Write a ReviewThis hospital exceeded my expectations!!
Brilliant staff and doctors. I was NHS did not get treated any different from paying customers. I wish all hospitals could be like this!! Thanks for looking after me.
Pretty disappointed with this place. Reception staff are far from welcoming, leaving you standing there without even an acknowledgement while they grump at each other. The Dr I dealt with gave the impression that he didn’t really care and …
From previous experience, if you actually manage to make a booking, the staff I met were kind, competent and professional however
The phone booking system is ATROCIOUS, no one answers or picks up the phone on …
Used to be a great hospital. Now appears to be understaffed? Takes 30 minutes for them to answer the phone. Trying to book an ultrasound scan. They’ve had the referral from my GP for 3-4 days, but it has yet to be processed ‘due to a …
Going to use Nuffield in future, no answering phones. Been trying for nearing 3 weeks to book my ultrasound and blood tests; that I’m meant to have before my procedure tomorrow!! But no one will answer the phone. …
Absolutely shocking service, nearly impossible to get someone to call you back, been trying to book a scan for over two weeks and told the imaging department turn their phones off 10-1! Tried to make a complaint and the complaints person …
Just treated myself to a long awaited poo. The pay off was worth the wait, although, I should’ve put paper down first; tiny bit of splash back. I only visited this hospital for the poo party and tiny wizards. 🥳 Ciao. …
Staff were incredibly friendly, kind and nothing seemed to much for them to help with. They kept me topped up with coffee to keep me comfortable after my op. They are a credit to your hospital. Had some concerns after visit, contacted the …
I received an operation for my TMJ and removal of my wisdom teeth by Mr Altman today. I can honestly say that I was very well looked after by Mr Altman as well as the Spire support team. I had loads of healthcare professionals asking me if …
Not the one of the best private hospitals in my opinion.
Trying to contact the hospital by phone, don’t bother, management & admin at this hospital is not fit for purpose. I won’t be trusting this place with my care going forward
I payed for and had a heart CT scan (which is a decent sum of money, and involves drugs and exposure to radiation) and never received the results, no one will talk to me, no refund, just bailiffs to collect their consultation fee, which i refuse to pay without a resolution. Will be taking to court.
Excellent experience at Spire Gatwick hospital! Had vascular surgery done under Dr.Maytham, whom I highly recommend! I cannot fault one aspect of the service provided ! All the hospital & theatre staff were attentive & service was outstanding!
One of the best hospital I have ever come across. Staff was very helpful. Food is like being in a 4 star hotel.
On the contrary I also had an occasion when I stayed …
Excellent service highly recommended. From the start everyone who has contacted me has been so polite, very friendly and answered all my questions. My two night stay at the hospital was comfortable and I found the nursing staff very …
Almost impossible to get to speak to anyone on the phone… trying to rebook a cancelled appointment.. clearly over stretched
I’ve been using Gatwick park for the last 5 or 6 years, the last couple experiences I’ve had there make me not keen at all to return. As a preface to my review – everyone is perfectly polite and pleasant, I’ve never been mistreated; however …
Not had the surgery yet, but the care, deep knowledge and compassion we have receive ahead of my son’s adenotonsillectomy from every staff involved, admin, consultant, nurses has been a reminder of what outstanding care is. Modern, clean facilities and outstanding staff.
I had surgery on the 13th January which I was extremely nervous about until I got to my room. From the start I was treated with respect & everyone who I saw was helpful & answered any questions I had. After having to have more surgery the …
Billed for an appointment that was never made or confirmed by myself. When I called I was told to take it up with the consultant, when I questioned this I was told “none of my details were on the system” and “we can’t just pluck out phone …
After chronic stress trying to diagnose an issue via my local surgery I went private with Spire. I am delighted I did. Caring from Day 1, Attentive and happy staff, wonderful facilities. I can now move on with my life. 🙂 100% recommend.
Not a good hospital if you go private. I had 2 dermatologists appointments and both time had to wait 30/40 mins after time that was booked. Had to have MRI and that took 2 weeks to book and I’m now trying to get through to book a follow up appointment but nobody picks up phone. Will find a better one in the area
A first class experience. A truly skilled consultant and wonderful nursing staff. Not forgetting the rest of the team.
I really felt looked after (thank you – especially Rachel Martin) by everyone. …
We received an offer for my son’s treatment in 2021, which was scheduled for 2022. When we arrived, the prices had already been raised. Their system is complicated. You have to talk separately: reception, administration, finance, nursing, …
The consultant was brilliant as were the reception staff but it is absolutely impossible to get through on the phone and emails aren’t answered.
After just having some minor surgery at Spires’ I just wanted to say how great the whole experience was! The thought of being cut open for a procedure is never that much of a comforting prospect but that was quickly subdued by the first …
Simon Monkhouse and the team were excellent. The hospital is clean and staff are attentive. Very pleased with my experience and would return in a heartbeat if needed.
Radiology department lovely staff but really slow service waiting 4 weeks for MRI privately is unacceptable. Also wakehurts ward was horrific the nurse threatened me with the police because I wanted to get fresh air outside of the ward and she responded you can’t go out as if you don’t return we wil call the police.
The dermatology department of this hospital has a two tiered system. If you are self pay they answer the phone immediately and can’t be more attentive. If you’re insured no one answers the phone and if you leave a message no one rings you …
A pretty dreadful experience from start to finish. I attended the Spire Gatwick Park as a day case and as a private patient . I was put in a cubicle with a curtain, no privacy, so any confidential information was easily over-heard by other …
Just want to say thank you, everyone that looked after me 1/11/21. Having a spinal epidural, from walking in made to feel welcome. Recovery although I did start hyperventilating after having all the injections. All the nurses are very …
Had surgery yesterday (15th July 22) and the nursing staff were amazing and so was the theatre staff, also a massive thank you to Dr James Alvey who preformed the surgery, lovely and clean food was nice.
Had an appointment with Dr Cowley in June and she and her secretary Linda were fantastic – really helpful and friendly. Most enjoyable doctor’s appointment I’ve ever had which is a strange thing to even think of. Makes me wish I could go …
I recently had minor foot surgery as a day patient, and found the entire process to be very good. Every member of staff from admin and nursing through to the surgical team did their best to look after me and make a stressful experience as easy as possible. Thank you.
Upon arrival it was suggested that I was here for “Willie Wednesday” as they call it. The introduction was unprofessional and just frankly weird. Throughout the day I was spoken to like a child and with disrespect. The staff behaved oddly …
How can anyone honestly ‘enjoy’ being in a hospital? – Ask the staff at Gatwick Park because they make it possible! Right from the first consultation to leaving to go home the experience was friendly and relaxed. …
Had an appointment scheduled with the dermatologist on the 6th of april, they cancelled a day before and they did’nt make any efford to try to reschedule! Also, the lady on the phone, Helen (think that was her name), was speaking to me with a very hostile and condescending tone of voice!
The radiology department don’t answer the phones and don’t call you back. On my 10th attempt to reach the department, the ‘phone was answered by a surly receptionist with an abrupt attitude. They quoted me double the price for a scan I had …
Had a surgery in Feb 2020 for Hernia. The pain persisted as it was pre surgery plus got another side effect which is an extreme discomfort. Informed the consultant in the post surgery consultation ,where he said it will go away in few weeks. …
Both myself and my husband have been treated here during 2021 and we have both received 1st class care. As you would expect, the hospital is extremely clean and both admin and medical staff are friendly and courteous.
I have just had a total hip replacement and cannot fault any aspect of my treatment. The nurses made my stay as pleasant as I could of hoped for, always attentive and friendly. The consultant, physios and all involved were brilliant….and the food was really good.
I have had two procedures at Gatwick Park. My first procedure was a breast reduction with Mr Dheansa and in 2018 I had my bunions removed by Mr Baldwin. Both of the surgeons were fantastic, answering any questions I had and took great care …
Outstanding care for different procedures in the day ward. Very organised and full care and attention given by all on the ward, operating theatre and recovery ward.
very slow at getting an MRI scan. Referral has been received from orthopedic consultant but will take several days for them to review the request and then next MRI is 10 days after that so essentially 2 weeks. Did not expect this with going privately.
Great experience and great staff,
Went in 2 days ago and wa greeted at the door and escorted to my room where I was staying for the night, was given my gown and had all my admissions done and …
An NHS referral but a poor citizen in a private hospital. My experience was excellent with the consultant but the customer care with the rest of the team was non existent. I have feed this back with zero reaction. They provide incorrect …
Gatwick spire from beginning to end treated me perfectly and we’re very kind to me when I had my thyroglossal cyst removal last Monday performed by miss choudhury I’m healing excellently and I’m very happy with the service provided for such a reasonable price
I’ve been to Gatwick Park for 2 seperate problems, both times I was extremely pleased with my care ,my Lower limb Surgeon Mr Freeman ,was absolutely amazing, and my operation a complete success,I have already recommended him to my GP . …
Absolutely amazing. Every single member of staff was exceptional and I cannot thank them enough. They made the whole experience as relaxing as possible. My consultant was fantastic and I’m very grateful for everything they’ve done for me!
Spire Gatwick Park is the most fantastic medical facility you could ever hope to be treated in! I have had 3 procedures here and all of them have been exceptional. The staff are wonderful and so kind, the facilities are top class and the …
Can’t leave a review as they don’t answer enquiries.
I left a contact form message on a Sunday to arrange an urgent consultation …
Staff on the ground were mostly great but the hospital has a serious issue with communication. Large numbers of agency staff appear to provide the core body of the hospital and though these are caring members of staff, they cannot be …
Fantastic hospital.
The staff are some of the loveliest I’ve ever come across.
Really caring and a perfect experience from start to finish. …
Came here with a resident who was in my care. I cannot fault this place. Lovely warm and friendly staff. Very easy to know where you are goingm direction are clear. Lovely and clean without that chemical smell. And could u please thank your …

I have just had a foot neuroma operation and cannot fault the process from start to finish. I don’t have private medical insurance, but the self-pay department were so helpful. All the staff were wonderful, and looked after me from the …
Everything was amazing from the beginning, the ward clerk who took me to my room, all the nursing team, the pantry staff, the theatre staff. The room was perfectly clean with a tv, en-suite and air con! the food was lovely. Couldn’t have asked for better care.
I recently had a procedure done at Gatwick park .. I can highly recommend from the first consultation too coming home , and even getting a post op telephone call .. the staff was fabulous and nothing was too much .. and definitely a big thumbs up for the cleanliness
Had a recent MRI scan, I was well over 10 min late but the staff were so nice and took me in without saying anything.
Staff Marola( hope I spelled it wright) was very nice, attended to me straight …
Extremely poor service again. Left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. Messages not getting delivered. Extremely poor aftercare and the Spire accounts departments in Reading is quite frankly the worst I have have encountered, …
Just getting through on the phone can be a frustrating. Couldn’t even leave a message as system didn’t seem to be working properly.
I had a consultation for severe back problems with Mr Maurice. I can honestly say that I have never before dealt with a less pleasant, rude and hostile person. My treatment was so bad that I switched to a different hospital. Their won …
Really pleasant staff but poor systems and lack of coordination between them. Went in for a hip resurfacing in January 2014. Operation fine (good consultant also available on NHS) but it went wrong subsequently. The sutures were removed …
Impossible to make an appointment with a consultant. Left waiting and waiting, no emails replied to no calls returned. Incredible.
All the staff are very attentive, friendly and approachable making discussing the treatment and any problems easy. The food is of a good restaurant standard and there is plenty of it with a three course meal. The room was very clean and it …
I’ve had 2 procedures here, one major, one minor and received great care. I am about to go for another (not related to the ones above) and have no reservations at all. The weight loss clinic/Gastro in particular is amazing with great Surgical and Nursing staff.
Has this place closed down? The phone rings out, and no response from the online booking form after waiting weeks.
Desperately needed to see a Doctor for my regular medication, decided to go private as NHS is such poor service and the doctors are rude and think they above their patients. …
I am so grateful to all the staff at Gatwick Spire for the excellent care I received as an NHS referral. Thanks to great pre- op advice programme, fantastic surgeon and great post- op support, my recovery has been very smooth. If only all hospitals could be as lovely as this one.
Outstanding care! I had a total knee replacement under the care of Mr. Benedict Rogers. I was referred to him through the NHS route and was immediately impressed by his kind attitude. I have historically been subjected to various examples …
Problem with eye ,waited in waiting room for at least 30mins.Procedure was very quick BUT received a bill from specialist no problem £135, then had one from Spire for £330 . I had the similar opp at Ramsey Healthcare the the hospital bill …
Absolutely abysmal on all counts. From admin to management. Spare yourself the bother – There are better clinics in London with better support staff and more choice of consultants, most with a national reputation. Cannot believe this place is still in operation. I suppose anything goes after covid.
I used Spire Gatwick Park hospital for a tonsillectomy and the process from start to finish was easy and fast. All staff were friendly and helpful and I was made to feel very at ease on the day.
Excellent from reception to discharge. Staff so professional and caring. Very efficient. Wonderful private room with good facilities. So clean too. …
Had a consultation in review to a flight medical. Random bill for a pregnancy test came through the door. Two issues, firstly I’m a boy, doesn’t say much for private healthcare when everyone overlooked that point. Secondly my soon to be wife picked it up, nice going spire.
I had a podiatry op yesterday and cannot praise all the staff enough. I was treated 5* from beginning to end. My surgeon James Alvey is an absolute legend. Thank you all at Gatwick Spire Hospital
Really impressed with the care and support I received from both the nursing and theatre teams, strangely enjoyable experience. Felt very comfortable with my stay.
I was actually quite disgusted that a male advisor was there to discuss body image issues with women. Its hard enough for women to gain the courage to call the hospital in the first place but to speak to a non medical advisor and male is ridiculous and quite insensitive to a lot of women who have little confidence.
My son (16 months old) was seen by Dr Hii about a peanut allergy after a very severe allergic reaction. Which was confirmed with a multi allergy blood test. After we went back for results the doctor boggled us with conflicting figures to …
What an amazing hospital.
My stay at gatwick spire was made a positive experience by all the staff who made me feel very comfortable and welcoming.
Clean and comfortable environment. Very helpful and friendly staff. I feel I was really looked after but the staff in Outpatients and By Mr Panose …
