Poor value for money, many useless degrees being there only to lure students in and take their money with no applicable value in the real world. Most staff don’t care about the students and are not accessible. Avoid.
If you are an international student, for some programmes, you are paying £20,000+ for their “online streaming service.” …
Lovely uni, just sometimes so hard to get a bus to city center , too busy
Beautiful campus filled with flora and fauna. Sadly the pandemic means classes are mostly online and students dont really have the opportunity to use the facilities like labs, gym, SUSU building etc. …
I’ve had problems getting hired after attending this university. I believe criminal networks operate there. Steer clear.
Cool place
Spent 5 years studying medicine there to be failed out and banned from campus. Now there are people stalking me and infecting me with viruses on a regular basis. Someone investigate this.
Really loved it, big campuses, easy access to student accomodation and how electronics and computer science department work together to offer wide range of subjects to students. How syllabus is designed and adjusted as per industry needs
Selected University of Southampton for my masters when I had 2 more offers. Feels like the best decision ever. Good climate compared to the other options I had… Near the sea and London which is a double plus… Good sense of community…. Really enjoying the campus… Mainly the pool and library!
Worst admission office ever. Studies will start on 24/09/2022. Today (07/08/2022), I still received nothing. I applied more than 10 universites. This one has the worst admission office. Administration in Lidl works better than this university.
Great University. Lovely feel to the place. Nice lecturers and very supportive. Nice campus with amazing facilities.
A green and clean university campus
Nice campus especially when sunny.
They do online lectures and videos. If you do maths then this is all self taught!!!! Where does the tuition fee go. If I knew a year ago what I know now of Southampton I wouldn’t have sent my daughter there.
Really disappointed in choosing this university, I got most lecturer are Chinese, they are even not professional in English. Doesn’t worth this expensive fees. They don’t care about student’s thought and rigid rules.
The best way to learn something on your own don’t waste your money and time on meaningless classes especially in the uk since you are actually on your own in the uk while you are student but paying some unfair amount of money.
Lovely campus with great facilities. It has some lovely hidden nature spots as well as arty feature statues. The buildings are all appealing and not a far walk between any of them!
Really nice campus, lots of hand sanitiser stations around (inside buildings at entrance). Nice green areas/ courtyards, has shops and other facilities such as a gym/swimming pool/sporting facilities. Also has a weekly market on Monday …
From the day I got there, it had a Marxist agenda. It was not a place of learning, but a place of brainwashing. This is not sour grapes. I got a First Class Honours BA, but walked out of my “Gender Studies” Masters degree, something I am now extremely proud to have done. Had I not, I would be part of a prevailing insanity.
Very well organised Open Day, a really informative and enjoyable experience.
I visited my alma mater after 5 years and boy, was it nostalgic. Obviously there’s nobody there now thanks to Covid and the exams had just finished so there were very few (if at all any) students on campus. The place is neat as a pin as …
nice place to study and take a walk
The university of Southampton has a very memorable , attractive and Landmark place in my life. I was a PhD student there from 1st Oct. 1978 to the end of June 1982. I have not forgot any minute of the time duration that I had been there …
My daughter graduated here this summer and we did a lot of photography in the university and it’s awesome.
A bit of signage would have been helpful absolutely none at all . The staff and volunteers were brilliant . But people were driving round like headless chickens . Just one sign with a arrow directing you off university road would be needed . And a sign for the vaccine and another for the designated rest area
Had to go there for my booster. Beautiful gardens to walk through. A bit tricky to find the health centre though as not on the campus map
Good educational area, environmentally friendly.
I like walking up to the university. The trees are lovely.
I am lucky to study at this University. …
Best university I have studied in
Came here on the university open day. Did not have a good experience at all. Despite being part of the Russell Group the university lacked a lot of attention to details. …
I’ve met some fantastic people at this University, and had some brilliant times. However: The University market themselves in such a way that is very far from how they treat students who pay £9,000 a year as well as over £6,000 for …
Came with my son, who was interested in Aeronautical astronomical engineering, after spending half a day seeing the facilities and attending some introduction lectures, I felt like coming to university again, actually my son told me that I …
Really helpful. Everyone was willing to answer questions and it gave us a good sense of what to expect. Really good to see accomodation. The whole place had a lovely atmosphere.
Can’t say anything good about the cleaning in this place toilets grubby and smell awful right outside the cafeteria aswel my friend was visiting the brige bar and had to leave the dust was settling off her asthma
Pretty good campus. ECS buildings are great, there are a good variety of restaurants, shops and even two pubs. The interchange is also useful if you are catching a coach to a different part of the country…
I came here for a university open day, and despite being told beforehand that I’d be fine for wheelchair access, it was quite the opposite. The accessibility outside was fine. Moving inside the buildings, wheelchair access was appalling. …
Such a beautiful campus, an amazing place to work and to meet brilliant minds from all over the world. Facilities are superb. Staffs are always really helpful.
ATN Cars provide private Airport taxi transfers service to international students at university of Southampton. According to students studying here, this is a great place to be and they have a good support network. We pickup/drop off …
The campus is a bit hard to navigate, but it’s definitely beautiful with lots of coffee shops and nice looking building.
I’m a recent graduate of here and if there’s one thing I can say about Southampton uni it’s that that when the lectures end, the banter begins. My lecturer Dr Sparkle, as we called him, always bought his bag of tricks to the lab sessions, I …
Fantastic place for living.
Very beautiful, well maintained… One of the best…
Dont go here, the university is underwhelming, the surrounding area is disgusting and poorly maintained, the services available are poor, filthy, unhygienic and very behind in technology, the food services in the area didnt even accept …
The university just decided to go ahead with in-person examinations, despite having online alternatives prepared. Almost 7000 students voted for online exams in less than 40 hours, yet after spending several days twiddling their thumbs the …
Nice place, friendly student ambassadors telling us about it!
You are just cash to this place (super graduation 2022)
Beautiful campus, but if you’re an international student, don’t waste your time and money attending this “institution”. They couldn’t care less about the students.
Nice campus!
Love going here for uni. Has incredible facilities and is full of bright minds all working away. There isn’t a better university out there.
Why is there no parking? It’s a shambles. The council keeps extending the permit holder zones outwards from the university because during student term time there is nowhere near the campus for residents to park. And the demand for parking …
Impressive facilities, nice infrastructure, courteous members of staff, strong students support, great globalization policy, beautiful and green campus contribute to the uniqueness of the University of Southampton
Had such a good opinion about the Uni, until I spoke with possibly the bluntest, most uncaring girl ever over the phone during the clearing process. Just assumed that I failed, when in actual fact the exam board messed up the marking of my final unit (which is now under investigation) and I ended up just missing out on my place.
Soton management bsc….despite some good lectures there is a clear lack of organization and Few contact hrs. In my view not worth 9k a yr. (I’m a current student) …
Doctor Sandrine Morawek is a very unpleasant and inhuman person, who looks down on you while inventing facts that never happened. A disgrace to the University of Southampton.
Great campus, brilliantly connected to any kind of transportation, all the services you need, library, food, sports and leisure
Pretty topnotch all round, be super super careful on wet pathways though
extremely bigoted place. avoid.
Good, OK. Nice campus, spread around well. Although, not sure about how they gave numbers to the buildings because it doesn’t flow. In fact, tell you the truth the numbering system is “naff”. We could not go into some buildings as I was …
High quality further education in a modern, well equipped campus. Plenty of green spaces to walk and chill.
Lovely campus, saw a wonderful show at the annex… A real treat.
A great social sciences department. Foreign languages too!
Went to an open day, it was very shoddy and not well maintained.
Great day and so well organised. We done to everyone.
I am having a great experience. The atmosphere is amazing.
Be prepare to struggle and strive – day and night – if you want to earn your PhD here. The research environment is conducive enough. But, its all yours. The library is there. The workstation is spacious enough. The time to spare for your …
There is an extreme lack of car parking
It’s a really nice campus set in parkland on the edge of the city centre.
Good and pretty campus
wide and calm
I studied at the University Of Southampton. In that time I obtained a first in physics. The university was hit and miss. The teaching and academic staff were generally quite good but student services, halls, managers, sport etc all the …
The library makes a good place to have a stress induced panic attack hours before your deadline is due after staying there all night to get it finished and loading up on caffeine, which is now possible 24 hours a day during term time!
Lovely campus with good facilities for even the public to use.
It’s all a lie.
Great campus. Nicely set out. Lovely location.
Great facilities and beautifully kept grounds
The best
Nice campus, green, environmentally friendly. Staff is helpful.
Nice campus, green, environmentally friendly. Staff is helpful. Love it *)
This uni is the best uni in town
It’s a good university with a lovely campus
Beautiful ground, very nice for a walk in the late summer afternoons.
