Write a ReviewI went here this morning at 7:15am, to get my meal deal for work. I went to the checkout and there was a lady called Janice, an old lady with a mean tone. I typically purchase Monster Or Red Bull from here – I had my car keys in hand and I …
Just a cool place to shop in it’s quietly tucked out location. Lots of parking spaces plus great customer service at Argos till inside.
Everything under one roof, thousands of products for day to day use. Best part is having the Argos in the Sainsbury. Very convenient and clever concept. Pharmacy and clothing line with schools uniforms for kids. Full stocks of all the …
Probably the cleanest, best stocked Sainsbury’s, I’ve ever visited. Well stocked shelves, plenty of choice. A very tidy store with lots of free parking.
The in-store pharmacy is very good, polite, helpful and friendly staff. The Pharmacist was excellent, took time to explain my wife’s meds.

Went there especially to buy the Valentine meal deal.. lots on offer BUT it seems the till was not able to ‘recognise ‘ the discount so each item purchased had to be paid the usual price .. and of course the staff at till could not over ride it !!!No wonder the shelves were still full . THANKS Tesco for my meal deal .
Poorly stocked, not overly clean. Fed up of trolleys in every section and not just one trolly, every time i go in there. I am there at least once a week.
I’ve always loved the TU work wear range for women but the collection seems to have twinkled recently. Shame. Maybe their summer clothing will bring some surprises 🤗 …
I recently visited Sainsbury’s in Newbury Park and was impressed by the wide selection of products and the cleanliness of the store. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the checkout process was quick and efficient. I was able to find …
Very friendly helpful staff. Loads of parking. Never too busy so makes shopping quick and less stressful.
Argos on site along with chemist and eye testing.
Large store, lots of parking. Not really somehwrr you can walk to.
B&m and sports direct close by which is useful. …
Large Super Market, everything from fresh food to daily weekly shopping, clothing and news papers / mags. Also Argos in store. Large free car park limit is 3hrs max number is logged on entry.
Very good station and good for the people and good job doing very quick make a station and Corona time hard time but doing good job thanks for Authority And workr company and I a railway Brilliant work for the community thanks
Plenty of free parking, nice supportive staff, can recycle bags, clothes section, fresh bakery, clean.
Well stocked and decent size store. Clothing , toys , electronics, and staff are also friendly and helpful. Sometime they are short staff.
Biggest Sainsbury’s in the local area. Not 5 starred as still some items not availabile in-store. Decent parking and other shops like Sports Direct next door.
Loads of parking, never too busy, close by and has most of the things I need when I need it.
Amazing staff, good deals and very important clean store!
Always clean. Well stocked. Large store so doesn’t feel over crowded
Myself and my husband would like to say thank you to a young lady called Fatima who was so efficient and helpful at the self check out counter on Wednesday evening. She went out of her way to help us. She is an excellent member of staff and we really appreciate her help and kindness.
Thanks again Fatima
Very easy to get to and lots of parking, and staff are all well mannered
It’s an amazing place. You go in and are to buy all different types of food and drink. I mean all types even hot food.
Getting worse self’s empty most of the time
Some staff has bittcy attitude at self service counters and help desk
As they think working on a minimum wage has sainsbury given them shares
Easy to park, never seen it really busy
Found most items on my list, with the exceptions of a number of shoppers board due to Coronavirus.
Fresh fish counter is great with selection and service. …
Fast efficient me good value
Decent big shop but annoying that does not have any cold beers – only big boxes
Always a good place to shop but getting a little too pricey
Have used this store for well over 20yrs early on a Saturday morning.
Just recently shocking that no-one on the checkouts now and have to do a full shop using the self service tills..not great customer service especially the lady …
It’s a great sainsbury’s. With a large car park. There are a few more stores that share the car park.
This Sainsbury’s has an Argos store, which is really handy to have. …
One of the best supermarkets in London with quality products from all over the world. Spacious car park with reserved spaces for families is very convenient for elderly couples. Argos collection centre is inside the supermarket which make this place super convenient.
I used Argos which is within Sainsburys at the Newbury Park store. Service was quick & efficient & staff were polite. Item was in stock & able to be collected immediately.
Very Good variety. Staff helped me with checkout since I’m new.
Several Freezer cabinets empty plus skimmed milk is still subject to very limited availability otherwise not too bad a shop. …
How much longer before the dreadful road is fixed? How much longer before the trolley parks are able to be used again? There seems to be no sign of any maintenance work being done. Regular, weekly customers are able to see zero has been …
A super store to satisfy almost every kind of consumers. Availability of various items of various kinds.
A very convenient branch of Saintsbury’s for the nearby areas. Big parking area and huge collection of products in the shop made it a special place.
Staff are very aggressive, confrontational and inappropriate. I brought this up with the firm and they don’t seem to care.
No issues with shopping in the store. Their delivery service from this branch is appalling. This is the second time there’s been no sign of my delivery. Nobody has bothered to keep me updated about it. It was only when I rang customer …
The lady near the self service was very rude and unhelpful and gave ma very bad look, i needed help and i was not given any help.
Great place, very good customer service and experience, they have a lot of offers on all the time
Poor service at the till. I would have gone to the self service till if I didn’t have lots of items!
Large Sainsburys with clothes, household wares, an Argos and petrol. Large car park.
Gets a bit busy weekends, try going during the week.
Never had any bad experiences, good staff and tidy store.
Only the checkout can take a little while…maybe just not enough staff
Probably the worst run supermarket in the area. The store is large, has reasonable range of stock, plentiful parking and Argos in store – that’s all positives. Items are frequently in the wrong place or mislabelled and till staff won’t help …
Not what it was. The deli and wet fish counters have gone, as has the cafe. Veg is not very good. And you invariably have to queue at the few checkouts that are in use. …
Always looks clean and tidy when I stop here. Great selection of food and cleaning materials. Really like the clothes section. Nice cafe but very poor selection of food. Unfortunately the cafe is closing down .
Poor service, waiting at customer service while 2 members of staff chatting away, had to ask them to be served nowhere to sit either. Most stores provide seating behind the tills.
Not impressed at all.
Nice clean supermarket. Has good variety of stuff plus a lot of Indian items such as rice, snacks, spices, etc. They are not too crowded as it’s off the main road. They also have the new smartshop scanners which are helpful. Cash machine outside. Free car parking.
Well prices are too much. I dont get it why so high. Sainsbury is not M&S
There were not many customers, they had a good range of swimwear, clothing and underwear.
Produce looked fresh, a very pleasant experience.
Nothing wrong with this place. Very updated with technology
Great shop ,friendly staff.
Good location. Store lacked items in stock for Holi and Diwali festivals despite knowledge of local demographic
Plenty of parking. Good crowd.
Great canteen, one of the best Sainsbury shops in the country
Poor customer service on tills. No awareness of slowing or stopping the belt. No offer to help but much rather just watch customers shopping build up. When asked if the cashier can help we cant because of covid…yet you can touch all the products and cant touch a shopping bag! Poor experience.
My local supermarket has ample parking a large product range, however they have just decided to move everything around, just to confuse you
Variety of products. Good collection
The prices are…..pfff….you have to be careful otherwise u get fooled. I was looking to get a set of 3 pack wipes as usually is cheaper this way. When I looked again it was much cheaper to get them one by one. Also the prices are just …
Very badly organised shelves.
Some products have less choice now.
Some items are not there and shelves are empty. …
Good store have everything and a Argos at the back for click and collect
Excellent experience
more than enough parking space, wheelchair accessible, good for locals, abit tricky getting by car but every other means is simple. …
It wasn’t busy at all, the staff were polite and friendly as usual, they have a small Halal range of meats, would be nice if it was a bigger range.
Prices could be better. Why price match aldi, why not beat them?
Anyway it has an argos inside, lots of parking and a pizza counter. …
Staff very helpful, polite and cheerful
Found plenty of Kosher items for Pesach
Good selection of produce and helpful staff.
Great location with plenty of parking
I cannot understand the reason for the dim lights nor do I understand their reasons for closing the cafè. I felt like turning on my mobile torch on Sunday at 11.30am. I used to really like this branch of Sainsburys. No more butcher or fish counter either.
The shop it’s self is good but no maker the time of day the toilets are vile and this whole shop has terrible lighting you strain your eyes the whole time
When is something going to be done about the service road??? Flooding, potholes and sunken drains!!!! Nightmare to drive to.
Big store plenty of parking. Children’s clothing is still mainly girls clothes. Would like to see more boys choices
Great store
Friendly staffs
Staff are friendly enough even will all the rude customers strutting around. Store layout really needs work though, fruit is spread everywhere and when compared to other sainsburys stores it is a nightmare to navigate
Helpful Staff and always a good environment to shop in
Decent shop, spacious, good clothing section
Large store with well stocked aisles
Love the bakery stuff!
Perfect as always. New layout (welcome to the 21st century) missing a star because of fast track service scanners. I don’t know how it works but everything I do this it always randomly picks me to do a rescan. I’m standing there with some …
Sad sad sad excuse,
Can we even say sainsbury’s a supermarket any more… …
Big store with so many choices of food and lots of fruits are sold rotten (please see pictures). Also they have a huge problem every time i go there there are only 2 tills open and of course endless queues.
I had enough ,yesterday i went to Marks and Spencer instead.
Great idea to go on a Monday morning as it was lovely and quiet, however a lot of empty shelves. Slight queue at the tills (not self service) as there were only 2 open and items were scanned at the speed of light. …
A lovely store and has been my favourite supermarket for years. However I will not be going back due to the totally inadequate car park. It is so small and totally unfit for purpose given the size of the store. The car park was recently …
The store’s exterior got completely redone with a huge ground level parking.. the designer completely ignore the needs of cycling costumers with only 3 bike parking space in this huge parking. …
Avoid if youre driving. There are no barriers in the car park so it’s full of non customers and taxi’s. I went on a Monday when the store was quiet but the carpark was full. I also went there 2 weeks ago and had the same problem but thought I’d give it another chance. No luck
Nice parking area unfortunately there is always a Mercedes idiot that is blind and can’t find car bay
One of the biggest supermarkets in Whitechapel. Recently they renovated the whole building and the parking lot. I always purchase from this supermarket. If you’re looking for some alcoholic beverages in Whitechapel, they have some huge varieties of collections.
Looks very unorganised, there are two cash machines in the middle near the flowers and one of them doesn’t work. There is no security, people are walking pass. Felt so uncomfortable! …
It’s a great place to buy your daily groceries products they have a very huge care parking
Changed since my last visit. Gone is the spacious overhead carpark to be replaced by a somewhat crowded space . The shop was much the same as usual, lost leaders at the front of the store to catch your eye, but very clean and attentive staff.
New car park layout is stupid. Less space and tight squeeze, Tiered parking was plenty. Also no exit pathway out to Durward St, Brady street, or even to the Whitechapel underground station. Have to walk all the way around just to get out …
A big Sainsbury store especially in the centre of London. Huge selection of fresh fruit and veg (the main stuff I buy) and everything else you need for your groceries. The staff are helpful and get the self-service checkout moving along nicely.
Huge!
Service was great. Whitechapel Sainsbury’s had lots of options abd good service. …
Great grocery selection, but unfortunately, the staff are not particularly friendly and don’t know where the products are (isles, etc). It took me an hour and a half to grab 10-12 items.
Easy access not to crowded good transport nearby. Good quality food.
Please bring back the old entrance!!! The new entrance takes an extra 10mins to walk to, makes it no longer my local as Tesco’s is now easier to get to! Specially for those of us who work at the hospital with a 45min lunch break it’s now …
Sainsbury’s in Whitechapel has recently reverted its car park to how it was before the development of the Elizabeth line, but it has unfortunately resulted in severe congestion. It can be a challenge to find an available parking space, and …
A excellent Sainsbury’s Store. Very good food quality and good price offering a wide variety of products. Love it! Easy parking and access to markets including 2hours free parking. A huge range of halal food section which is very good for …
The guy at the self service the one with the Islamic hat is a very nice guy with excellent customer service skills. …
First time at this super Sainsbury store in Whitechapel. Store was clean and tidy. There were many different departments in the store. Disappointed w/housewares dept. Much smaller than expected. Food and drink aisles were great! Lots of …
Good selection of items and lots of stock, friendly staff.
Its a good store however most of the halal meat is finished quite often, theyre renovating the place right now and only one car park is opened temporarily. Maximum stay is only 1 hour
The perfect place to get all kind of items from different parts of the world. Myself being an Indian got all spices (in an affordable price). And not to forget to mention the liquor section,it is awesome ☺️
A big open, self-checkout, multi-purpose, one-storied grocery store nearby Whitechapel station.
New car park is open. Multistory carpark is now one level ground floor only. 1.5hrs max stay. Entrance from Cambridge Heath road again.
Great place to shop. Sll household items available. Good parking lot.
Bigger ..fairly good clothing and home range. Love the bakery
We had a parking ticket. Explained to the parking company why we could not move the car. The in store customer service advised that we speak to the manager and they should be able to waive it if we showed them our mitigating circumstance. …
This is a very large supermarket with more vegan options on their shelves. I am extremely pleased.
Large store with a huge options for almost everything. It’s quite convenient, high quality items at moderate cost.
I’ve never seen a Sainsburys store so dirty as this one, shelves very dirty, checkouts very dirty, floors very dirty, this is a place where people go to get there groceries do they not practice health and hygiene in this store ? Clean your checkouts please !
I have been a regular customer at this sainsbury’s for more than 5 years. Its really sad to see the standards have have gone down. Every time I go there I see rotten and bad quality vegetables and fruits on the shelf. Very bad
Last week on entering Sainsbury’s Whitechapel, I dropped a £10 note on the floor. I had no idea I done this but five minutes after being in the store I lovely gentleman called Maz (security officer) came looking for me to give me my £10 …
The new carpark is much better and very accessible, Its improved the overall look of this store. Cannot wait to see what happens to the rear car park. Most people hate the Limited parking time of 90 munites, but I think this is great as …
New parking is ridiculous, so many people queuing with their cars as there’s no space… Why change something that works, old parking was perfect
This is Sainsbury Whitechapel London.
One of the best locations. I learnt that they may be going down because of the new Train station coming there.
Decided to check out Sainsbury’s today after reading the many positive reviews on here. Expectations were high, but I was not disappointed. The store was clean, spacious, and well laid out. Having to give it four stars as we did struggle to …
This place has potential to be a full and complete supermarket. But every time I go in it is messy and the layout is not quite right. I’ve been disappointed a few times. The queues are always incredibly long as well.
I can find anything and everything here.. just have to look for offers.. gets even better when you have a nectar card
Good place but doesn’t have everything
Larger store lots if stock short on sizes in the clothing range friendly till staff nice to be served and have that interaction with people instead of a machine 😀 …
Large Sainsbury’s store, some additional Asian food stocked due to location. Habitat items now in store at some good sale prices. Level access from new carpark to entrance.
While all the building is going on I found it very complicated to enter the store as a pedestrian and wouldn’t go back to this store for the moment. I was only visiting a friend nearby so thankfully I have other options nearby my home.
A lovely shop assistant called James was helpful beyond expectations, would do anything to find a ginger powder for customers in needed. Very decent working ethics, please keep it up!
In-store you get almost everything that you expect from a bigger sainsbury, in addition they have added Argos inside recently plus the cafe makes it perfect for buying everything at once. Only downside I would say the parking arrangements, 2/3 row of normal parking as oppose to 4/5 including disabled and electric vehicles parking.
It’s a Sainsburys I haven’t been in for maybe 8 years. Went in for a snack, cos I missed brekko due to hosp appt. Couldn’t find what I wanted so left empty-handed. …
Car park has fantastic views! Lol. Shops ok as well.
A lot of variety & fairly good prices on certain items. Halal section is a decent size & had a lot of options. I must say the staff seem frustrated with their jobs as you can sense it when trying to communicate. New Interim entry can be very annoying as cash machine queues can block maim entrance
Sainsburys Whitechapel have added another reason to dislike them. The car park has been sold off to a parking company and the layout now means that you have to walk in the road, into the traffic, if you want to trolley your goods back to …
The new car park a bit small compared to the old one but still a good place to do your home shopping
Very spacious branch of Sainsbury’s and shelves are stacked regularly.
Very comprehensive selection of items. Has food, clothes, stationery, home items and an Argos.
The best supermarket in London, in my opinion. Spacious and clean. You can find literally anything here.
This is a good supermarket, a wide variety of products (food, clothings, indoor and outdoor products) under one roof. Good quality goods
Work done by me on the 24th of December 2014.
fantastic store with fantastic coworkers!
Today I was in Sainsbury’s in Whitechapel and Carollee was so polite and gave me a nice advice about the chocolate products for children, she is very helpful and gave us a smart experience. Thank you Carollee!
The staff are helpful, easy access to the car park, and being able to call a cab from the store.
The lady at the kiosk her name is Patrica some mornings when I go to sainsburys she so helpful and polite and good customer service….
Worst Sainsbury’s experience ever. Men’s toilet closed. I asked security officer, he said no other alternative. For an older man not the best option for shopping.
Not worth it anymore. Such a huge shop that years ago had a lot of range of products and made me so happy, and right now has a limited range but in more stalls because that is the only way they can increase benefits. More expensive than …
A cornerstone of the Whitechapel community. Used to have a very stupid policy around needing to scan your receipt to leave the self checkouts which was incredibly frustrating. They get 4 stars for removing it and another star for having an …
It’s a very convenient place to shop with my dog and they sell the best freshly baked baguette in town.
I like this shop. It offers high quality produce and a good section of free from products. It’s a bit pricier than other shops. It has a toilet. Sells clothes, electrical and housewares. Good quality goods. It has changed with a new …
I like this Sainsbury’s. It is quiet in the afternoon, they have good deals and the staff have always been polite.
This branch is a bit of a sad shambles at the moment. Refurb going on and for some time now they no longer have the deli counter which is very much missed. Shame really
Big selection of goods but it really is a mess of building work and one tiny entrance. Never enough staff on tills. You also need your receipt to get out of the self service area which isn’t made very clear.
Always empty of stock. Never find anything you need bc shelves are all empties. Third world supermarket
Everything you need in the store is right there. I would suggest more discounted offers considering the cost of living is rising
New parking is atrocious so cramped no space why change something that dosent need changing old parking had floors and enough space
Always different price at checkout to what’s displayed happens so many times I think its a deliberate ploy
Excellent store and very good quality of products.
A good shopping experience. 5 star reserved for amazing.
Edit: Construction work is virtuality complete. It’s a big improvement.
All needs at one place wonderfull.
Staff are great it’s just a shame if you go any time after 5/6pm you will not find any fruit or vegetables on the weekend.
Consistently I have found that this place does not restock their shelves until …
Car park horrendous. Store very good and roomy enough to browse easily.
A well layed out store. But I really seriously desperately miss the cafe.
Good quality products, hospitality staff.
Nice place for your local shopping
No explanation required Sainsbury’s, of course.
