. 3 course meal was alright. I couldn’t remember too much of it though as it was a free bar and they had Harvey’s on. Good times
A proper Cricket ground not a stadium in the traditional way
Watched elton john live on Sunday
great grounds and organisation by staff
Hardly No queing to get a drink …
Love this good old cricket ground. Friendly staff.. Good seating areas. Lager is reasonably priced. Plenty of food purchase ootions. Always a good atmosphere here
There foe bubl’e and it was great plenty of loos and nice staff in my opinion it needed many many more bar & food outlets for the amount of people
Attending and they do know ticket sales …
Har a meeting in the long room very well looked after
Went here for a business meeting. Facilities were good, lunch and afternoon tea was good. Bar afterwards was good too. Nice location, was just missing a cricket match in the background!
The home of Sussex County Cricket Club. Well worth a visit in the Summer.
Good few days by the sea watching cricket & a Derbyshire win what more could you ask for. Deck chairs the slope from the Cromwell road then down to cow corner. Great ground pity that the cricketers pub gone. Hove station just a 10min walk buses drop off outside on Cromwell Road from Brighton.
I had a great time here with my Daughter Nina. Everyone was so friendly and it was a great day out. Will definitely come back
Very friendly people and a charmingly undeveloped cricket ground. Very few refreshment stands and no shade or shelter. Surprisingly unpretentious really.
If you love county cricket, you won’t do better than visiting Sussex’s main ground. Wonderful atmosphere for day and night matches. Always a knowledgeable crowd and a lovely old style pavilion. Excellent facilities including disabled. The stewards are always most helpful.
Thoroughly enjoyed the visit, Attended the Lionel Richie Concert. Facilities were Very Good and Accessible, Bar Staff were working flat out, but still Friendly and Helpful and Very Courteous. Audience Control Staff were Friendly and Helpful. Wheelchair Access was Good. We Really Enjoyed the Visit.
Went to see Elton John here, a great venue, very well organised. Drink prices are what you would expect for a music performance. Only part that let it down was a member of security had a God complex and was downright rude to people he was speaking to.
Lovely evening to watch a late summer 20/20 fixture. Good views from most parts of the ground. Unallocated/unreserved seating in some areas is always likely to cause angst (we encountered a grandad who said the whole row of seats beyond him …
Beautiful Cricket Ground. Plus The Event Rod Stewart. Concert was Fabulous. Thoroughly Enjoyed the Atmosphere. Staff could not be more helpful. Supported Band Johnny Mac and Spendures was Fabulous. I was over the Moon. Never forget the …
Took my son for a birthday day out. Bought members’ pavilion tickets & had an excellent time.
Great day out watching the womens ashes.
Smal ground, great atmosphere.
Great cricket venue with good food, Disabled pick up, drop off is an issue though as over zealous parking attendends won’t allow vehicles into venue without a lot of debate – including sponsor’s.
Saw Elton John last night , the seats we were given for myself and disabled lady were good , and would have been fine if not for the awful attitude of the security staff . Not being allowed to stand at a concert , never heard anything like …
Saw Elton John who was great. Literally got mugged off but the venue… they make you buy cups and say you can return them at the end for you money back. All the return points shut before the end which ended up costing me an extra 20 quid in plastic cups. Tried emailing the company with no reply.
Always a pleasure to be at Hove, even more so when the sun is beating down. Shame about the result!
Play abandoned for the day but ground looking superb. Staff very helpful and a pint went down very well after a long waisted journey.
Very enjoyable day at the cricket. Good view from either pavilion or stands. Quite reasonable refreshment outlets. Easy connection on no. 7 bus from Brighton station.
Saw Rod Stewart great concert. Don’t take any food or drink into the County Ground at concerts unless you want to put it in the bin at the entrance. Nothing allowed in accept an unopened bottle of sealed water.
One of the best county cricket grounds in the country. A nice way to spend a summers day.
Great place to watch cricket. Lovely friendly atmosphere
Visited for an England vs India T20. Excellent atmosphere, facilities and Covid measures. Signage leading to the ground and related details could be better…otherwise completely worth the trip, even for Londoners
Saw Elton John here. Was excellent
Nice venue but cold if you are sitting in the prevailing westerly wind, come evenings 😀 …
Easy to get to and we’ll prepared for the Avent. Only downside was arrangements for leaving after the show, everyone was forced to leave by the same exit. This was not only ridiculous and annoying, but also greatly increased the dangers of anything had happened.
Just went here to see a Rod Steward concert. Everything was well organised and it was a pleasure to be here. Good drinks available, it was clean and funny to see the surrounding flats enjoy the concert for free.
Christmas party venue, really good
Good overall, could have done with few more concession stands and toilets to cope with the number of people there.
Amazing venue for Micheal Bublé. Look forward to returning sometime for another concertxx
Great atmosphere and good facilities for a smaller cricket ground. Did run our of food at the interval so had to wait whilst they cooked more. Maybe not used to bigger crowds.
Excellent evening watching Sussex cricket at its best. Well organised, plenty of people to direct you, well spaced out seating.
Brilliant ground and staff, game today couldn’t have been closer, shame we lost. Would have been 5 🌟 if it wasn’t for Brenda, I thought my ears would start bleeding! …
Brilliant night watching Rod Stewart. The ground was well set out for concert better than Wembley or Twickenham. Staff were fantastic.
Went here for Lionel concert. Worst venue ever queues for bars were beyond belief didn’t even bother getting a drink. Absolute joke luckily Lionel was great.
Great venue for concerts and a great ground for the cricket
It’s a lovely ground but the facilities are very shabby. Catering poor & overpriced. Take your own… Great to see Sussex doing so well this season.
As always great atmosphere, safe event for the family and Sussex Sharks are on fire in the T20 league all I can say is a great night out with quality entertainment
Wow rod Stewart concert how good was he great
Nice place to sit and relax, cricket poor but expected at moment.
Back for the first T20 of the season after Covid. Stewards and organisation was excellent. Well done SCCC and all your team.
Enjoyed hospitality tickets food and service was excellent thanks for lovely day out
Great venue but drinks ridiculously priced. £13 for a jug of very watered down Pimms from Pimms tent. Disappointing to say the least
Ok for a work event.
