I can echo a similar review by RM H. (Go down to * for the negative bit) …
I had an amazing experience with both, antenatal and postnatal care, professional, kind and caring staff. Midwives were absolutely amazing, my contractions took longer than expected so we stayed through 3 midwife shifts (Holly, Valentina, …
I had prenatal care during a hard pregnancy by Dr Fred and Emma back in 2021. They were very professional and told me what I needed to know about my baby’s health. It was a grey diagnosis. I had an echo test for my baby too. On that day the …
I spent an entire day at this hospital (clinic K). The staff is very attentive, friendly and professional. It was the best experience I ever had in a public hospital. Congratulations, you make us (taxpayers) very proud.
they really take care of you during the ultrasounds, but in case any problem is discovered with the baby, they scare you and only bring the worst to the fore. It is discouraging for a mother to have such approaches. My child has that …
Whilst I had an excellent experience in terms of antenatal care, my postnatal care was terrible. …
I never really write reviews, but this time I feel the need to express my gratitude to all doctors and nurses at the Early Pregnancy department who have been so kind and empathetic and have given great care and diagnosis that I can fully …
Very supportive and caring staff at all levels. Was given very professional treatment and advice. All of the facilities were clean, bright and accessible. If anyone had any doubts about whether they would be treated well I can advise based on my own experience that you’d be looked after well.
Great experience, lovely midwives (I think the midwife that delivered my daughter was called Jackie, I was high as a kite on gas and air) and excellent care!
Very very poor experience 2 years ago. I had to be admitted at 33 weeks and they had no rooms in the prenatal ward so i had to sleep on one of the scanning chairs in the assessment unit on the first night whilst heavily pregnant and not …
A wonderful hospital in terms of services and care for patients and nurses, they receive the patient with a smile, as well as the doctors. Thank you for your care and forward ✋😊 …
Firstly I acknowledge that the majority of the fetal medicine staff and neonatal team are excellent, and that is the reason I’ve given 2 stars rather than one.
The staff on labour ward and postnatal are the worst I have ever come across. I …
Postnatal care was very poor, I dont think the mid wife’s/nurses enjoy their jobs there.
Rude incompetent arrogant midwives and breastfeeding consultant who couldn’t care less about you or your baby. Covid is used as an excuse still for the terrible service provided. Would be interested to know how many cases of negligence …
I had my pre-natal checks and c-session at the UCLH, the pre-natal care and doctors were really good. The scans were detailed and conducted by friendlys staff, the operation itself was fast and trouble-free. The doctors are very …
With the exception of one caring and helpful senior midwife who complaints are escalated to, administrative staff and midwives alike have been largely negligent, unsympathetic and disorganised. You will not see the same midwife twice and …
I am now 32 weeks pregnant and this will be my second baby born at UCLH. (My middle child was born in another hospital were the care fell far short of the experience and expectations I hoped for). The care provided by the midwives, …
Reviewing EGA – the maternity wing of UCLH. Should be 1.5 star. Incompetent and unprofessional clinical staff most of the time, with may be two or three exceptions, after many, many medical staff I’ve had the misfortune to deal with. You …
I gave birth to my daughter last week at UCLH, it went all very smooth thanks to some of their amazing midwives. Thank you Lottie and Niamh for supporting me amazingly during the birth and Stephanie for being kind and understanding on the struggling night of breastfeeding.
Our child is not born yet, so I will update later.
I live outside London but have heart condition for which I am already patient at UCLH, so my doctors recommended to stay with them for the birth. …
Me and my wife had such a positive birthing experience here during Covid19 stress and a long and difficult almost 40 hour labour. The staff were amazing, bright and happy, the facilities are clean and rooms are airy. Thank you NHS.
I’ve given birth to my first baby in the pool room on the 17th of January 2020. I cannot express enough my gratitude towards the staff that looked after me before, during and after labour. Their dedication is fantastic and the care I …
I had my first baby here in 2015 – it ended at a still birth unfortunately, because of foreseen circumstances. We moved to this hospital because the Royal Free was semi forcing us into an abortion, which I wasn’t going to do under any …
Absolutely amazing experience with both births. Midwives and staff were excellent, communicated with us every step of the way and made crucial decisions well. I’m so happy we chose this hospital.
My wife is high risk pregnancy. She has had a miscarriage at 22 weeks and at 5 weeks. We are both 45 years old.
You would think this would command special attention and care with her 3rd …
Fantastic support team helped make our labour run smoothly even with our baby making a last min flip! …
I had an appointment scheduled for today at the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Wing. I have been waiting for that appointment for 12 months. While waiting for it I have developed anemia, my hemoglobin is at 7.3, I have lost 12 pounds in weight, …
I went to my 21 scan yesterday and they told me that while everything before was good now the NT showed that my beby could have down syndrome.
They give me the appointment in 9 days as they told me that there is no doctor …
I had my first child here. Despite of everything going wrong with my labour, they remained calm and collected at all times. They kept me informed of everything they were doing, they were kind and funny, even with my mom who doesn’t speak English. In short, absolutely amazing, would recommend to all expecting parents!
Thank you UCLH maternity departament to all your team and especial to our midwife Jenna W. and Alex D. for the hard work what they do to coming save and healthy our first child, little princes Diana. …
Fantastic nurses, working on a strike day, if anyone in this country deserves a pay rise it is the nurses.
Sandra in the reception of the A&E is mistreating patients. I witnessed with my eyes . She should never be the one welcoming people. She is awful with everyone. Very rude answers . Very unhelpful.
Amazing birthing suite. The staff are lovely. The consultants are exceptional. The overnight stays are more traumatic, with shared rooms it’s impossible for new mums to recover.
Thanks to Dr drake Johnson, and the staffs too, y’all are awesome.. God bless
Left to wait three plus hours for a booked appointment left worse than when I come
I had my surgery scheduled at this hospital, and I am so grateful and touched how well I was taken care of. The doctors and nurses were skilled, professional, kind, and wonderful.
This place has become overwhelmed by patients. Waiting times can be 7 hours. Dangerous if you are pregnant with issues. They are also very dismissive of symptoms- if you are trying to prevent premature birth, do not go here. I never post reviews but this has to be said as it can be a matter of life and death
I had a misscarreage i walked in the ward Was completly empty they made me wait +6 hours
Nurses were very nice and helpful in same day surgery operation department. They helped extra mile. Thanks to all
I came here due to my GP’s referral. They said I could wait up to 4 hours and I’ve been here for 5.5 hours already with no further news. I’been the “next” patient for over 2 hrs now. This is beyond disrespectful of patients’ time. Even in the developing countries people don’t get treated like this so I’m shocked..
I broke my arm and went to the hospital they said I should wait for treatmant. I waited for 2 hours with my broken arm. You can imagine how painful it is if you ever broke your arm. Go somewhere special if you can just dont go here
Went here for all my pregnancy appointments and had a water birth at the centre , excellently taken care of
Dedicated, hard-working, caring medical staff here. I’d like to praise the surgeons, nurses and all hospital staff for the valuable role they play in our lives.
Labour ward: waiting for phone call from the team but have not heard anything from them, i hava had to call them numerous of times all i hear is we will get call few hours later,
Nice hospital in the center of London!
Had all three of my babies here by elective c-section. Clean, modern hospital. Great team.
I received excellent care by all the medical staff during my pregnancy and delivery.
My labour experience 2 year ago was very good. Great nursing staff.
The staff at the reception is really bad and disengaged, but, after a long while waiting, the doctor who saw my wife was really good, professional, clear and super attentive.
I coming here almost every week, as I have bleeding, I am very happy with that attention they provide me.
Had a lovely nurse and good overall experience
Awful hospital. Hold women and babies illegally
Fantastic midwives
A very bad hospital in dealing with patients who are at their own expense from government agencies such as (Qatar – Kuwait .. etc.)
I am one of the people who suffered from this hospital, and I swear by God. By God, what I say is a martyr, …
