Write a ReviewLove that you are able to book for the pool only! Always tricky to find a gym that allows you pool only access. Wonderful facilities! Highly recommend.
Great pool for training. Had a fast lane for swimmers. Enjoy the sauna after swim. Approx £42 per month for adult membership – can add 2 children for free
On 05 Mar 23. I went for swimming with my boy. There was a old lady in the reception ignored me when I ask for a ticket for swimming pool. However, a man came after me and ask her about something and the reception lady help him nicely. This clearly shows that there is no equally treat to all the people in today’s world.
Not a gym review really, but…
We come here for the under 5 soft play and it is great. Some days are busier than others but our munchkin loves running around and playing with the toys
Look this place is cheap and cheerful and very much of a council experience but it gets the job done well. …
Yesterday I called reception at Farnham Leisure Centre. I asked if their baby pool was available for today drop ins today. We were told that it was open to the general public at 1130. …
We went to the soft play. Nice and cheap, but quite limited. Just in a big hall – a few soft shapes arranged around, some balance beams, a few ride ons, some toys and a bouncy castle. My daughter is 2, so too small for the bouncy castle, and she got bored and wanted to go home after less than an hour.
1st visit as a new member , was anxious at first but great gym , very friendly and helpful and enough equipment for cv or weight sessions – no complaints
Nice pool for swimming lengths. Water is the perfect temp. Normally not that busy. Followed by a sauna in the change rooms. Always leave feeling good.
Nice pool and spacious changing rooms – great for a family.
Love this place. Help us with the roller hockey every Sunday. Great staff too. Only compliant would be that the cafe shuts at 5 and we are there until 8 and no coffee available! Other than that, all is good.
Clean pool, generally quiet lane swimming! Very easy booking system
We mostly use the leisure centre for swimming. Staffs are friendly enough. The swimming pool especially the teaching pool always seems to have sand/dirt around the edges/corner of the pool. The pools are always on the colder sides both …
The layout is a little quirky, making navigating to the entrance a bit confusing but the pool is nice and staff pleasant for a decent price. The parking could be improved as their isn’t much and is cash or app only but is free on Sundays and bank holidays.
Decided to go for a lane swim session was not impressed when I wanted a de stress after work. There was 3 young boys jumping and messing around near the deep end… was not happy as they were splashing and nearly jumped on me the life guards …
Children’s swimming pool needs to be warmer but a great place for children
We had fun on a family fun time only thing that lets the swimming pool down is how dirty the changing rooms were quite disgusting dirty floors could do with a big clean and the scum that’s round the sides of the pool didn’t really want to touch the sides apart from that brilliant place to go.
Only went to donate blood. Had coffee and cake in the cafe while waiting for bus home.
Pre-wrapped muffin was stale and coffee 3/4 foam. Cost £5.40. Can’t comment on the facilities.
My child attends swimming lessons here. There is regular movement of teachers covering lessons – which is fine-ish, I guess. However I have a major issue with parents who leave their children’s clothes in changing rooms while their child …
Went lane swimming and the lanes were far too narrow, causing people to bump into each other, especially as it was very busy. To top it off, the swim tag failed to record my swim. The rest of the facilities are ok.
Very handy leisure centre. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Lot’s of activities are there. Possibility to hire for birthday parties. The organise soft play for little one’s. Like it.
Great place to exercise the staff are good at their jobs. This is good for me as getting over a heart attack, so have a cardio program tailored to me.
Soon to take membership up. This morning I couldn’t help capture this photo. In this photo I am trying to say that when you want a fresh start. A gym is a good place. Like this tree. It will grow in time in you.
The Centre is fully open. There are a few Covid-19 hand sanitisers in place but it is certainly now a lower priority. The gym still has hand sanitisers available as well as disinfectant sprays and paper tissue wipes. The staff are very …
Very disappointed went swimming tonight after a long hard day at work . It was clearly lane swimming which should have been relaxing , but no 3 kids were jumping in the pool while people were trying to swim shouting and generally being …
Amazing place and always such helpful staff. Thank you y’all!
Decent centre with a friendly atmosphere.
Gym gets a bit busy in the evenings and closes at 9pm on Friday nights. Swimming …
A reasonable pool complex, although the learner’s pool is a little bit dark and dingy and on last visit the changing rooms were a bit miserable. Covid measures are a little bit confusing and on our first visit since they reopened, things …
First time here & would definitely not recommend for Lane Swimming.
Very unclean (clumps of hair and dirt in pool & changing rooms) and no rules about children behaving inappropriately (screaming, spitting in water and splashing …
Very clean and a lovely atmosphere. Nearly every room has music playing from somewhere and it’s always pleasantly warm. All service has been consistently smooth and straightforward, and I’ve always enjoyed my visits. The gym has a huge …
Due to covid its gone down hill unable to swim unless u book and its a bit outdated ..but its OK of u just want to visit u local pool or gym…its in the town easy parking ..clean and staff are friendly ..hopefully once the regeneration is finished the council will update the rest of the town
Perfectly good place I only use gym and pool but plenty other things there. A decent set of equipment, free weights as well as plenty machines to use and good sized pool. The staff are helpful polite and if needed will always show you how use different equipment.
Decent Leisure centre, very good facilities and very friendly staff. I was staying for a couple of days and wanted to use a gym, I payed £8.20 for my gym session which considering the area I thought was quite reasonable. The gym was …
Lovely staff and always very clean
Good place, medium gym, not a bad array of equipment could be better. Would be nice if it was cleaned at night when they close rather than when they open at 6am. Big pet hate, no antibac spray to wipe equipment down when you move to the …
My son has 1-2-1 swimming lessons there, his birthday party recently and the staff are super friendly and the place overall is really clean.
I’ve used Farnham sports centre for years and it’s great! Amazing variety of classes, online booking, clean changing rooms, friendly and helpful staff and decent equipment. It’s not the most well equipped nor is it the swankiest sports centre but the price is reasonable and, for me, it’s performance is therefore above and beyond.
Outstanding in almost every way. Very up-to-date and excellent facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Some improvement needed to increase efficiency to prevent queues at the door. Telephone bookings with the front desk cause long queues at busy and non-busy times.
Brilliant gym, just a few gym types in there xD pool is OK, nothing special for younger kids (there is a toddler pool) but for adults just looking for lengths it’s perfect and clean. Big space for courts for badminton, basketball. There …
Very busy leisure centre with excellent activities and facilities for all ages…
Overall good standard. Squash courts need updating and the aircon in them does not work so extremely hot in summer. Pool is good and the kiddies learn to swim pool useful. …
Great local leisure centre with a large swimming pool and separate heated family pool. Plenty of family changing rooms with baby change facilities making life easier, along with communal showers. …
Very impressed helpful Staff, Clean Tidy, good signage. Lifeguard very understanding of my health issues and being disabled help was readily available when trying to get out of the pool even offered support to walk back to changing rooms.
Finding a gym that you can use as a non-member is great. They have all the facilities you need for a price that is affordable. I have been spinning for the last 3 weeks, £6.50 is reasonable for the session.
Pleasant and helpful staff. Use swimming pool and cafe weekly and all good. Centre itself just a bit dated.
Main pool is always pretty cold which im sure is ok if you’re doing lengths but not so great if you just want a splash about with the kids. Changing room and showers are adequate and the price is reasonable.
I’ve only used the swimming facilities – good sized pool with toddler pool; lots of change rooms and lockers available. Children’s swimming lessons here are very good. Pay and display car parking available (Sunday is free )
Terrible, dirty, no customer service whatsoever. My advice to folks who are planning to join the membership, please pay the extra pound and join a gym with better reputation and transparent expectation, with the gym transformation the …
Disregarding memberships, the leisure centre is overall fine. The changing rooms are mostly clean, the pool is reasonable in size and there are few major issues there. The changing rooms for the gym are nice and clean, with a basic sauna …
We use the leisure centre loads with the kids- swimming, fun time gym, rugby lessons, birthday parties. Staff are always welcoming and helpful. It has been well maintained and is used extensively by the community.
I always thought the pool to be rather dirty (floating pieces of excrement always present and never properly filtered). This has only be confirmed by recent visits to Surrey Heath Arena Leisure Centre in Camberley which is beautifully …
A friendly enough centre. The plus side is the varied selection of sports and activities. The minus side reception area could be made better extended opening times for the cafe. Or bring back the coffee machines.
Friendly local sports centre with a Gym, squash courts, indoor marked out courts, a 20m swimming pool and a teaching pool. The gym is well equipped and they do run sessions such as spin classes.
Very good pool, changing rooms always clean, much better than Aldershot indoor pool. Friendly staff. Decent cafe. Reasonably priced for a swim
Great facilities. Always good availability. Squash courts good ceiling height and lighting. Badminton the same. Lots and lots of changing facilities and a nice snack bar by reception.
Staff were friendly, however we only stayed for 5 minutes as the kids pool was freezing.
Just joined the gym, great range of classes, great tour of the place and explanation of fees and equipment, and also had a good first intro session. Very happy 🙂
Dance Fit class (visited 8th March)!!! Never again! Waste of money and precious time! Cannot understand how such an incompetent instructor can be working there. Also late to start class.
Enjoyed a lovely swim this morning – lanes but not busy in any of them. I hadn’t been for a long time but now I’m retired I have more time.
Nice leisure centre with good disabled access. Polite helpful staff. All sorts of sports and swimming as well as gym facility
Good for swimming, gym, classes. Very clean and staff is friendly.
Great pool, well maintained and looked after. Staffed well. A clean and safe environment for children.
Social distancing in gym seems to work. Didn’t like the exit above the swimming pool. When you’re exhausted, the last thing you want is a lungful of chlorine from the pool.
Arbutus place five times a week the classes are amazing the people who work in the gym are fantastic I really hope you were able to get to be in your life
Seems like a good enough leisure centre, a bit small in size, friendly staff. The skatepark just outside The leisure centre is great for the kids.
Nice comunity centre and great for kids. Learner pool was on the cold side for my toddler but other than that she loves it.
Always been a good place to go. Lots to offer and front desk always helpful. Could have improvment in some places but for the price yoy pay you get alot
Great swimming lessons. Changing rooms could do with a freshen up.
Would have liked a few more options in the gym. Lockers would be better with padlocks. Clean and nice venue though.
Good clean happy to cool off after the hot sun.
Visit the bowling center weekly which has gone down in my estimation badly. Lots of break downs in our league bowling. Ruins the night and nothing is any different the next week same problems.
Great facilities for children’s parties. Didn’t use the pool but café and viewing area good.
Joined the gym, so far helpful as I am visually impaired.
Great gym great staff lovely pool just wish the pool opebed a bit earlier for me. Staff arr fantastic
Easy to access car park, good gym and swimming pool however changing rooms could be cleaner
Good hall for activities, staff can be great or some can be a little rude. Good place to take kids though!
Good facilities and there is a cafe which is well stocked would recommend for going swiming or reglar gym work
Great place for the weekend swim!
Generally good with wide variety but needs upgradation for cardio machines or at least refurbishment of equipment.
Friendly staff and clean facilities. Worth checking the timetable as sometimes there’s events on that might prohibite opening for general public.
