Write a ReviewTerrible. I have used quite a few energy providers in my life. I choose by price and this time thought, green, must be nice. They took one full month’s payment on signing up, another one two weeks later, and a third four weeks after that. I …
I chose this provider after searching price comparison websites and it was the worst decision to enter into a contract with a provider that I ever made. Yes the prices were far higher than initially quoted but that is not even my issue. …
Do not use this company!
Overcharged me massively. I’m a young adult living in my home single.
Last year paying approx £20-£30 per month in total with e-on. Some months were …
Upset. I’m upset at these people. Received a bill of over £500 and so phoned them as I’d only been a customer for 6 months and my bills are usually less than £50pm and I had been paying by bank standing order. I queried and was told I would …
This is by far the worst customer experience I’ve ever seen.
After their systems had estimated a wrong reading for the gas, they send me a bill of £2491 for 1 single month! After one month and many email exchange, it …
This company is a disgrace. Happily took my money every month, then when I switched suppliers I received a bill of £159 I owed them apparently. They asked for this in one payment but I asked for it to be split over 3 months. They agreed to …
Literally, not worth the stress! I was happy when I first became I customer thinking i was doing something positive for the environment. Unfortunately, their complete incompetence and awful customer service spoils it completely! They have …
This is the worst energy supplier I have ever been with! I would never recommend this company.
When we first joined they disconnected the wrong address, and disconnected our …
If there was a zero rating I would give it. What a thoroughly disgusting energy company. I have been promised that a bill query for my mum would be sorted since last August 2020 and six months later they still have not investigated or …
Awful experience with this company. They messed up monthly payments, to which I had to set up a payment plan last year. I received a letter a year and a half later from a debt collector advising the bill hadn’t been settled. I contacted …
I’m actually a customer who is leaving, there were no issues during my time with Green Network Energy it’s purely a financial decision.
This review is more to highlight the brilliant customer service (billing …
Guaranteed to get you into debt – avoid at all costs. All previous energy companies I’ve used allow me to adjust direct debit so debt is not a problem. Not so with green energy. They set my DD low when I joined them. I’m now approaching …
I have recently moved supplier using the money saving expert process. I have to say the service here is terrible. From day one I have had issues. I was receiving emails stating I had cancelled my direct debit when I had not. I queried it …
Absolute scammers, I’m not even a customer of this company and had so much hassle. I moved into my flat last year and received a letter stating that I had to pay an amount for the period between the previous tenants moving out (who used …
We pay £80 a month for our electric, upload meter readings monthly as requested. However, I was told that after 3 months we would be contacted to re assess our direct debit so it would be reduced in accordance with how much energy I am …
Ok so they were one of the best companies to supply my energy. Bills were manageable and no problem with getting an answer to a query via email (I never called as I’d seen some terrible reviews on calling) However…….. and this part is …
Avoid avoid avoid this company is a total shambles. I had switched from these guys and unfortunately because I had moved into a new house and was not familiar with the meter had incorrectly entered a day time reading into a night time …
The worst energy company I have every been with! After being with them a year, I got my final bill which was a very high amount! I contacted them to sort out a monthly direct debit to pay it off and every month I have to ring them up to …
Took over £300 from my account when I was switching. Debit from account was in a different company name, their sister company, who refused to talk to me because they don’t serve domestic customers. Green Network energy refused to talk to me …
Quite easily the worst energy provider that I have ever used. Like others I was probably brought in by their lower prices and “green” claims but what I wasn’t told was that their customer services department is hands down useless. I had an …
We have been customers of GNE for some time having switched from one of the big four. I have to say our experience has been first rate. So much so we have just taken a new deal from them. We like the fact that they regularly review our …
Brilliant company!
Used this company for the first year when i bought my house, i was a bit worried at first as i hadn’t heard of them before but i had nothing to worry about! …
AVOID – They will steal your money
It might be easy to switch to them, but they will fleece you when you leave. …
Avoid this company at all costs!!
Well what a surprise when I come to review this company they have such a low …
Only been with them since July but had a debt collection letter already!!! Through an honest mistake I didn’t put the correct reference number ony standing order, I was given a £15 dunning fee. After some back and forth I sent a bank …
If I could give them no stars I would! I was told my bill would come out on 22nd but they took it 11 days early without telling me which put me into financial difficulty. I was told that I would have a refund at the time but it is two weeks …
Might be some confusion on this supplier. The initial payments are low at first. This maybe a mistake on there part on estimation of usage or the customer or to tease you to join them initially. If you are using more than they projected …
Absolutely hopeless. This is the worst energy company I have ever used – and I am in my sixties well versed in switching. If you are happy to spend half an hour each time you try to make contact with them, if you are happy when they promise …
Avoid like the plague as when you switch it becomes a nightmare. Charged me £15 because we cancelled our DD when we were switching and sent straight to a debt collection company. Sent me a bill for 2 different amounts that I queried and …
On 9th January 2021 I received a letter from them about an overdue payment on the account which was assigned to my property. The account has been assigned to the property I bought last year …
Original quoted payments increased over time to cover my “predicted” usage but it’s all worked out leaving me in credit in the end. I have decided to switch from them to another supplier (purely based on cost) and accidentally cancelled my …
Awful company. Customer service is none existent. They have charged me twice! For the same adress and same period of time. They set up two seperate accounts for my house (before I moved in) and when I went to settle the payments they …
Meter readings online do not work. Email meter readings, does not work.
Customer service say they will get back to you the same day, they dont. …
Please avoid this company at all costs. This is my very first negative review online, I had received bad service before but never to the point that could compare to the service, or lack of service received from this company. They have …
A complete shambles. We moved house and so switched energy supplier away from green energy network. We were sent a final bill which showed that our account was in credit to the tune of nearly £200…result…but wait, 6 months later we …
Do not join Green energy as they will increase your direct debits 2 months after you’ve joined. They increased mine from £26 a month to £88 and this isn’t a mistake it’s actually how they do business. Plus their customer service people are …
Recently left this supplier at the end of my contract, such is life. Had no problems whatsoever during supply over 18 months. Everything worked fine, bills as expected, no problems. They did make the switch to my new supplier easy so no …
This year will be my second year with this company. Last year I had no issues, but this year with my new traffic i have been very disappointed.
They gave me a new quote for the new traffic starting which I was happy with but …
Appalling. They took over eighteen months to do a first review of my monthly DD, despite me trying to increase it. Then landed me with a massive bill. Had an agreement plan in place to pay it off. They took additional payments out with out …
This may go up or down – end of last year £1000 in credit from D.debit- they hadn’t taken bills off this – despite readings given when asked. Continued to pay d.debit £84/month – did recent switch to new provider – Now due them money?? – …
Haven’t particularly had any issues directly with this energy supplier however their subcontractor “Magnum utilities” are fairly shocking. …
Absolutely terrible customer service – do not recommend! I have had an issue with my meter readings since April and the issue is still not resolved 7 months later. I have been told four times that a senior member of the team will be in …
They opened our gas readings with our previous meter which was changed under our last supplier. It has now been over a year and i still can’t put the correct gas meter readings online. …
Just not worth the hassle really. They changed my direct debit to over £200/month (about 4x what we were originally paying), which was ridiculous for 2 full time working adults. I was instructed by one of their consultants to cancel the …
You can only judge a company by how they react to a problem. I had a problem with a Blank meter so was unable to give readings They asked for a picture of the screen I sent this and then I had to phone them “You are right the screen is …
I have been a customer for a long time. I have moved house and passed on details for the tenants so there is no interruption to Green Network Energy receiving payment. They still charge an early exit fee even though there is only four …
Just moved into rented accommodation that uses this Company and the process of moving everything into my name has been awful. Difficult to get hold of on the phone, first time I spoke to them they wanted a copy of my passport and tenancy …
Brilliant company. Not only is it nice to know your energy is being sustainably sourced where possible, but their customer service assistants are all extremely helpful. Never had an issue with them and where technical issues have arrisen …
Green network energy are acting illegally and should be avoided at all costs. Twice now in the last 7 months they have told me I cannot reduce my direct debit even though I’m overpaying, the law states that the consumer can set a direct …
First ever google rating but they are so bad to deal with. Not had a bill for 9 months yet they keep taking what I know is too much from me on Direct debit. At present my account shows £1100 in credit yet despite many calls and emails they …
The fact the energy is green is the only good thing about this company. Switching to and from them has been fraught with difficulties. There were time restrictions regarding me notifying them of my move (they couldn’t take details 3 days …
Sadly I must leave a negative review, something I hardly even do, but I feel I must. …
Absolutely appalling company. It took about 5 hours of phone calls to sort out a very very simple problem. Ripped me off big time as well. Charged me nearly £400 for an empty property for 11 months! And when I had finalised the final bill …
Everything started off fine for the first 5-6 months, then all of a sudden our bill pretty much doubled with no warning. We contacted them, didn’t receive the “excellent customer care” that they promise, instead we were on hold for over an …
I’ve never had an issue with green network energy. If I am ever over using and owe money I simply make a one off payment to cover it. I give regular meter readings which is simple to do and I find ending and joining them easy. I’ve never had to contact customer services so I cannot comment on this element.
Changed my energy supplier from BG to GNE, everything seemed fine until 4 months in and received a bill from BG – the gas account had never transferred over even though I was paying a monthly direct debit for. After trying many times by …
Awful company.
Emailed us saying we owed money but these were going into our spam. We didn’t even know we were in arrears. Then they finally contacted us correctly by letter …
Absolutely DREADFUL customer services, vague, woolly, cannot deal with a complaint within 24hrs have to wait 10 working days! Very convenient seeing that this would be after payments have been taken from my bank and we would be well into a …
Good prices, but they don’t install smart meters, don’t read meters and persistently over estimate bills – which are only sent out every three months in any event. As a result our account ended up almost £400 in credit, based on overstated …
I did a U Switch comparison search as my deal was soon up with EDF This Green Energy Network came up with the best deal I signed up Thank God for the 14 day cooling off period Firstly I downloaded the APP signed into my account and found …
Absolutely atrocious company. Do not sign up to them. The cross-department communication and complaints process management is non-existent. I have called over 20 times, raised multiple complaints, received multiple commitments that my issue …
Only just joined them. Moved from Scottish Power as they never sorted out the tariff and just left me frustrated. They were also amazingly expensive. Can’t yet rate the service here except to say the transition was smooth, but the monthly …
Horrendous company – be warned they harass people. I have NEVER been a customer, and they have sent bills and threats of bailiffs to my house for 8 MONTHS for the previous house owner. They sent £600 bill a week after I lived there I …
Appalling customer service. Stubborn refusal to waive their £50 early exit fee when I moved home and they couldn’t supply my new house. Slow to respond to the various forms I had to fill in to leave them. Changed the rate I was being …
Horrendous treatment from this company. Tried to put our direct debit up 230% with no explanation. Turns out we had faulty meter, which they refuse to confirm even after engineer’s report. Nobody here knows what anybody else is doing. …
If I could give zero stars for the company I would. Worst utility company I have ever dealt with.
I send monthly meter readings & they ALWAYS send estimated bills. They re-issue …
I am finally writing on here as it seems this company spends more time responding to public reviews than caring for and responding to customers privately. I had a chilling conversation with someone yesterday after I lodged a complaint on …
The worst company I have ever dealt with! They are literally only after your money, couldn’t care less about customer service and their energy prices are sky high! I could not be happier to be done with them and move on to a better energy …
I recently Changed my supplier to Green Energy Network, from one of the major six suppliers. Normal routine is you are quoted a price, in my case lower than the one I already have. You get your first bill & oh look it’s higher than your …
I have been with Green Network Energy for about 3 years and very happy with service received. Changing now only because of slightly better price from E.on but would be happy to go back to Green in the future. They kept on top of any …
Been with this company for 12 months, just before changing over to GNE I had smart meters fitted, they have never recognised that I have a smart gas meter, never been able to submit meter readings, still looking into it now the contract is …
Absolutely rubbish have tried calling contact number numerous times & no one answers. When we moved across we stated we had smart meters but were not told these would no longer work. After emailing eventually got a reply 2 days later …
Cleaver energy boilers/ The Green Deal factory ltd, Keighley. I had my boiler installed 2 years, was a nightmare with external contractors, resulting in numerous calls to resolve it, fantastic response from John Broadbent. Every year I …
Very poor customer service response – I moved house and had to cancel a planned switch to green energy network. Notified them but they proceeded to take money from my account – no big deal initially until the promised refund did not happen. …
It takes a lot for me to leave a very bad review. I’ve recently left GNE as they have delayed responses to my chatline queries, I’ve been cut off speaking to lines abroad, my emails have still not had successful answers, I’ve been fobbed …
Wouldnt bother with these if your thinking of switching.
Poor online portal for managing account – unable to make card payments, only …
AVOID Having been in credit for 18 months [still am today by over £150 of my money], these incompetent people told me DD was increasing by £13PM from now for no reason. I appealed & received an email saying “that’s it nothing we can do” …
Highly unprofessional and untrustworthy staff. The company dealt with my switch very chaotically. I have spent hours on the phone to rectify misleading rates. Be careful when you have their Sales guys on the phone and do NOT trust a word …
Rubbish , undercharged me for a year without telling me so my bills were actually very expensive and could’ve got much cheaper elsewhere. Ended up with final bill at the end of the year of over a hundred pound with no explanation or warning …
Shambles of a company, I would not recommend GNE to anyone. They have repeatable demanded money from me without sending me any bills to how they got to what they are requesting. Several hours on calls to the customer service has got me …
