I went into corby cube phoned for form for reduced council tax now im a pensioner said they would post them out to me this was end of april a woman caroline said to keep paying council tax till its sorted but cant even be bothered tostill no forms sent out

Terrible council. I’m ashamed to call North northants my council. The keyway team are heartless and don’t have time to help you, they are borderline rude and just want to get you off the phone asap

I will be in contact with you over this. I was born and raised in a third world country where minimum wage is equivalent to £1. and somehow the roads were still better than what they are in Corby.

Don’t care about disabled people in this town..the streets are a mess had to replace my wheelchair last year due to the state of the paths and yet they don’t care..think I should give them the bill for it.

Is Corby a third world country now??? Judging by the atrocious services they provide now we are and they have the nerve to force the poorest people and families in to destitution with huge Council Tax rises…. Shame on you!

I have a great respect for the people who work at CBC. They have always been brilliant with me, always very helpful, always very nice. They do a great job of what is a hard job to do. I have nothing but good things to say.
All in all, a great team.

Poor customer service – waited on hold for about half an hour only to be transferred to another department before being cut off with the message “Our lines are now closed. Our opening ours are 9am-5pm”…this was before 4.30pm!

Been waiting for repair since April, been calling and calling just to always hear the same thing someone will be in touch, you are on the top of the list. Yea right! We have a wet room with broken floor, the water now went through to the kitchen and council idea of repair is to put plastic cover over the shower.

Been calling for 2 days now, constantly same message over and over. Call every 30 minutes till 5pm, and still nothing, have sent emails to no avail.

Difficult to contact and when you eventually do people are working from home and one day a week and no continuity or help.
Bring back Corby Council and get rid of the rest

No one answers the phone no matter how long you are in the queue. The website doesnt cover everything you need. Disgraceful!

It’s inside the cube now, 2nd floor. Typical council really. What you see is what you get.
Some staff are lovely to talk to while others need to take a course on manners and general talking to people.

Whoever is responsible for the cleanliness of the town centre should take a trip down Everest lane ,I walked up Everest lane today and was disgusted ,full and overflowing bins,litter everywhere and solidified fat inches high on the edge of the road ,this is our town centre!!!!

Great council despite financial issues. Hope it will always be there to serve people of Corby.

I have been trying to phone the council but it just keeps repeating the options but not letting me through to the number that I chose

CBC I’ve got to say is one of the best Council’s I’ve ever had to experience.

Caring for the community

Apparently , we all need to take time stamped photos to prove that we have put our bins out for collection!
My bin was not picked up this week, so I phoned the Cube Refuse office and was basically told that unless I could prove I had put my bin out I would have to wait for the next collection (2 weeks time)
Frankly, I find it an insult that my word was doubted by public servants who seem to think this is funny!
I resent the inference that I am a liar.
It is no wonder Corby has become the dirty horrible place it has.
Why are Management never available to answer questions. They make stupid rule such as this , and are not there to take the flack when complaints occur.
Their Management system , lack of accountability and borderline rudeness reminds me of Monty Pythons Flying Circus. A formal complaint has been forwarded to the Council Leader Adele Wylie. However after other recent disasters in the area (Hooke Close Warehouse) it is becoming highly evident that they are incapable of organising a booze up in a Brewery!
