Write a ReviewHusband taken by ambulance early Bank Holiday morning. Dealt with quickly & efficiently. Was upstairs in bay within hour. All staff were kind & kept us informed with what was happening, given scan & painkillers & then diagnosed with kidney stones. Promptly given medication & advice. Less than 6hrs between 111 call & discharge
My wife spent 3 weeks under a & e then cardio care. All the staff were brilliant. The food was generally good, the hospital is very clean. All in all, we feel very lucky to have this facility in Basingstoke.
An excellent hospital with generally excellent staff.

Had to take my daughter on new years eve. Staff were so helpful, and professional. We were seen quickly with xray, bloods and a drip plus diagnosis all.being done within 4 hours. Thank you to all staff, doctors, nurses, and admin.
Amazing, quick seamless care today. From the A&E door to John Taylor team and X-ray all fab. Proud to be a nurse for 24 years in the NHS today.
Well done guys !
Just need a pay rise !! 🙏🏼🌟 …

I visited A&E with an eye problem. Charlotte (Nurse) was extremely competent at removing my contact lens which had become stuck in the corner of my eye. She gave clear advice and provided antibiotic eye ointment. Charlotte is a star!
Probably the quickest I have ever been through A&E. In and out within 2hours, probably closer to 1.5hours! Very professional, very friendly, very helpful, the gentleman that ‘fixed me’ went above and beyond and had a great sense of humour, …
The waiting area was over crowded, nurses and doctors especially were rude and didnt care about patient care at all.
They came round to take your bloods and pressure in-front of other patients, …

Visited yesterday and what a Service, impressive from entering to leaving. Professionalism coupled with friendliness. A credit to the the Hospital. Well done the DTC
Good quality care provider by BNHH. However, the waiting time is a hair puller. Also, some of the facilities are similar to third world countries. Filthy toilets with broken seats
Mum was in hospital And thy got hre dinner wrong not what she ordered and didn’t even give her the right thing and thy don’t have any food for people with health problems like diabetic and even egnord hre didn’t wash hre or even changed hre bed p
Always clean, very sympathetic and understanding. Not the most modern building or wards but staff make up for that with there caring nature.

Richard is the friendly voice on the other side of the phone when I have to confirm my CT scan every year. So friendly! As are the other staff members I have had the pleasure of being in contact with. They take the fear out of a stressful situation!
Compliments to the chef today. The steak and kidney pie is fantastic. Full of taste.
In patient today. …
Excellent care for nearly 58 years, cannot fault the place.
Shocking hospital. Only pressurises patients to leave . All they care is how to free the beds. How not to give any scans. Junior doctors are everywhere, walking around demotivated , sitting on their phones. Nurses also sit on their phones. …
Today I had colonoscopy. The team that was in made me feel welcome.
They were very supportive and kept me calm, relaxed.
Kind and caring. …

Most of the staff and facilities at this hospital were excellent. I’ve knocked off one star due to the sheer arrogance of some of the consultants. Do they have to go on a course to have any empathy battered out of them?
I am so grateful for an absolutely wonderful service from the very beginning up to very end of my treatment. Everyone at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital was really lovely, caring and wanted the very best for myself. Little gestures …

2 hours into waiting at A&E for my child to be looked at, they haven’t yet found blood pressure machine that is working. Absolutely shambles, staff working at turtle speed, no urgency. Rubbish everywhere! Shocking

Had an appointment with the Falls clinic on Tuesday was very anxious. However the staff nurse I first saw was so lovely and kind and made me feel better. Then the doctor also was so kind and informative. My appointment lasted nearly 2hours andfurther tests planned; I was very impressed and grateful.
Amazing staff. The wait very much depends on what time you arrive. Credit to the NHS!
I can’t believe I just watched as a woman who had been asked to attend her mother’s appointment as she is deaf was asked to leave the waiting area as it wasn’t really a good enough reason for her to be there
Worst experience in my life. Went to the hospital for burning pains, did a urine test and then told nothing found. i was told to come back if the problem continued. i went back as the pain was bad. I had another urine test nothing found. i …

When I walked into A&E I was shocked at the state of the building, setup and surroundings. The nurse was dismissive and verging on rude. Her questions were rapid with no time to think about the answers, which when youre unwell isnt easy. …
Attended A&E whilst my partner was an inpatient at the hospital. I was seen by doc within 1 hour, treated and out within 1.5 hours. Very happy with the treatment and advice given. Thank you so much Basingstoke A&E
Dr Singh was amazing. I had unknowingly to me been walking around for 3 days with a collapsed lung which was leaning over my heart. Ambulance crew failed to pick it up and said it was a virus strain but I kept passing out every time I bent …
Yes the wait was long, but where isn’t. The nurses and doctors are under great pressure so no wonder for delays.
Everyone was nice, but very busy. …
Visited again this evening, I tried yesterday but the place was packed with families attending one of their own. No room for many people that were unwell as space taken by “supporters” of an supposed unwell person. I went home rather than …
Candover Clinic
Well organised during covid-19. Second appointment I’ve had that has gone seamlessly and on time. Staff there have been working non stop for a year but the standards have never dropped. We have the best health care service and staff.
My dad had a heart attack at home was taken to the ED , he’s 80 years old and as no bed where free, he laid on a bed in a corridor for nearly 17 hours. Please tell me this isn’t standard practice… most of the staff are very helpful and do …

Walked into Emergency 20 minutes ago with 5 years old son with deep head injury. No sense of urgency at all. Been booked as any normal patient. Still waiting to be looked at by Nurse and then 5 hours for Doctor..
No body bothered to put anything to stop wound bleeding
Thank you to all the staff at Basingstoke hospital for all their help over the weekend. Your professionalism and kindness made an unpleasant weekend so much easier to deal with. Amazing work considering current circumstances within some areas of the hospital.
Just been to have a CT scan and can honestly say the nurses are 1 in a million. I have a needle phobia and when they said I would need a cannula I went into meltdown. They bent over backwards and found a numbing spray and with a bit soothing …

Nice staff that always try their best to help! The lady on the xray reception was so friendly and approachable and actually worried about the state of patients. I did not catch her name but thanks for your kind help, I really appreciate it …
Fantastic hospital and waiting times for A&E were very good. Very good team. Only downside is that the hospital is very old and confusing to navigate. The wheelchair accessibility is not good at all and the lifts are often down. There are not enough wheelchair parking spaces either.
Absolutely disgusted! My husband attended with unimaginable pain in his upper back radiating left shoulder and giving pins and needles with shooting pains down his left arm. We were seen by a male nurse extremely dismissive and arrogant. No …
Had my baby daughter delivered here on 11th June. Care and attention for her and just as importantly, my wife, was brilliant. Thanks to them I have another special person in my life. They’re a great bunch of people on the maternity unit
My mum had cataract surgery recently and the staff were fantastic and the consultant very informative and professional. Very efficient appointment system and minimal waiting time. Would be easier if follow up appointment could be at local hospital as so short

Fabulous staff in ED and in AAU. They checked out everything thoroughly and we so kind. Big shout out to both consultants and to Sam on AAU.
Have been to A&E here several times. Yes there is sometimes a wait but that’s to be expected and the staff are always top notch. The maternity unit is fantastic. A real credit to the NHS!
What a great bunch of people in Cardiac Dept, from all Doctord,Nurses, Services , nothing was to much trouble felt like home in many ways. Only downside im told by visitors is the car park being full most of the time.Special thanks to Helena Firth who cares above and beyond,a very special lady.
AAU staff are on the hole very professional and good. However, the odd ward sister and agency person nurse attetattitudes needs much to be desired. I’d like to add though for the most throw the staff are brilliant but need to have a little more time to get their ACU up and running properly which may take a little time.
Came in with my 11 week old son, absolutely fantastic service a true credit to the NHS!
Well looked after, great facilities and the best staff ever! Many thanks from the whole family to all those on G ward 👌 …
