Write a ReviewFirst time today, really clean and tidy changing rooms. Swimming was lovely with steam and sauna rooms giving a bonus! Cheap prices and easy parking. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back.
Very nice gym.
Wish they had a weekend pass as I had to buy 2 day passes costing £20 total which is the cost of a month’s membership at some gyms!
Staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful.
Used to be great, but there’s now no age limit on the gym, so its filled with 12 year olds anytime after 3pm. The floors been damaged in the free weight area for over a month and a sign promising new equipment has been up since January and nothing yet
Been using the gym here for around 4 years since the refurbishment. Was really good. Plenty of space and equipment. Nice staff and well-maintained. However, for the past year or so, the number of people at a time in there is unbelievable, …
I turned up a little early for swimming, I’ve done it before no issue. When I arrived I said, hi I’m a little early and then I had a very quick and blunt response “Oh, you can’t go in now”. I said “can’t you move me”. She said “No we are …
Great gym and spa facilities, equipment is very straightforward. The customer service is faultless, easy to freeze the membership and no fuss cancellations.
I’ve been a member for 8 months and I’ve slowly watched the gym deteriorate. There’s no denying that I myself am I student/young person yet, unlike 12/13 year olds, I am experienced in a gym environment and most importantly have etiquette. …
Nice, clean, modern facilities with pool, sauna, steam room. Friendly staff.
Highly recommended.
The gym is full of little kids taking up the cables and doing pointless exercises and the gym has promised new equipment than the cheap techno-gym stuff, this was December of last year and one of the staff promised it would arrive soon and it still hasn’t been put in the gym, horrible place to workout and if I could move I would
Good family facilities for swimming, loads of room. Just a bit cold in and out of the pool. Plus you have to pay for parking
Great facility but app is difficult & highly unnecessary just to book the gym.
Good gym, nice range of equipment. Helpful staff
We normally go to the swimming pool at Dagenham and its very dirty, but is very dirty inside. Loughton swimming pool it’s clean 8 of 10
Make sure you read ALL the terms of your membership. Booked an 0600 lane swim at 23:52 hrs for the following There were 31 tickets available. Plans changed first thing in the morning git fined £2.50 😆. Tried an evening swim session for …
Been a member of this gym/leisure center 10 years now it was once a lovely place but now its just a youth center can’t get on anything weight wise kids running around like it’s a play ground under staffed. …
Good locally run sport centre. Offering a large new gym. Modern swimming pools with good seating to watch from. Big changing rooms. No cafe but drinks and snack machines. Plenty of parking outside. The pool always seems popular, showers and …
Beautiful facility with quality trainers and well managed activities.
Very well located, just around the high street, making it easy to manage my …
I primarily use the gym which is stocked with clean and well maintained equipment. Hand sanitizer and cleaning sprays are readily available throughout the facility. …
Nice gym and swimming pool facility Clean and green of course
One of the best for swimming courses around and have good facility for the gym.
Swimming courses were so professional and can see the updated after every session in detail. It got very big parking space, however parking is payable even though you are member of the club.
My kid swimming here, its nice place and lovely swimming teachers
Should be renamed Loughton Crèche Centre. Expect large groups of teenage boys in the gym during peak hours (after school) and queues for equipment. Used to be great just after the refurbishment but not having a minimum age for the gym means I will be cancelling my membership and moving to somewhere that does.
The five star rating is for the swimming lessons for my five year old.
He loves it and the staff I deal with are very nice. …
Nice leisure centre, used the pool on this occasion…no issues
We were there for swimming lessons for a five year old. They’re really well run and disciplined classes and the children learn really quickly. Changing rooms and showers are generally good but there are some areas that have got a bit shabby. The centre also has all sorts of gym and fitness classes which look to be very popular.
The centre is great but the car park payment machines are often out of use or very selective about the coinage they will accept.
Swimming pool is very clean and nice built. Also steam and sauna looks like brand new. Very nice and hygienic place. …
Loving that we can use the swimming pool again. Staff are wonderful and make your visit really enjoyable.
It is clean , spacious , modern , up to date and tidy which very good because they maintained how it looks and attracts more people who are active and who want to lose weight. The staff are friendly , responsible , respectful , alert , …
I love this gym! Great facilities, helpful instructors and members of staff. The one thing I would improve on are the toilets. There are only 3 showers in the female changing rooms, which isn’t enough quite frankly. And it would be nice if they started putting free soap and shampoo dispensers in the showers too.
It was really fun and it is for all ages as there is a deep end at about 1.9metres and a shallow end at about 0.4 metres. The shallow is not exact but I went there the other day and it was great fun. Your kids would it enjoy it allot! There …
Nice facility clean tidy the only thing i would have added is a friendly welcome at the front desk which was to be kind, found wanting. A little more visible leadership required then perfect 👌. Well worth attending overall. …
I love the gym and the swimming pool… Friendly staff… Clean place… We are regular clients… Disappointed as wrist bands have been introduced for sauna and steam bath, and even you’re a member sometimes still need to wait to collect your wrist band so you can use this facilities… Waste of paper …
We took my grandson to the teaching pool. He loved it. (2yrs old)
Nice Leisure Centre with pool. Great selection of classes. Pay as you go or membership. Parking is not free but usually plenty of spaces
Great range of equipment and welcoming staff. Very clean often see staff cleaning surfaces and equipment. Love the place
It’s a good pool and can get quite busy at times. Friendly staff and clean changing rooms.
Undergoing some major redevelopment (finally) that will enhance what is offered and raise the level of the existing services. Pool changing area gets rather grubby by the latter part of the day, could do with hosing down more often. Staff …
We had first swimming lessons after the lockdown. Inside was overcrowded. We could not find the free changing room because all were occupied. Before lockdown we had a swimming lessons but it wasn’t so bad like now. It is too much people …
Lovely, clean facilities including pools, gym, exercise studio and more.
Staff is quite nice. It’s only a shame the courses are always full and the swimming pool use is very restricted. Be sure to check timetables to see if they suit you. For the gym I recommend checking peak times and see if you can go off peak, because it’s too full otherwise.
The swimming facilities and fine, but when you’re watching as a parent and have to sit in the sweatbox that is the training pool viewing area it’s horrible. Especially since the vending machines hardly ever work so you can’t get a drink beforehand
Avoid at all costs if you can help it. Terrible communication and customer service. They take out money for no reason from your account and when you call to cancel, it takes an hour just to get through to someone. When you do get through to someone finally, they are just totally unhelpful and never give you all the information.
I sincerely think that this leisure centre is too good for the price they are charging… its clean, spacious, and friendly staff that makes it all really an enjoyable experience. Our favourite activity there is swimming..very affordable and a lot of suitable slots during the week.
Great place for any type of sport. The gym is particularly good with lots of way to entertain ones self with the Televisions scattered evenly across the area. Another Great thing is the swimming area with two big sized pools and well …
Excellent facility including gym, 2 swimming pools, sauna, steam room and cafeteria. Overall feeling is that it was better under the Everyone Active’s management, yet the new scheme needs time to prove itself. Still, I wouldn’t change it for another place.
Nice pool but water could be a little warmer. Otherwise a good length pool with nice depth and great for family swimming.
Huge decline in cleanliness since the new contract ‘Places for People’ took over. The place is becoming shoddy and uncared for. We tried 4 lockers before we got one that locked and even then the strap was broken so had no way of attaching …
The staff specially at the reception are very hostile, unhelpful, rude and intimidating.
They only apply rules at their discretion for their favourite members. We also smell racism in their behaviour.
Never answer the phones. EVER. No matter how long you hold or the time of day you call. Strange, because when Im at the centre there is normally atleast 2 of them hanging around reception chatting between them and doing f all.
Nice leisure centre with big car park and nice swimming pool. Easy location and reachable by tube but quite a walk to the station.
Fantastic new gym with plenty of space and equipment. By far the best in the area But sadly let down by a lack of decent showers. There’s only 3 showers in a communal space. They’re old and outdated. It reminds me of the old communal …
I do TRY and swim here 3 times a week but in the winter it is a struggle to get off the sofa after a long shift at work. I never regret it when I do put the effort in as I also finish off with a relaxing steam room and sauna.
Spoke to reception on the phone after not being able to book activities online. The member of staff advised me I have to pay a cancellation charge as they have a 4 hour cancellation period for classes. This is not stated anywhere on the …
Took my 4yr old grandson for his swimming lesson in the training pool. Why are the showers unbearably hot??
Gym is in the middle of being refurbished but still a good place to workout. Friendly helpful reception and membership staff. Will be better when it’s finished being refurbed. Looking forward to that.
I only use the pool when taking my daughter swimming, facilites are very good and well maintained. Younger children can swim for free on Sunday mornings but you have to book in advance.
Well, it’s now Feb 2019, and I’m still swimming as part of my new year’s resolution. Loughton leisure centre is nearest for me, and it can get jam-packed as most do this time of the year. So far I haven’t crashed into anyone yet, so I’m still motivated and enjoying it, as they say, time will tell.
Clean and tidy, recent refit got what you need in a leisure centre
Good modern gym with plenty of machines and free weights scattered about. Staff friendly. Swimming pool very good. Changing rooms upstairs ok, bit cosy. If you want a coffee or a nibble it’s out of machines. Pay parking aplenty
Cannot cope with number of members it has. To difficult to book for classes, and if booked for classes using equipment eg spinning bikes not enough to go round and quite often they are not working properly. Swimming pool only open at inconvenient hours for those who work.
after complaint told to come inland they discuss options.
went in.
told basically that minority child like mine is of no importance, normal children …
Very good gym. Lots if variety and options.
It was wonderful. Very clean. Really enjoyed my aqua fit class.
Went here with friends and children for a “swimming party ” for the kids . They all had a great time. Seated gallery area to keep an eye on the children. Large parking area .
Despite all the terrible reviews and my friend getting her purse and phone stolen out of a locker there a few months ago, decided to give the leisure centre a go because we are local. Got our 5 month year old ready to go swimming for the …
Great gym and very good pool. Staff is very helpful. My children train in swimming classes there and progress through stages pretty well.
I’m nice at ping pong
Pool times need to be re-thought out. Cant go into the steam and sauna a lot of the time in the week and on Saturday, feel like I’m wasting money if this isn’t changed soon I will leave I think
We enjoyed a lovely swim despite all the redeveloping. It will look fantastic when it’s finished.
Haven’t been here since the renovation, but there’s a decent pool size at 25m. Note, it can get pretty busy. …
Very clean, well organised. Louise in reception is lovely.
Conveniently located with an adequate gym. Very good classes. Have not been since the takeover and unlikely to return given the negative feedback from locals.
Good pool and facilities and decently clean
I love to swim and this is a great swimming pool for those that like to put a few lengths in. Beware that those who like to swim with the young family will need to double check the timetable as there are only certain times of timetable that the pool is available for family swimming.
Busy and buzzing. Very nice gym.
I found this place can be quite disgusting at times with visitors walking around in their shoes near the shower/pool areas and with parents taking their prams/pushchairs in. The place does offer some sort of shoe overalls to cover them with but most don’t use them when picking up their kids unfortunately.
Seems nice, went to look over pleasantly surprised, going for physio exercises, looking forward to it, reception staff nice, so we will see.
I wouldn’t go there even if they paid me .. Manager is very rude & cocky… & some staff haven’t got a clue !!!
My Grandaughter is having swimming lessons here which began at 6 months. A month on and she is loving it. Usually one to one but sometimes one or two more but brilliant attention and care from the instructor.
