Elmbridge Borough Council reviews

I am appalled by the staff. I called trying to change my address as I had recently moved. I provided all correct information necessary, but was treated with total disrespect and was repeatedly patronised. Completely unprofessional and inappropriate. But judging by the other reviews, I am honestly not surprised.

Shame really – I got through to where I needed to but treated in a way that a private company could not get away with. Phone hung up midway through a question. The operative couldn’t have been less interested if that had been their objective.

Unbelievably expensive council tax with no real benefits. Parks in my area haven’t been updated in over 15 years, bin collection only every other week & the wheelie bin we get are far smaller than any I’ve had before.

Communal bins for 18 flats not emptied after nearly a month! 12 calls and despite promises rubbish still there. It stinks and people have windows closed in 30 degrees heat. Flies. Quality, new looking council integrated with the police offices. Open planned and fresh looking, was a pleasure to visit.

I found this Council, professional, caring and giving me the opportunity to better myself, without making me feel uncomfortable.

A council that makes its website as difficult as possible to contact the relevant department so you just give up ….and a council that thinks it knows best ,and gives you what they want ..not vice versa..
