Write a ReviewReally hard to find your way inside, poor signage and no helping staff around. My letter said 3rd floor for x-ray, got there, was told by x-ray reception there was no x-ray on that floor, had to go to 1st floor. Arrived there, no-one to …
Went to A&E and doctors found my complex dermoid cyst, got surgery within a month. Doctors and nurses were caring, patient and knowledgeable. Facilities were spotless, couldn’t have been in better hands🙏🏽 …
I had an accident on February 2019 and was brought to this hospital. I was taken to the trauma ward, and treated immediately. I was here for about 4 weeks in total. The doctors and nurses were amazing. The service was above and beyond for …
My son 3 years old had pneumonia virus with 40 degrees and has 60 ml liquid in his right lung for few days and they couldn’t diagnose him and sent us home! Good that I didn’t lose my son and traveled to other country to got him cured right away!!
Abysmal. Unclean facilities, treatment rooms packed with boxes and hugely understaffed. Waiting for 5 hours with chest pain and still not been seen.
Had the worse patient service over the phone with front desk receptionist named Layla/Leila (works in Imperial) who was rude. I was polite, respectful and gentle but was given a know-it-all-attitude from her when she didn’t listen to my …
This hospital has gone down hill got to the hospital at 7pm. A still not seen by 12am.
All black people seem to be put to 1 side …
I attended an Endoscopy appointment at St Mary’s Hospital in London on Monday 17th April 2023. …
If I could give 0 i would. In 2014 I did give birth at St. Mary ALONE. I was 29 years old and they left me alone giving birth to my son. I did cut my self and touch my son’s head to get him out. I did lost consciousness as well and no one …
My appointment was amazing. Seen on time by lovely doctor all is well. The pharmacy on the other hand was chaotic understaffed with a system failure. I waited an hour to get my prescription.
The worst experience of my life in this hospital. after my ecg I have been sent to see the doctor downstairs which he left me 2h waiting will the nurse scratching ball around and one doctor left after he came up saying he has covid and they send my upstairs again. Guys you are fxcked up seriously ! Shame on you !
Horrible hospital. The moment you step in you get transported to WW2 bunker. That could be fine but staff is horrible, everyone I have met should be replaced. And the worst part – hospital is a maze, no proper signage and staff has no clue …
What an extraordinarily, wonderful, amazing hospital St Mary’s is. I was taken here by ambulance with the most awful pain in my chest. After being seen by a doctor in emergency A&E, I was given a blood test which showed I had sepsis. …
Started at major trauma centre via ambulance due to a severely broken foot and possible knee damage via car accident. On arrival, a focused team of professionals began a series of tests, insertions and data recording. …
Five stars for Bridgette Lebbie on Manvers Ward for being so kind and compassionate to my uncle who is near death and to my relatives who were with him during his last hours. Extremely helpful nurse who provided us with as much information …
Just close it down and put everyone out of their misery.
Staff acting as if they are doing you a favour iş just diabolical.
I feel like I am being treated like an animal in this place. …
Great clinical teams, but overcrowded, terrible site comprising mostly shabby, run-down, disparate old buildings spread out over a sprawling site. Very confusing to find your way around.
Went to St Mary’s today for my son’s abdominal cramps. The nurse was amazing with him , despite the challenges doctors usually face because of his special needs. The nurse had such a warming personality and you could tell that he was so …
Worst treatment and staff i had faced on 20dec 2022. Horrible team is orthopaedic very bad . I was pregnant with 8 month and my husband had a leg injury and was in waiting list for surgery but unfortunately we don’t he had a pain and we …
A&E was amazing. Everyone so 9kind. I didn’t appreciate just how much until I found myself in another A&E where the pain management was awful (4 hr wait for a dislocated hip) and the nurses were not pleasant
Bad experience with receptionists at a&e last night, never had an a&e receptionist speak to me like this at all. When I arrived, there was 2 receptionists sitting at the desk. I waited behind the line like the sign said for 2 minutes, …
Thank you very much , to the very helpful nurses today at A&E. I had my lost suitcase arriving and the nurse got me to quickly do blood tests so I was able to leave on time. could not be more grateful🌟🌟 …
I like St Mary’s Hospital despite this awful rude clinician that dealt with me when I went in for a eye test due to Glaucoma really made me feel uncomfortable but I didn’t allow her to spoil my visits. Hopefully she won’t be there next time I visit.
Had accident 3 years ago. Great medical team. Still seen in clinic. Staff are excellent caring. Please ensure payrise is GIVEN.
Went to paediatric A&E and they couldn’t diagnose my daughter’s Roseola. A fairly common childhood rash but even after blood tests they didn’t know. I found out from a friend whose children had had it and he diagnosed it from a photo I sent …
I gave it 4 star only because the pedeatric outpatient department staff were nice. However, the whole hospital referral is extremely slow and often cancels
Or reschedules our appointments. Believer it or not, we’be been waiting for 10 …

My girlfriend was almost dying, in a lot of pain… However we had to wait more than 4 hours to see NURSE, And it took 13 hours to meet a doctor,
The Freaking thing was i was begging to every single nurse to help my …
Amazing hospital good nurses awesome doctors Sistema works brilliant I don’t know why they get bad wages for the job they do .shame on the government conservative 12 years of corruption start with looking to the country see the strikes understand why .
Today I went to A&E and I’m very thankful with my doctor and all the staff working there. They are very gentle and caring. Thank you very very much 🙏🏻 …
Amazing hospital. My disabled mother spend 6 months in this hospital. We were very happy with the care provided. Thank you to all the stuff.
Flickering light in toilets is very bad for epileptics. The main entrance is a building site. People smoking right outside the main entrance, this should be outlawed and enforced. Nowhere inside the hospital to buy a newspaper, a magazine or a new book.
I love the NHS but St Mary’s is run for people who want to work in the NHS. Patients are made to feel invalidated.. I can only add that as a cancer patient, I’ve asked my GP to refer me to another hospital for treatment as I wouldn’t set foot in St Mary’s by choice ever again..
Awful experience. Waited in A+E and then Urgent Care for a total of 4 hours. Watched as the receptionist at Urgent Care rolled her eyes at patients clearly in pain and was generally quite rude. Got passed around through the system all …
Called An outpatient to book blood test for my daughter who is 4 years. Someone who is not adducted Name Desiree pick up the call was shouting over the phone then hang up on me, Called many times to rise a complain about her no Supervisor!!
Worst service system I have ever seen. 7 hours of waiting when you feel bad and no one helps. The janitor who screams and after mopping the floor puts the doormat next to you on the chair. The receptionist, who, to the question “We are …
Just like most of the people here, I had to wait around 7 hours. And even though there’s things to improve, the service I got was kind, warm and respectful. I’ve been to ER services in SouthAmerica and Asia and waiting hours are stressful, …
Every member of their staff was very polite and professional. They went out of the way to accommodate my adjustments request. Thank you!
I was recently admitted to T Mary’s hospital for treatment towards an unbeknown, unexpected illness that required serious urgent care. I found myself in the hands of various healthcare professionals during my stay in the hospital (with the …
Very bad service… I have come in with my mum at 11am with extreme abdomen pain in A&E and I am still waiting to be seen by a doctor it is now 1:20am. It’s been 14 hours I have sat here waiting. When I go and ask the staff the nurses here are so rude.
There was a very impatient, patronising toned receptionist, when I rang through to the gynecology department. I rarely go to the hospital and they seemed to expect I’d know their availability and booking system, which is ridiculous.
Excellent hospital. Have always looked after me really well
Complained to PALs on 20th Jan about no communication from the hospital about my father well being who was a inpatient over Christmas said that were gonna look into it and call me but guess what heard nothing back from PALS !!
A 10 month old baby seen in emergency at 12 am deemed not emergency enough sent to urgent care – waiting time in urgent care is 6-7 hours , we arrived in urgent care at around 1am only to realise patients have been waiting there since 6pm …
The hospital has the look and feel of a Dickensian workhouse and I suspect it will be torn down and replaced in the next decade, much like UCLH and the Royal London have been. I can only comment on the maternity services, my son was born …
I can’t find enough words to express my gratitude to nurses and doctors in A&E. They took care of my 3 months old baby and everything was done with such a great professional care, both to parents and the baby. All of the people involved …
Gave birth to my daughter in 2018 here after Queen Charlotte hospital messed me up and made me take a cab to St Mary’s… I have medical problems and the way St Mary’s handle me was perfect. Had about 5 nurses in the room working like clock …
I don’t really like this hospital tbh, it’s shabby and dirty, I rarely go there but this time I have had no choice as I was referred.
While the Consultant I seen in General Surgery was a great individual with a lot …
Labour ward. I delivered my second child at this hospital. I had c section and i was so scared, everybody was so amazing! They made me feel so comfortable especially the morning of the surgery, I asked to play some music I’ve downloaded on my phone and they did it.
I am so thankful.
My mother received outstanding care on Valentine Ellis ward for her hip fracture and then again in the Albert wing. My only wish is that during the afternoon they turned down the lights to give patients time to rest especially when they …
Medieval medical facility. Step inside and you are instantly transported to a third world country. Most of the staff are ripe for a cut. I was honestly shocked and appalled such a place could ever pass as a hospital in a country as …
Beautiful calm and relaxing. Both the rooms and the lovely midwives.
Not to up to western standards. No one cares about patients, especially during the night. No one seems responsible, no doctors around to quickly have a look at new patients. Had to wait 8h, and was still told it’s going to be another 4h …
MRI scan was swift. Staff was very accommodating. Was no more than a hour tops. They gave away a toy to cheer up a unhappy face
Spent 2 weeks and 1 day on the Great Western ward with my poorly daughter and can not thank the staff enough, not a bad ward to say about the care my daughter received all staff great and they also have a school within the ward which was …
I suffered a broken right arm today and apart from the 3hr obligatory wait In A&E (which Isn’t much more than pre ’80s times to be honest). I think they triage people fairly. Noticed too many folks coming In for a change of bandages, cut …
The worst hospital ever, they are short staffed in the oldest part of the building…
They neglect patients and it’s just horrible..
I wouldn’t even what my worst enemy to go here
Went in Saturday morning, waited for about 2h to get to the doctor. Main drawback is that it was a bit dirty.
A&E checked in then waited for 20 minutes to be seen by doctor, who then referred me to x-ray department. Waited 15 minutes to be called by nurse to have x-ray done, after which I was sent to emergency treatment department, nothing of an …
I used the emergency service in yesterday when I couldn’t breathe. It is stabilized by proper injection of medicine, and I thank the doctor and nurse who treated me kindly one by one even though I am a visitor.
My father was put on Charles pannett ward and the staff just didn’t seem to care. They promised me that they would let me know when my father was being transferred to another hospital. I asked the doctor and nurses to let me know as it’s …
All praise to the nurses and my husbands consultant and the hospital as whole
The catering department has serious problems. The food was inedible. My husband a surgical patient threw up after one meal of congealed supposed bolognese and …
One of the best hospitals in the country.
They took care of everyone with professionalism.
the worst a&e hospital in london absolutely disgusting staff and seating area is ridiculous took them 2.5 hours jus to put me on the system after I handed in the pre check sheet NHS should be ashamed of themselves
I woke up one morning pouring with blood and in labour at 17 weeks, the umbilical cord was hanging out.
I rang for an ambulance who said they would have to take to st Mary’s which I …
This one star is for the maternity ward. I rarely pick on the staff – but sadly they are the issue at this hospital. They are rude, arguably incompetent and frankly come across as unwilling to do their jobs. I was appalled by their behaviour. With all that said the part of the hospital that deals with children is fantastic.
Would’ve given 4 but these people need 5*! Very long waiting, but everyone is kind and only with good will! My first ever surgery, wasn’t pleasant, but glad to have had it there! Shout out for them Lovely docs/nurses!
I am 7 months pregnant. I past out nearby the hospital an ambulance took me there.
I arrived around 6:30pm, after 1 hour they took my blood and check my pressure. …
My mum was put on the ema ward and came out worst. Support workers and nurses are very limited which isn’t fair on the patients as they don’t get the care that they need. My mother was walking, eating and drinking fine before she was put on …
I’d rather die at home then endure the rudeness of Nurses and Doctors after waiting 7 hours in pain to be seen. It’s like they are not human and have no feelings or emotions. Almost like dealing with robots that want to punish you for making them work! This hospital has been going down the toilet year after year!
I began my maternity care here but ultimately decided to transfer to a different hospital. In fairness, I never got to meet any of the midwives in their antenatal ward (only at a community centre where I was directed to attend my booking …
Although I was very pleased how fast I was seen by ENT clinic but I witnessed something truly horrible on my way to CT scan at the reception at Queen Elizabeth Wing around 15:00 on 26/11/21. An elderly disabled lady was almost in tears as …
The poor service ever! My husband is waiting there for more than 12h in A&E for a cut at his finger( nothing extremely important). It is unacceptable to wait that long to be seen. They are making fun of you.
The Gynaecology Department is impossible to contact via the number they list on the letter. Nobody answers emails either. The St Mary’s Hospital number also doesn’t get through. The last time it was impossible to contact them, they …
I’m went with short breath , and pain , I can’t wear face mask while I’m short breath, however staff member confirmed that your trust policy don’t allowed patients with out face mask ,they refused show me copy of the policy , and refused to …
One of the best hospitals in London and is a world leader in research development of medicine.
The staff here are over worked here, with care beening compromised to reduce turnover of patients waiting to be treated. I don’t think a real thought has been given to both staff working conditions or both the patient waiting and treatment …
Go to London zoo and watch a three toed Sloth on sleeping pills. It’ll be faster than the doctors in here. As for the receptionist, lazy and incompetent. This place needs to take the U off the abbreviation. Lazy contemptuous and vile staff. …
Had one of the worst experience in this hospital. Only had one doctor in the Urgent treatment Unit. Waiting time: 6-7 hours. Not what you want to hear with a baby with ear infection
Don’t take your car as poor parking options loads of traffic sometimes on South wharf Road.
