Write a ReviewAbsolutely shocking bank. We have been unable to connect with their complaints service. No-one reads or replies to our emails. We have had no choice but to report them to the banking ombudsman. I am appalled they are allowed to continue offering retail banking services.
If you read their company goals about high levels of international customer service you will find that you don’t get this. Very limited offerings, poor customer service, very difficult to contact them when they make a mistake (which happens often). Avoid if possible.

Frankly the best online banking platform I ever experienced. Since 2012 they constantly delivered without any fault. Of course, one must not expect the services of a high street bank. Many negative comments come from people who had the wrong expectations from a cheap online banking platform.

zero starts for long wait times and total incompetence. I’ve never been able to accomplish anything when using their customer service. Citibank branches across the world act like independent banks-it is not a collective, cohesive banking network. Find another bank!

Citi talk a good game with regard to their international presence. The reality is they’re cutting costs as deep as possible in places like the UK while pretending to offer a premium service. Customer Service is terrible and they no longer compete with the range of services offered by pretty much every other bank.

I could give them 0 star if I could. They closed my FX account without any prior communication, I was sent a cheque out of the blue for the balance amount and 3 months on my new bank is still chasing Citi to receive the proceeds. Called Citi customer service and I thought I was talking to a robot. I have no words. Stay away.
Don’t bank with them, they really only care about commercial, not consumer interests. They have closed all consumer branches in the U.K. and outsource all customer service to a call centre in Manila. Any special request takes 48 hours for a reponse and their website is essential broken, constantly. If you want a global bank go with HSBC.
Gold account in the US for more than 20 years but very very unhelpful.
The security guard was even nicer than the client reception at the lounge.

We have tried to transfer funds to an account at Citibank London which we have used for many years but it is being rejected.
We have written to them but they returned our letter unanswered by DHL.

Bad reputation for racial discrimination.
Don’t use this bank if you wish to transfer money via the app. Citibank took £600 from my account twice after the app told me the transaction couldn’t be completed. Citibank have refused to put the money back and have caused me distress and hardship. But they do not care. Absolutely disgusting service.

The worst bank I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. My most recent catastrophic experience (trying to add my wife as joint account holder) will be my last with Citibank. My advice is….find another bank.

Hopelessly rude, impatient, and made it impossible to withdraw my money despite having a valid card and ID. Meaning, as a bank their existence is actually worse than completely pointless.
