Having attended Wrightington hospital today, I waited on the cafe for my friend to return following his appointment. Just home after hip surgery. The care friendliness and professional manner of all staff was amazing. Surgery is daunting their care and support made a difficult situation easier. Cannot thank them enough.

Presented myself last Wednesday, unwell, was seen to straight away. Had sepsis, discharged Friday pm , feeling much better for my flight home to Ireland Saturday. Everyone I met there treated me with complete courtesy and kindness. A very positive experience.

In response to P Stanyer, I find your post very strange, as I am Blind and have a blue card, I attended Wrightington Jan 2021, not only did I not have to pay, I found the staff at the hospital most accommodating, medical staff were brilliant and overall assessment is that Wrightington Hospital is outstanding-

I’ve been here many times not just for myself but with others. We have always received the best service possible by the excellent staff. Yes sometimes we have had long waits but you can’t blame the staff or NHS for that can you. Given the resources available to them they work miracles and should be more rewarded for what they do.

My partner got rushed to hospital today because she had a fit and they took her into the a and e and she got left in a hallway for 3 hours without being seen so she ended up stressed and it’s stress that starts her fits off so she signed herself out

Not a place to be during an emergency. Took a guy with a bleeding head there a few weeks ago, and ended up spending hours before common consultations!!!
