Seem to have really gone downhill (they used to be good). You can’t cancel your ‘Automatic renewal’ on the website, it just takes you round and round in circles. Takes ages to do it on the phone. Also, never received a refund from the Mileage Moneyback scheme.
If you have any queries regarding anything, some directline staff over the phone seem short tempered and rude. They don’t offer good deals for long existing customers with no claim bonus. For any new drivers out there, I highly recommend you find a different car insurance company.

One of the worst company to have home insurance with. take your money and when it comes for help always trying to find the sneaky ways to decline the claims. Better to keep that money and save it in the bank and when need it use it.
Very happy with how Direct Line are dealing with my claim everyone I speak to seems to get things done. I also like how I never have to wait for long to speak to claims advisers on the phone. Just spoken to Zac and he was helpful.

Great culture and customer service
Terrible service on home emergency. Dishonest and difficult. Wasted hours – got no help and ended up having to sort out ourselves as so useless. Will never insure with direct line again. Avoid!!

Despite final payment being made for my policy, (after realising that they are the most expensive on the market) still continued to receive letters requesting payment be made – a simple check to see if the payment was made can help with this problem surely?
