Changing rooms for the pool always smell of urine each week when I take my son swimming and are always freezing, but pool area is warm. Can’t comment on pool temp, son says the big pool is cold once entering, receptionists and swim teachers are helpful and friendly.

I visit several times a week. The facilities are good although things seem to stay broken for long periods sometimes. Staff are friendly and helpful too. The main issue I have is parking as there are often events held here which makes parking really limited at times

Pools rather on the cool side and changing rooms require a little more housekeeping.

The Gym is small and absolutely full of people most of the time. For whoever is planning on doing free weight strength training during late afternoons that’s a no, a big one.

Attended an open dog show at the bowling Hall, apart from the parking, which was a pain, it was excellent. Great staff and good amount of room.

What a great leisure centre. We held a swimming party for 30+ 10 year olds and it couldn’t have run smoother. Great staff and a real friendly vibe. Will definitely head back here for future sport and party events!!

Went to the Antiques Fair. Not many stalls as it was the first after covid, but I was very impressed with the leisure centre, it all Looked very clean. The cafe had a variety of drinks and snacks. Car parking was a blessing as you don’t have to pay.

I like the Alfreton leisure centre. It is just a simple place.

Our son swims for Belper marlin and we go to the centre on a Friday and when there is competitions on. The place itself is clean and welcoming and the staff there most are volunteers are incredible training the kids.

I’ve took my 14 month old son here since he was 4 months old. The staff are amazing and always communicate with him, the parking is also free when you go swimming which is really helpful. My son loves the parent and child swimming, he loves all the toys and swimming and also talking and playing with other children.

I did my first ever taste of Pilates with Heather on Thursday night and as someone who is not flexible or relaxed – the session worked wonders and she was an amazing teacher who provided variations of moves and encouraged you to take your time and work to what you can do!

Good swimming pool and changing facilities. Both are kept clean and well maintained. The swimming instructors are excellent and my daughter loves her weekly lessons. Plenty of parking which is free to those who use the leisure centre.

On several Sundays during the year the centre hosts an Antique Fair. Good range of antique stalls. Free parking. Good café with range of well presented fast foods. There’s also the usual range of sporting/ swimming activities.

I liked this place at the start but it has declined over time and they are not very helpful in a handful of matters. Courts are never prepared or organized right because their is always a kids group in them or the light aren’t on. Swimming pool of standard nice kids pool with some jets. I bring my smallest child here for the parent and toddler swim. I find the price and facilities good. My only gripe is the state of some of the toys in the pool, some watering cans have holes in the bottom and some swim floats look abit mouldy.

I have only used the swimming pool, which was clean throughout and has very good changing facilities, both village style and team rooms, and cubicles suitable for both individuals and families. There is plenty of parking on two sides, a nice little café with tables and chairs, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
