City institution. Service is good. Some outside drinking to watch the world fly by after work. Real mixture of characters.. some good, some not so good. Expect to be asked 20 times for money from the local homeless/smackheads/destitute. It’s what contributes to it’s charm.

Had a lovely craft ale. Staff were so cheery. Mirza was very helpful with local recommendations. A good boozer right in the heart of it.

Really nice pub. You have to order and pay your meals and drinks at the counter. Breakfast was quite good and freshly made. I loved the pancakes. Lunch starts at 12. Before that you can’t order lunch meals. Good value for money. Can be crowded during lunchtime.

Very convenient location near Liverpool Street Station for a nice place to have a bite before heading to the airport. The place has a beautiful interior, especially in the dining area upstairs. The burger was good, I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve had, but it’s a decent burger for a decent price in a nice traditional English pub.

Took the team for a belated Christmas lunch to my favourite City eaterie and once again I was not disappointed. Food was excellent as always and the staff friendly.

I’ve only ever had a pint in this pub, the atmosphere is nice and relaxed, it was a little on the crowded side but then this is central London. There is plenty of seating outside in addition to the inside seating. I could image this would be a great place to grab lunch and a pint before a long train journey.

Stopped for breakfast this morning. The pub is really nice, relaxed, clean and friendly. Server Danielle was really nice and helpful, gave us advice about travelling as well as we were heading across London. Food was lovely. We had Nicholson breakfast, bacon sandwich and pancakes. Would recommend

One of the worst (if not the worst Nicholson’s) in town. Untrained staff that doesn’t know how to collect a stamp, use a voucher or start a tab. Usually smells like vomit.

One of the worst places I’ve ever been. The bartenders accidentally hit my wife with a lemon (they were throwing it at each other, then didn’t bother to apologize) and couldn’t make drinks off the menu on the wall, such as an old fashioned. Awful place. I love a good dive but this is just awful.

Since moving office we have been coming here weekly. Kasia upstairs has made us feel incredible welcome and in turn made it our local!
